Why does 'fixing' the current ragdolls mean ANYTHING has to be rebroken? Is it utterly unthinkable that they could fix it, without busting whatever magical other features you are so sure, will be broken again? Maybe if they did a simple roll back of whatever code it was..yeah..then it could make things worse. But pretty sure no one mentioned this. Simply saying..'can we get it fixed' does not mean roll it back and give us whatever was also wrong in that other case.

A lot of these icons are wrong. The dom proc is a resist icon. You would think they could at least have found some closely related powers to reference.

Doing the new arcs in steel with friends. On a lvl 50, leader is 15, only one with the mission. We get up to teh Fight Sun Xiong mission. I enter first, because I happened to be closer.
We beat him up, she choosers to kill him. I get the following in system chat:
[NPC] Sun Xiong: No... this cannot be...
You gain 49,120 influence.
You received Vanguard Merit.
You received Vanguard Merit.
You gain 11,976 influence.
You received Dramatic Improvement.

I was the ONLY one who got the badge. It is an achievment one..and every other similar badge, like the roy cooling rescue one..awards to the WHOLE team. But not this? Seriously, wtf is with these badges? And I got it..seemingly just cause I went in first? Yeah thats awesome..so if you are doing them in a big team..you have to make sure no one goes in before you..
Update.
Later in another arc, Laura's, there is another badge mission..and we ALL got this one. Again..totally no sense in how they are awarding. Then she got the badge for the arc completion and we did not. -
The ingame pet looks really cool..then I right clicked and looked at its mugshot..its looks like Lassie! Way to nice and just..doglike. How about making teh bio pic a lil more..beasty looking?

Yes. Because most of the other MMOs I've played managed to do so. I'd give specific examples if mentioning another game by name wasn't cause for banning on these ferkakta forums.
How it is blatant? Did you miss reading the part where I said that I did exactly the same in a duo with a friend..and we were allowed to continue the contacts..WITHOUT doing the personal missions. Maybe it is a bug? Cause it sure as hell can not be happening to everyone doing the DA content. And if it was..oh man, a 5 minute solo mission? And 6 of them? You POOR guy. How dare they try to enrich the plot and lore for us. Those evil, conniving overlords.
And..because other MMOs do something..that automatically means THIS one should? Even if it never has, or if the devs dont, you know..want to do whatever it is you think your entitled to, in THEIR mmo? That is like saying that movie/book/song/car/etc Xxxx does things this way, so why should it EVER be any different? Genius argument. -
Telling stories..instead of making a game. Hmm that is funny..since you could argue that every single type of game is just..telling a story. Things happen, cause other things to happen..it progresses, further, backward.
And yet..you are moaning that we have ONE zone which has 6(?) personal missions in which we are not 'us', in order to advance the game. Sorry! Not the game..the STORY.
Still not seeing why this is a problem..besides you thinking it is. And you even admit to playing a ton of single player games. Are you honestly expecting an MMO to have stories as focused on you a SP game? -
NPC's should not be the focus?
Um..hello..this is an MMO. You know..massive..multiplayer. Yes, it is an RPG..but it does not state 'mmorpg, you will be the focus and most important person online at ALL times, we promise!'
Surely it is MORE credible, especially in an MMO, that instead of 100,000 people who are ALL the most important character in the game, all at once...that instead we are just inhabiting the universe that the game takes place in? Sure, sometimes we are super important and can do it all. Other times, we work for someone, help someone, fight in a league of other people.
Duuh, if you don't get it, there is really no point arguing. MMO..not always the focus. If you want everything in the game to just revolve around you..go play a single player RPG. There is a GOOD reason they are called..ya know..single player. -
Aka...pants on head. All the other accomp missions function as..'if you are in there, you get said badge.' Why are some of the longest and toughest badge missions now in game..different?
Oh, and to bring up the above example of Roy Coolings arc..That badge mission will NOT auto complete, yet..the people in the mission...STILL get the badge, from that first mission complete, even if it is not theirs!
Likewise the very end of Roy's arc. Finish the arc on player 1's mission..player 2 will get the accomp badge for the arc AND can auto complete theirs via stacking. SO..wtf. -
Oh...I see. The limit of story arcs that has been in place since..I started playing? Which has..you know..NOTHING to do with the personal story missions at all. And..if he did have to many arcs open..doesnt that just mean he has a lot of NON personal missions active, meaning he maybe needs to take his own advice and go do arcs that are not the personal ones..

