To add another opinion on the forums being laggy, I had no issues with it when I was experiencing my map/crash problems...lucky I guess?

If I do experience additional problems though, I will post it but so far so good and I've played the same SS/Fire brute as well as two redside toons for a bit and no problems.
On the bad side, a friend has now begun to have the issue as well even though he was fine up to this point.
No rhyme, no reason that I can see in this! -
Played my SS/Fire brute for 3 hours hoping to collect some data to help with this map/crashing thing and much to my pleasant surprise, I did not map/crash not one single time and I tried everything...
Used mish teleport power, PD VIP pass, ouro, tram, base teleporters...everything! Ran 2 DFBs on my new brute (the TW/dark mentioned in my last post) as well as a manti on my SS/Fire and not one single map/crash.
Will play again tomorrow and report back! -

To add information that Texas Justice was mentioning in his last post above, I've been playing mostly on my SS/Fire Brute (Magic Origin if that could matter at all?) but I also had played another toon which I had *just* made yesterday which is a TW/Dark Brute also of Magic Origin -- both of these toons are of the Hero Alignment, the first brute having started in Praetoria as a hero and the new brute started off in the GC turorial as a hero.
The one thing that I thought initially before it happened more than 3x was that it *all* started after I took the SS/Fire Brute to the echo of Galaxy City for badges and plaques...had no zoning issues so I then went to do the mission that allows you to save the mystic and get the badge needed for the Atlas Medallion accolade and instead of using the crystal to hit the contact I used the ouro portal to Atlas so I could hit my base first...that was the very first crash when I ouro'd to Atlas.
After that is was all pretty much downhill, I map'd coming out of the mystic mish then logged back in and used ouro to go back to Atlas and map'd again...other than that I honestly could not remember everywhere else I went...however, if the DEVS really want it, I can pull the chat logs which would show all the zoning and blips for times logging in and out since I record all my chat stuff but I'm not sure I'm up to filtering through it all! -

IMO, if the person who is only +1 has the ability to follow directions and is a good player in general it really shouldn't be a problem to have them on the team. If you are familiar with someone to know that their skill level is there it should not be an issue to take on a +1 but seeing as how you were gone for a while, perhaps they weren't aware of just how competent you are lol.
I think the only reason certain folks are looking for +3s only is because so many people do not listen to directions or simply do whatever the hell they want and if they aren't +3 when doing so, they can cause issue for the balance of the team but I think you knew that already
Oh...and yeah, what they said above about badge runs, obviously much easier if the team is optimal for success... -
Healzors, please see this post (http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=280185) -- I think it would be more helpful if all of the people experiencing this issue posted in the same thread and posted information that may be helpful for our DEV team to look into the issue and hopefully get a fix in ASAP

Alrighty, well I crashed/mapserv'd/whatever you would call it...
I ran 4 mishes as well as SSA 4 and zoned in/out no issue other than the loading screen "blip" out and comes back again when the progress bar hits that 5% mark as someone else mentioned.
After that I went to the black screen of death and yet again had to ctrl+alt+dlt in order to close CoH and even see my desktop. Using the windows button does not work when this happens, only ctrl+alt+dlt.
Sometimes I don't get the black screen of death and it simply freezes on the loading screen showing circa 5% progress and I still can't use the windows button when that happens, need to ctrl+alt+dlt but at that point I can close out the task manager and right click on the game to close it out.
Either way it is still happening
EDIT: Went to log in and as other have said, it tells me the account is already logged in then says it cannot connect so when I finally do connect I zone into my base to take portal to RWZ and crash again so I give up for the night...GL to my fellow crashers! -
Kindrad, can I haz some of your memory?
Well, turned down the graphics as TX said and I've run about 4 mishes so far...zoning is okay atm but it wasn't consistently crashing on every zone yesterday or earlier today so we'll see!
I will post and let everyone know...and btw, I don't like the new graphics setting lol -

Going to try to play again and turn down the settings as you stated hoping there is no further issue but not without protesting that I even have to turn them down lol -

I use Norton and CoH is on its friendly list -- hubby thinks it is a memory leak issue but I have no idea!
(also I have used the repair thingamabobber on the installer and it hasn't helped) -

The mapserving is upsetting lol -- I'm sure they will work on resolving it but it will totally crush my game play on a weekend, the only thing I can do is hunt atm since everything else eventually causes a crash. At one point last night I was able to run 3 mishes with no issue but then on the completion of the 4th I crashed and just logged for the night! -

I was perfectly fine yesterday and today crashed about 6 times -- when loading into mishes, zoning out of Ouro and even once while using train to Croa...
Windows updated a good amount today but the crashes had started prior to those updates!
(They were MapServs like you stated and I do not have AMD so it shouldn't be a driver issue like others I know) -
Hello Nicoliy, SGs are a wonderful part of having regular teaming and that could certainly be an option, but so are global chat channels. I am not a mod (that I recall) in any of the more active ones but there are several or even all of them that call out for people to join task forces, teams, etc. on a regular basis and that would solve your teaming problem.
From the various people you meet in the chat channels you may also find yourself a suitable SG. Some of the chat channels are private and you are not able to join them without an invite but as peeps get around to reading this post, they will most likely send invites for chat channels -- you could also mention it in the "help" channel which is global and perhaps they will see that and shoot out an invite for you.
Of the chat channels I am involved with, Champions United and DarkGuard Network (DGN) are the most active but there is also Champion BMT (of which I do not belong) that I believe is also very active.
Keep in mind that the Champion boards are pretty slow as of late but your post will not go entirely unnoticed -- also, teaming on a holiday weekend when so many are traveling could have contributed to the issue of teams this past weekend.
One last tip, when you can't find one you can always organize one! Often times when my sg isn't around or everyone is half afk for personal reasons, I will put together my own teams using the search feature, sending tells before sending invites and making sure to let the people you are sending tells to know what you are doing as a team. My tells are usually something like "Lvl 30ish hero tip team lf2m, are you interested in teaming?", I am pleasantly surprised at how many people jump at the chance for teammage but don't want to form the teams =] -
I think the only thing that I would like to do is to get as many accolades on all of my Champion 50s as I am able to stand...
...but there are a lot of them and I enjoy the process of leveling so I am not going to hold my breath on that one!
