Nice going Arch! Thanks for introducing more people to PvP! What do we think about holding zone battles every other week under the PvPEC banner -- would this be a good way to introduce people to PvP? Or would something more structured like bi-weekly kickball or a 2v2 ladder be better? I'm looking for ideas to get more people to PvP and some help from the Infinity PvP community to make it happen.

Aye -- very good times! For the very first time ever, I think we actually played RV like the Dev's intended! While an 8 man team can take down an AV, it was much quicker with the 3 heavies helping out -- it allowed four heroes to concentrate on an AV while the other four kept the villains off our backs.

I don't know the level of pvp experience your usual zone teams have, Johnny, but I'd stress to them that zones are free-fire zones -- anything can and will happen. As long as they keep in mind that they're likely to face villain resistance, AV hunts can pretty fun!

In all honesty, I haven't played with Gladiators in quite a while so this info may be a bit rusty. But basically, your choice of gladiators is based on your badges. Usually if you get a kill# badge, you have the option of using that NPC as a gladiator. Some are overpowered and thus disallowed in the competition. Each combatant is allocated a certain number of points to spend on assembling their gladiator team -- each gladiator is worth a different number of points. For example, a Freak Tank will cost you more then a run-of-the-mill COT. I don't know if everyone gets the same number of points or whether someone with more badges might have more points to spend. Bring your character with the most badges -- that will give you the greatest flexibility in choosing your team. You run them just like a MM runs their pets. Its also worth it to select a mix of guys -- some offensive and some buffers/debuffers.

I don't know which ones are better then others. As they're NPCs, select the ones you remember being pretty tough.

Yup -- am I not getting the bonus because I'm already getting five copies of the +2.25% to health? I always thought the 5 copies rule applied to specific IO *sets* rather then 5 copies of the same *bonus*

Think I found a bug. Gladiator's Armor isn't giving me the +2.25% health that it's supposed to in either pvp or pve. Has anyone else seen this issue?

To play the devil's advocate, having everyone stick to specific toons for the tournament allows the opponents to game against each other. If you know what you're fighting, you can develop tactics to counter their strengths. It makes the matches more strategic. And, because the tournament is only for a specific length of time, you can switch out your toons or even find another teammate for the next round.

Personally, I like forcing people to stick to AT &amp; powerset combos.

The rules look great to me! I'm in as a participant. Also, let me know if I can help organize or manage!
