  1. If we do this again, I'll probably try to coax the Teamsters into running something or other. Right now we're working on a top-secret project.

    I could totally do this!

I swear we had this EXACT SAME conversation in Protector Vigilance like, four times, Layla. xD
  3. Never turning down a chance to win a Layla doll...there's a few other members of my SG I'd like to gift them to.

And no, it's not because I don't love the dolls-I want to have a hundred and forty!-but because I already have one so I'm giving some other people the chance to have their very own first, particularly people I know will never get them for themselves. They do make lovely gifts!
  4. There are other servers?! O.O

  6. +1

This was a really well-organized event. I can't describe how incredibly annoying I found having my e-mail inbox flooded on a daily basis, but it was worth it to see (almost) everything go off without a hitch.

My regular gang of SG/VGmates got together for the CCs, and took home a ton of prizes, as well as getting a few more people interested in playing with us. It was really cool to be able to go out in the open and "scare the wildlife" (aka, roleplay in local with people around) and get attention for the SG/VG that way. We're super excited to see if any of the people who messaged us interested in joining will actually show up!

KJSR.net got a TON of new listeners and they probably got to hear some of the DJs they don't normally hear on the weekends. I know the DJs had an absolute blast, and a few times in global/broadcast I even saw someone go "OMG, the DJ said my name!" or things to that effect. I was glad we could be a part of this!

The story. I know I've been in on this since practically the beginning, but it had a very WALL OF TEXT feel to it if you weren't reading every. single. update. I think this contributed to a "TL;DR" feeling about it for a lot of people.

The rush factor of the Costume Contests. I loved all the categories, but for a few (like the Best Villain Duo+) my folks were really scrambling to get swapped to new toons, get costumes changed, etc. I think we needed a little more space between them-say ten minutes instead of five.
  7. Gracious, that costume IS really glowy! O.o

I was on Rhys Alexander, my only male toon. He's the little green and yellow guy next to Tarikoss. He's a shrimp...
  8. Apparently my chatlogging IS actually working, it's just not putting the files in order by date any more, which is why I couldn't find any of my recent files. Thanks for the help attempt, KuriositysKat - I'm just blind as a bat. ^^;

    1) Start
    2) Control Panel
    3) Click on Appearance and Personalization
    4) Click on Folder Options
    5) Go to the Tab "View" and click on box marked "Show hidden files, folders or drives"
    6) Click "Apply" then "Ok"

Close out that screen. Open Windows Explorer. Open your User (your name)folder. There will be a slightly faded folder called "AppData", open it check through all three of the folders shown: "Local", "LocalLow" and "Roaming" for the Virtual Store folder. Be aware there maybe a Virtual Store folder in all three folders. Open the Virtual Store folder. Open the Program files(x86) folder look for "City of Heroes" folder and you should find the missing logs in there. Copy or move them manually back to the MAIN City of Heroes folder then you can safely delete them. That should solve your problem.

    I hope this helps.

It probably would help, if I wasn't using Windows XP Home. Is there a parallel solution to this one for XP?
  10. Hey all. Here's a problem that's been frustrating me for the past few days.

I'm a roleplayer, and I have chatlogging enabled on all of my characters. I often go back and look through my old chatlogs for information.

Lately, even when I have chatlogging enabled on a character, I get no log. At all. It's not anywhere on my system, let alone in C:\Program Files\City of Heroes\game where it SHOULD be. I have checked and double checked and tripled checked my chatlogging, on logging in, logging out, and in the middle of my gameplay, and it always says "enabled" but nothing is being logged!

I'm ready to tear my hair out over this one. Please help!
  11. I'm on the air in 20 minutes to kick off KJSR.net's coverage of the Day of Vigilance! You can tune in at KJSR.net!
  12. I finally narrowed down my choices. :3 See you tonight!
  13. KJSR.net will be on the air with live DJs from 9 am 'til Rasta decides to shut down his broadcaster sometime around midnight, announcing and covering all the events. Almost all of the DJs will be taking requests, so be sure to tune in and get them to play what you like!

I'm going to go with that for now, since it's the only logical explanation other than "the devs don't know what 'nigh' means".
  15. I have here a list of 26 badge titles with costume ideas for each one and which character I'd use for which badge...

    Now to narrow it down to just one. >.>;

I know what badge you're going for!

As a side note: The Day of Vigilance is on July 9th. Am I correct in assuming this is some kind of pre-event costume contest, since it's happening the day before the actual event? Also, are you going to get screenies with the UI turned on of all the contestants before people leave? I think it'd be a great thing to have posted in this thread after the fact!
  17. You get Indestructible for taking 500k points of damage.

You get Nigh Indestructible for taking 25 million points of damage.

"Nigh" means "nearly", so should those be, I dunno, reversed?

Just something I noticed earlier and thought should be pointed out.
  18. You know, I wasn't even interested in this event until I saw that one of the Layladolls was part of the grand prize.

NOW you have my undivided attention.
  19. The more I hear about it, the less apprehensive I'm getting. That doesn't mean I'm happy with the changes. I don't like change. I'm an "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" type of person. But I'm not nearly as horrified that it means CoH is dying as I was.
  20. Another vote for the Bolero coat with wings. I play a lot of faeries, as do the people in my SG, and we'd LOVE to be able to have "formal" costumes with the Bolero coat!
  21. The point of this list is to toss ideas out there, whether they're feasible, practical, or not. If we don't say "Hey, this would be nice!" we're never going to get it-the devs aren't mind readers!

...well, except for the ones who are.
  22. The sausage curl hairstyle is really ugly, unless you're building a creepy animatronic doll, but the hat is nice and I'd like to be able to use it with relatively normal, straight hair or with short, pixie-cut hair.

I'd actually like to see a lot of costume pieces revamped with the new technology and re-released, but that would be a heck of a lot of work just to make the game prettier.
  23. Happy birthday, Rasta! <throws cake>