A bit confused by this...you are saying we are FORCED to do teh personal missions in order to progress in DA? Leaving aside the fact that said personal missions are 5 minutes each at teh worst...answer me this.
I went to DA with a friend. We started the arcs together. On getting Heaters solo mission..we both said..'Oh, its solo. Let's keep going with the contacts and do the solo one whenever we have time.' And..you know what? The game had NO ISSUE with this. It let us be introduced to the new contact, go see said contact, start and progress through his arc...all without going near these 'evil' personal missions.
So...again..please tell me..WHEN are we forced to do them?? -
Kinda shocked they gave the set a power boost AND life drain..seems a little TOO good. Sure..sets like earth and em can power boost seismic smash's hold, and total focus stun, in addition to the entire primary...but PB + life drain and a damage boost??
I got the same feeling when I first saw Shadow Meld for stalkers...Did the dev team actually MEAN to make something so good, or was it a chance collision of awesome? -
That is a really cool timeline. Now..if we could just get one for ALL the events in CoX, like the TF plots, SSA's etc...that would be something really cool to see.
About the only thing in the DA plot I had an issue with, was Requiem beating up Reichsman. Sure, old Reichs was only at his full power near his machine, but he was still 'invincible' away from it. He still has more HP than ANY normal, non incarnate hero.av in game..suggesting he is on a different scale of power.
As for Req,..the guy is a gimp. On itf, he often dies before people even realise he is there, from aoes. He powered up Rommy..somehow..but not himself? Ok..yet now, he is beating up arguably the toughest guy about. -
I guess it is because the system is viewing the mission as 'auto completed' and assuming it has not been..played out. I can see the sense in that. In the assumption..not the actual case. Especially since just about every other accomp badge mission will NOT let you auto it anyway..so why should the system be assuming my friend did in fact auto complete, instead of just DOING the entire mission with me?
Oh, another thing.
Also noticed, if we (the duo) complete the current mission, that is, MY mission, and mine automatically jumps to the next in the story (ie, without having to call contact, accecpt mission) that nearly every time....my friends mission would have NO location.
It would be in her mission list 'Kill XXX' and just have a blank spot where it usually says 'Whatever Zone.' With this additional bug, it actually makes it impossible to then enter her mission..even if she wanted to, in order to get the badge.
Seen this bug a LOT recently, especially when stacking mission arcs with friend. Some poor person even had in in the Mender Ramiel arc..her trapdoor mission had no location to enter. -
My friend petitioned it, but had to go to bed. SO not sure what will happen...
BUT
I remember us doing the same thing with teh shining stars arcs, as lowbies. I was the 'holder' she just had the missions. And she got no badges either. She petitioned that and they basically said..tough ****, you should do it yourself. Great support. -
They are awesome. That is not an issue.
I have been doing them with a friend right from the first contact, stacking the missions as we go. In spite of this, every Accomplishment badge..she does NOT get. The arc ones, yes. I am assume this is not actually a bug but working as intended. In which case..it is utter rubbish. Considering every other badge arc in the game awards them to EVERYONE on the mission (besides Monty;s arc) wtf is the reason for this??
Is it because the DA content is somehow 'solo'? The idiotic assumption that EVERYONE will be soloing, and therefore be the mission 'holder'? Surely the fact she HAD the missions, counts? It can't tell the difference between someone just joining, without the mission themselves, and someone with it?
This is just a huge buzz kill for me. We both really enjoyed the arcs..but to be cheated out of badges just cause the game is either too dumb to see we both have the missions, or due to some stupid reason in the dev team..is just silly.
At the very LEAST the contacts should come with a huge warning to prepare people..that if you are not the holder, you wont get the badges. -
Agreed...was talking about this yesterday with a friend. Come to think of it, pretty much EVERY team/league/solo mission I have done since the ragdolls went up the creek, had a part when I just stopped playing and shook my head. Sure, it IS funny the first few times you see a guy head first in the wall, upside down, while his feet touch the roof, but then it just gets lame and annoying.
Not to mention how easy it is too have bad guys trapped with the ragdolls. Also, it makes KB pretty broken..in a good way (assuming they dont get stuck..). Sooo many times I kb someone, and they get stuck in a tangle of limbs (their OWN limbs) on the floor, and simply cant get up. When this happens with an eb..it is very lame.
Sure we can understand physics are a big technical thing...but really...enough is enough. -

