  1. This sounds too fun, I prefer raiding Laundromats in Praetoria.

I agree that we need a Heavy Weapons set.

According to the notes, that won't be the case:

Visit Empyrean Michael to unlock the new trees, then craft your new powers with the appropriate Incarnate salvage!

Not going to happen, Panz... just make a power armor costume and take Energy Blast!

One part I hadn't read yet was that the two new Trials have repeatable Emp rewards. You get two the first time, but during the 20 hour cooldown you still get one Emp out of them.

Obviously I have no idea how long these two new ones are, but I predict people grinding them just as hard as BAF and Lambda now, especially since the new Incarnate powers are 15 Emps each (Not sure if this is a toon or account unlock... for 15 Emps I'd hope account).
  6. I knew they were going to nerf Keyes... thanks, whiners!

    EDIT:

Wow, and I totally missed this:

As far as the bad stuff, BAF and Lambda will no longer award Empyrean Merits once you've unlocked the Lore and Destiny slots, respectively.
    That sucks.
  7. Team Mental finished Noble Savage, Katie Douglas, and Blind Makwa before I called it a night.

This is the first time I'm seeing the First Ward content on a decent-sized team, and damn, spawn size and patrol sizes are huge!

Good thing we have plenty of Beams to take care of business.

    That's a reasonable explanation.

I thought zombie Sophia was going to jump out of the woods and start tearing apart the deer, until Shane or Rick put her down.

Thanks, I forgot about that. I agree that it was a dick move on Dale's part. In a world gone mad, people should have the choice of whether or not they want to self checkout. He probably thought that she was still grieving for her sister and so wasn't in her right mine, but it was her call.

It makes the scene of him dropping the screwdriver down to her even more meaningful. He "saved" her so she gets to get eaten in an RV bathroom... what a mess. Speaking of messes, how does she not get infected with all that blood over her? I can't believe she didn't have *any* broken skin for a pathogen to get in through, and what about her eyes and mouth? I guess unless you get bit good you don't zombify pre-mortem.

At this point, the thread should be considered spoiler-full, even thought I can't change the title.

    REDUNDANT SPOILER ALERT:

So, since I doubt we'll find Sophia in a non-dead or zombified state, they essentially wiped out both kids in the premiere! Yes, I know Carl will make it (for some amount of time, anyway), but still... DAMN.

Great opener though, and the helicopters in the "upcoming scenes" make me thing some kind of civilization survived somewhere in North America.

Also, can someone refresh my memory, how did Dale "take away" Andrea's decision? Was she going to stay in the CDC and he said he wouldn't leave without her or something? My memory is fuzzy on that. I do disagree with keeping her gun from her. As long as she's not a threat to the group, she entitled to a weapon (especially her OWN damn gun!) In fact, I was wondering why everyone wasn't armed as they scavenged the traffic pile-up. Except in the case of a huge zombie herd, it would have be much safer.

The main character is a good guy. And the Deputy isn't a racist or married. In fact, I count only three racists and/or wife beaters in the main group.

No post on this yet? Really?

The Season Two Premiere is TONIGHT!

Let's revisit the mystery of what the CDC guy whispered to Rick! I thought it was news of a pregnancy, but I might be wrong. It might be something more spoilery about the nature of TWD's zombieism.

Who else is excited for the new season?
  16. I like the First Ward content, wordiness and all, but I'm not too fund of the through-line of the story... not to be spoilery, but if feels like you're changing sides every two seconds, and sometimes you're taking missions from someone YOU KNOW you can't trust. All the "choices" in the arcs feel like non-choices.

Other than that, I really enjoyed First Ward. Great looking zone, like the back story, great new enemies... a metric butt-ton of missions. They just need to punch up the plot a little... maybe give us a parallel track?

It's not removing free will. It's removing a propensity to do bad things. People could still do evil, but they would be doing so in a... more "rational" way?

Drive is almost nothing like Transporter. It's not an action movie at all.

    Real Steel was good.

Now that I think of it, most Gun Fu characters from John Woo films and elsewhere (Equilibrium, The Matrix, etc.) actually do have Time Manipulation as a secondary.

You would think Straczynski could come up with a better device for his own damn creation. He never even gave Westley his own show like he promised, instead paired him up in that vampire show when he got older, fighting the Shadows on that trading post out in deep space.
To write something like this requires a high level of Nerd Lore. Methinks Voo doth protest too much.

Well, with Street Justice, Titan Weapons, and Staff Melee, you'll be getting a lot of love in the next few months.

I'm waiting on some love for 'trollers/Doms/MMs. Yes, I know we got Electrical Control a year ago, but still... not hearing anything about new Control or Pet sets.
