  4. Well, to be fair, it is working as it's intended...just not how you want it to work. If a power is def only or another power boostable attribute it will effect it, but if a power has +resists it won't be power boosted. That's just the way they designed it.
  5. Power Boost doesn't increase cold shields because they also have +resists (cold) in them as well and PB doesn't effect resist powers, so therefore you won't see an increase to anything in the power. Same with arctic fog.
  6. Sure fast run speed can be a pain on some cave maps (I find Council bases especially annoying) But its +RECOVERY!

    +RECOVERY!!!!

    I get over any annoyance I have just for that fact.

    Pardon me, and I sincerely don't mean to sound snarky. But a controller does not in any way need tough/weave for survival. It is a neat trick to help softcap a farmer for S/L etc etc, but by no means required/needed by your standard controller. This idea that a controller needs any protection other than their own mezzes and debuffs is quite frankly not looking at the AT for what it does best. Epic shields are just nice little bonuses, but look how long your career is to that point and you did (hopefully) just fine without them. I would never-ever recommend to anyone they forego any primary or secondary power for the sake of punch or kick/tough/weave. (farm builds excluded) My first controller 50 (earth/rad) has zero shield protection and doesn't die anymore than any other toon. I can almost (almost) see the argument for a solo toon but you say you team and I can't for the life of me see how a teamed controller needs that little extra protection, sorry.

    To the OP- your mezz protection as a controller is to mezz them before they get to you. Solo requires certain tactics that you likely won't need on a team, especially on one with someone that can soak the alpha.

  11. The -defense is a HUGE plus for quicksand. But to look at it in other aspects, one (QS) is an area or cast where you want it and the other (SS) is a toggle or who you want it effect. The end usage of the toggle as well as the fact your anchor can run off (slowly) and draw more aggro. My personal preference is EQ, I think it gives you more "control" over the situation (round the corner casting, location debuff and defense debuff).

  14. You won't regret fire/storm; it's a great combo......be ready to be sucking wind on the endurance though. Try and get as many +recovery and +end bonuses you can.

  16. With an all controller team, unless you are up against a big nasty AV alpha is pretty irrelevent as long as the team is in pretty good sync.
  17. I host/run semi regular All Controller TFs on Guardian. Not only are all controller teams viable..........they are CoH on easy mode, but tons of fun.

    Well, lets see here. I have a 50 rad/storm def; a 50 fire/storm contr and a 38 ele/storm corruptor. Yeah, I have much love for some storm, and I wouldn't rule out an ele/storm controller either.

    Mark me down as another ranged earth/rad. My earth/TA is also a ranged toon. But my earth/earth dom.....melee all the way........get me in the middle of the ruckus! Fun stuff.
