Ok, there's going to be a crack at getting a raid going at 20:00 tonight. Blue Rabbit has kindly posted up a message on the badge channel.
Gather at the usual spot for an 8ish start and some tasty merits.

I may join on sunday but wouldnt mind doing some Mothership Raiding tonight if there is enough people.

Cool. I will drop by RWZ and see if anyone's about.
I asked 'Spider previously and he seemed up for it. Not sure what his plans are. Could you take the reigns on the ship if we're short a capable leader Spawnus?
I've only lead prior to the change they made, so I use directions as I don't know the numbers, and I've not led once upon the ship.
I'm sure there must be enough wanting merits for weapons and cossie parts to get one going.
(first I need to run out for a beer raid)

Yeah I've swung towards Scirrocco and Mu Mastery, but just wanted to check I hadn't over looked anything from Ghost Widow 1st.
It's a project character so pretty heavily themed. I've got enough problems writing my way around even having a patron (he's a Riktified Vanguard hero). I'm guessing I'll [censored] something in a hatchett retcon job making out he had a patron *before* being Riktified
. But how the hell I could account for a Mu pet... (maybe I'll just call Joe Quesada
).
Not sure whether I'll tool this one up for PvP or not, but otherwise the pet, yes, is nice.
Thanks for the opinions and info, will help a lot.
Dom's are probably about my favourite game AT. I have a Plant/Thorns 50, and after this Mind/Energy, I got a Grav/Psi to work on, and then there's always the Ice/Psi I'm toying around with off and on... but, I did promise myself a /rad Corruptor next.

Any saucer action going on tonight? Anyone up for some?
-
Warburg was kind of fun last night.
Couple of problems with it, being that as it's meant to be FFA, it got tricky to have multilpe teams going on. There was a full vill' team, a full hero team and smaller teams outside that. It's hard to integrate smaller extra teams into the big battle as it ends up about 16 on 4.
Quite a few stayed though, and The Supernation to their credit did have a well structured team with loads of -acc, -dam buffs and stuff, and the bunkered down well making it very hard with pugging randomers to crack them. Some nice battles though. Shame it never really leaves the beach though in that zone
.
I did notice one thing as I was about to swap toons. Logging out, inside the hospital, a villain in another team was able to hit me. Bug?? -
WOW! Coin, that is EXCELLENT! It's one of the best MMOArt pieces I've seen. You must be well chuffed
! Big grats!

...he saw what a pummeling Coin took

Not at all! I'm quietly, er... plotting. Yes, that's it... plotting...

Tea anyone? -

It is convenient there were no recordings of the battle!
[/ QUOTE ]
A recording could show Coin scoring a kill on Mesmer. That is all. Which could record Coin as victor.
There could be no explanation for the timer suddenly jumping from 10 minutes to 3, to 0... apart from "lens flare". -
[ QUOTE ]
... so I've sent Coin off to the Shadow Shards to pine forever more
[/ QUOTE ]
Oh now see what you've done! The Menders tell of a time when Coins pining led to hate. Hate led to anger, and Coin brings about TEH COMING STORM is his forlorn wrath!!! -
[ QUOTE ]
It was not a battle. Coin was simply massacred. Repeatedly. Love does NOT conquer all.
[/ QUOTE ]
Oh I think it does. Ruby LOVES BIG rings. Her insane frenzy (and Mesmer's abject fear of losing gadget rights) spurred Mesmer on against mammothty unfavourbale odds and drove him to an unlikely but hard fought victory against that utter bounder, Coin, a usually much more ferocious and greatly skilled foe.

I have a Mind/Energy Dominator that I'm getting to close to having to decide about Patrons with.
I want an armour, and I want a +end recovery, so my choices look like being Ghost Widow, or Scirrocco for Soul Mastery, or Mu.
They look fairly similar in what they offer, and being reeaaaally retentive, I want to make sure the looks of either compliment my toon, but I cna't recall seeing how either of these animate on a Dominator, or how they are styled.
What do the Mu Charged Armour and Power Sink look like? Do they animate in red, as per Elec/Brute and Mu sets?
What sort of effect or tone does the GW armour have?
Thanks.