So I was doing the new DA arcs just now, Max's one. And get to the Blue Steel fight. He has a baton and shield..so I assume..mace/shield right? Logical.
Then..I notice the RttC debuff icon on me! He is mace/willpower?? But no..the Against all Odds debuff icon is there too!! Meaning he is mace/shield/wp, and created in AE! The ghaaastly truth.
On another note..when can we get 2 defensive power sets like him? -
City pf Heroes Freedom, putting the..crotch in CoX since 2004? (or whenever)
But seriously..it does look way better than stupid states vs generic robot minion, which pretty much everyone seemed to hate. -
Update..
Just did the two new low level Villain arcs..really enjoyed them. Great fun, good plots. Loved seeing all the destined ones go mad.
But..
TWO reward merits? After all those bosses? Is this another case of the 'placeholder' reward amounts from Test not being updated when the arcs went Live?
Another 'bug'? Just went to DA and thought I would search how many people are in the zone. So..I open search, the zone tab and guess what...DA is not there! Um..yeah..ok? Apparently it is as a hero, according to a friend..as a villain..no sign of it. -
Very dark. The zone is dark astoria..but still. A lot of the missions there..maps are veeery gloomy.
Also think DD trial is a bit too easy. Comparing it to how MoM and Tpn were the first week..DD is cake. I was saying to a friend it could be cause of the mob type changes? The preatorians are pretty much all round nasty, to most builds. Psi damage, mezzes, bosses with huge melees, vickys with crits. Drain psy on minions. I have not done DD as a melee yet..but I have a feeling, even at +2, it will be much easier.
A few annoying bugs. Sadly..I think I can live with them for now. Not because they are not annoying..but more because I have just resigned myself to numerous new issue bugs.
Really enjoying the DA arcs so far. Love teh zone and the baddies. The solo missions add an extra dimension of backstory and give better understand of the characters. One think I didnt like..in Max's solo arc, you open a CRATE (yes, a lil box) and pull BM's halberd out. Um..wtf..is it a special fold away halberd? The midget version?
Overall..my view of i22 is..Nom Nom. You will see why as you do the arcs..everything gets Nom Nom'd on. -

Worth noting when I redid the mission, I was VERY careful not to move, after hitting bottom. Then I flew up, a fair distance, and the prompt area came up again. So it is doable.
Again..be sure not to move while falling, then fly up. -
I love new issue bugs. The are such fun.
Doing the redside entry to DA arc, find operative Castrin.
Went through the outdoor bit..fell into huge hole.
Get to the bottom, and a prompt for DA1 or DA2 appears.
Still trying to see wtf is happening so dont click instantly.
Prompt VANISHES.
Try to jump up again and trigger the prompty area.
Get stuck in wall, cant move at all. /Stuck does jack.
Have to use Pocket D porter to get out.
Just a little annoying. Still..the content can ONLY get better.. -

Doing the new DD trial earlier, I got this from some of the mobs. Saw a pop up and everything. However, when I looked after we finished..I cant find it. Where does it appear? And why did it go away? Is it even MEANT to be dropping from that trial?
