Quote:I'm quite sure that each of the pet's powers acts individually when it comes to slotting, and therefore the powers in question (Prot Bots' bubbles and Thugs' Maneuvers), which cannot slot any of the aspects of Lysosomes (Acc/-Def/-Tohit), won't be affected by that HO. An Enzyme should still work, as those powers can take the Endredux of Enzymes, but I can't confirm that as it doesn't have the appeal for me the Lysosome did: Accuracy.I have no idea why, but the Lysosome trick doesn't appear to work for MM pets.
The reason you can still slot the Lysosome in the pet in general is the pet's attacks could be slotted with the Acc in Lysosome. -
Check my guide for relevant info on that combo. Basically you are going to want every attack in Electric except for Havoc punch, and everything you can fit from nin except for Smoke Flash, with the option to skip some others.
Here is a modified version of a build Youmunokonpatu(sp?) posted some time ago that will work quite well. I believe it was supposed to take the spiritual alpha, but I'm not completely sure on that. If you try a more expensive build, you can get enough recharge to skip spiritual and grab musculature instead.

Quote:Since when were we talking about "balance?" Figuring out ways to overcome weaknesses is the way to optimize whatever set you take.1) The game is not balanced around Incarnate powers, especially since many will not even have access to those now or just not want Clarion.
Quote:2) You can only carry so many break frees.
Quote:Try telling a brute to "just take break frees and skip the mez protection, it provides less protection overall and costs you endurance".
Quote:Oh yeah, the biggest factor is that Force Field and Sonic focus on buffs to self and allies. Time Manipulation focuses on debuffs that can miss, be resisted and have "max number of targets" limits.
Buffs to self and allies are always better against more enemies and tougher enemies than resistable debuffs with target number limits. -
Quote:Use breakfrees. At 50 take clarion. Problem solved. It only makes it harder for you to be hit, and only while it is still active.
The first mez that manages to hit you takes down the offensive toggle Time's Juncture and you lose ALL your -to-hit.
You get mezzed and you're screwed.
Honestly, Time Manipulation is really good for a mastermind, but it is not my choice for best survivability and ease of use.
I still prefer Force Field(possibly Sonic as well) for keeping myself and pets alive easily, despite the lack of a heal. It's just better to have always on damage mitigation than the only really reliable thing being heals(if you're not mezzed at the moment and prevented from using anything).
So no, Time Manipulation is not great for "tankerminding".
I'm pretty sure the above mentioned Thugs/Time was just gaining initial aggro which was then shrugged off on the pets as they did damage. -
-
Interesting. 6 stalkers performing an AS will cause enough -tohit to floor even an AV, since it is unresistable. 8 would effectively put the team at the incarnate softcap...
-
Quote:Well, you've still got alt+ 0-9Its the switching forms back and forward that boggles my brain i use a ten key play style where 0-9 is my top bar shift + 0-9 is my middle bar and ctrl + 0-9 is my bottom row. since i'm primarily a melee AT player top row is my attacks second row is aura's and botoms is misc usually travel powers run rest teleport powers (pocket d base mission) and because of how i'm accustomed to playing i cant find the right power set up for when i tried tri form on my pb.
-
Quote:...The op's complaint is that it is too much like a snipe.well you can always take a sniper attack as a Stalker from a Patron Pool if you want to....that is to say if someone feels they need to have some high damage opener attack still.
I personaly use a Sniper Shot with one of my stalkers...to do long range Assasination hits....
Yah i know i wont ever do the damage of a Blaster...but it still makes me happy hitting something at a very long range away....having it run towards me....then i use my assassin strike on it.... -
Oh definitely. I was just referring to soloing in human form. I may respect one of my other two builds to include it.

Quote:Ya, for AV thumpin I think I would prefer to keep the shields since it will take more than the 90s; for non-AV thumpin, I should have enough bodies for eclipse anyway. I'd really like it for Extractions, but it's just not going to fit in any of my builds.Yeah that's true, and it's why I'm still debating. Also because I'd have to work in Super Speed... *cringe* The fact that it would cost me 2 powers makes it pretty much impossible for me- I dropped grav snare for the s/l shield after our last talk, so I wouldn't mind dropping that for Burnout but idk how the heck I would get SS in. On my Tri Form builds I find my power choices are much more 'free.'
Side note: Single target fights tend to be a pain on endurance since you can't use Stygian circle; you might run into a problem with burnout's debuff, even if you wait to use eclipse. -
So this is what I'm thinking:
Code:Softcap pets and self, isoftcap to s/l/e for self, or can stack pb'ed farsight for isoftcap on all. Am I going to run into problems anywhere or will this work? Quote:Possibly, and that's actually a good idea; however, it would only be for a little less than 90 seconds, and an AV fight usually takes longer than that... I'll have to think about itHmm, but do you think being able to cap your Eclipse with three targets would make your Human Form shields unnecessary? I'm actually thinking about trying to fit it in somehow.
-
That sounds like an old bug where you couldn't do anything with the defeated clocks on that trial. It was supposedly fixed several patches ago, but it's possible it got reintroduced somehow.
-
Quote:Several ghost entities (mainly CoT) despawn immediately upon being defeated, so you cannot use them. Also, be aware that the warwalkers despawn more quickly upon defeat than other entities, so you have to launch dark extraction immediately to get one before they disappear.Since we are on the subject of fluffies, are there any types of dead bodies that you can't use for dark extraction?
I have been playing my warshade alot more now that I've invested in him fairly heavily and I've been noticing sometime the animation will happen and no fluffy spawns. -
You would also be able to grab two dark extractions at the beginning of a mission or before/during an AV fight, reducing your "ramp up" time. If I had an extra spot for it, I would get it.
-
A little thing that says "pets" should show up on the team window once you have enabled it under options.
-
Recharge will help your time powers and hell on earth. Other than that you can try to push for softcap for your pets, yourself, or both. Not a whole lot is really "necessary."
-
Quote:I got the prince now and have seen a solid rise in damage and survival because of him. If the second empowerment is good too, I think this combo will turn out really well.
I am interested in Demons/time works out. My Bots/time at level 26 is underperforming my Demons/Sonic at level 25. They are not purple powered juggernauts at this point, but it's an interesting comparison. -
-
The devs have said many times (especially castle) that it was always their intention that you take and use the forms. This is why castle repeatedly refused to give mez protection to human form. Perhaps that closed-mindedness is changing now, but they originally did not intend for people to go human only.
-
Ya there was a post by positron long after that one by castle that said they had allowed the hami thing to become a feature (in other words not big enough for them to worry about). I'd link to it, but that post got lost to the forums eons ago.
Psy, how much end redux would you say I need? I'm not concerned with the slow because my secondary is time. (Was trying to match softcap from time with resistance of demons for uber survival, but their damage is so far disappointing compared to bots and thugs so I'm not sure i can stick with it.) -
A few questions:
1) I'm noticing that the real numbers in game show the lieuts' resistance being modified when I put damage enhancers in them; I remember just after they came out that their damage was limited because of the two aspects being affected by the same enhancements, but I thought they fixed this. Is it still the case that they are linked? As in, if I slot damage enhancements it will boost their resistance, or their damage will be limited as if I were slotting with resistance enhancers?
2) What is the best way to slot the lieuts if you don't need set bonuses out of them? They seem to need so many things, and I'm trying to use them to mule the Steadfast and Gladiator uniques. I think I tried 3 Nucleos, a Golgi, and those two uniques in mids...
3) Which pet is the best to take the Soulbound proc? I'm obviously not going to have room for it in the lieuts, but between the minions and the boss?