You will regret not taking Mind Probe. ItÂ’s one of the most damaging attacks of the set.
[/ QUOTE ]
Definitley. It's a bread and butter attack for sooo many levels. It's to /Psi what Skewer is to /Thorns. Don't skip it! -
My Grav/Psi is a stage magician. I chose Grav' as it seemed to have more hooks for conjuring tricks than Mind' which I guess would be the other obvious choice. But levitating stuff, throwing stuff around, and teleporting stuff with wormhole just seemed a lot more fun and characteristic of the toon.
So, of course, I HAVE to take Propel, for the conjuring of random objects from a hat. No rabbits as yet... CURSES! -
Quite a few people blog their character adventures, using Blogspot too.
You're not getting any commercial benefit from it, so it really probably just falls under the same kind of bracket as a fan site.
-
I heard a fair few gloves being slapped in a fair few faces...
. All I can say is, "CURSES!".

Energy Blasters represent!

Represent what? The floor, Prox? -

We thinking big server SG match? Or pentads?
cause if it's the latter you should just announce Vindicate the winners now
[/ QUOTE ]
I doubt we can get a good team for defiant, let alone get to choose ATs... Besides...I thought everybody had moved to Union already..
I would represent defiant but team pvp just doesnt get me excited... Plus I havent played for ages
[/ QUOTE ]
Obviously some hint of sarcasm Hammer',, as seems to be some healthy signup numbers from Defiant in the thread already.
Are they all gonna be farmed to the hilt, hulked up IO'd toons... doubt it. We seem to be a little more worldly and chilled on that side.
But for a bit of a laugh and some fun in a big chaotic ruck, hell I'd probably even bring one of my gimpy toons for the laugh. We're a bit over the semi hard ons about hur hur our server's better isn't it? Sounds fun.
I don't know how to PvP. Plus, I hardly ever do.
Sign me up. Defiant. Some gimpy Kheld or something
.
I'm sure GG could get up early/late and represent.

The battle will take place tomorrow night, Thursday 24th January in the Galaxy City Arena, time to be determined!!

Pocket D you cad! *ahem* I mean, good man. -
These gearing more or less up to regular weekly Friday/Sunday slots again? There installments this week?
I reckon if so, and if the Thursday PvP bash has another good attendance, perhaps Ghost Raptor could bin out the old "What's on Defiant Heroes/Villains" and have a new one stickied up? -
3VP was great fun. It seemed to get derailed by the World Cup rounds going on in the latter part, but otherwise worked really well.
Think the ratings are a great idea, but maybe a little unweildy to manage to get a bit of a faster arranged and played version going? -
Psi' really builds much later on and around a few big keystones such as Drain Psyche and Psychic Shockwave.
I have an Ice/Psi and a Grav/Psi at lowbieish levels and what I noticed is that Psi' seems pretty quick, fluid and dynamic, and will require getting into melee and close range with multiple enemies fast to maximise those keystone powers that are Pbaoe/aoe, and that that seems to sync really well with the amount of quick control with something like Ice, whereas Grav', compared to the other sets I've experienced to varying levels (to 50 on some, just mid and lowbie on others), seems a little more clunky to wield and seems a bit more cautious in locking down the AoE control to set you up into using those great Psi' powers.
Wormhole, Drain Psyche, Shockwave I guess will be a regular chain?
I think the pair will work ok together but it's gonna take a while getting to a level where they really sync off each other. And I don't think it'll be a whirlwind of control and assault that some other sets and combinations will be.
Grav', to me so far, looks like it's going to lack a little bit of AoE hard/soft control that other sets offer in spades.
With Ice you have Slick, Fire, Flashfire, Mind gives you A whole bunch via Terrify, Mass Hypnosis, Mass Confusion, Plant gives you 'Creepers and Seeds Of Confusion. All really nice quick tricks to maintain mob control beyond the holds and immobs and opportunities to bring the really good stuff in Psi into play.
Grav' seems a lot more clunky and I think in my view generally much more single target orientated. And much more methodical. I think it'll still work out as a combination and I intend to carry on levelling my own Grav/Psi, as above all, it's pretty fun.

Defiant offers some reasonable PvP fun for those who want to look for it
[/ QUOTE ]
Ssssh! The first rule of Fight Clubs is... -
Defiant PVP is dead...
Please, keep this story alive. PvP I've had there recently has been the best and most fun for a while since that started circulating and IMO is something that's seeding and growing naturally and moving in the right direction.

We'll be there again. Probably try villains from the outset this time.
Be interesting to see how it works, but could be good fun if things move inland a bit and mix up with a few factions.
