Well that will be 4 or 5 seasons (at least) from now. My guess is they will end the show with the books which I believe is slated to be 7 books and from the sound of it, some of the later books will likely be more than one season. So I don't really see that (breaking too far or going past the books) happening.

Quote:It didn't detract from the episode at all.Friends of mine broke down and got HBO.go and have already seen episode 7. Without telling me what happens, they have told me that, yes, it is as unbelievably awesome as HBO has hyped it to be. One friend of mine watch it 4 times in 2 days. He also said he'd stack up this one episode against anything else HBO has ever produced (and that's really saying something, as HBO has done some remarkable shows with some outstanding single episodes).
I'm resisting the urge, because I hate the thought of watching such a beautifully made series on a small screen. I'm looking forward to Sunday night.
And fyi to anyone on the service, comcast/xfinity users have access to the episode as well. I was about to download HBO.go myself until I realized we already had access. -
I'm getting my "Gather for buffs" macro's ready!

I've said this in other threads, but I really like Jason Ritter as a lead. I hope we get to see him in something else soon. He has an everyman's charm like his dad.

I stuck with it as well. It's a shame it wasn't given more time to tell the story. I enjoyed it.

I really am liking the single instance style of the new trials (and old: eden and sewer). It would be nice to see the same mechanics throughout the range of levels. I do still enjoy TFs but more trials (outside of the Incarnates) would be nice.

We don't have guilds, we have super/villain groups.
We don't have realms, we have servers or shards.
We don't have "healers", we have so much more.
We don't have to rely on the holy trinity, in fact we laugh at it.
We don't have skills, we have powers.
We don't have quests, we have missions.
We don't have dungeons, we have maps.
We don't have adds, we have ambushes.
This isn't another game, this is City of Heroes/Villains/Going Rogue.

Actually there was an old set of wallpapers and that character (well the .jpeg at least) was titled "Goldie".

I couldn't resist the temptation and watched it. Now I'm even further behind in the book, but it was sooooooooooooooooooooooo worth it. The next episode is great, especially the last 15 seconds. Hands down the best show on TV right now. I smell a lot of emmy's coming from Game of Thrones. HBO rarely disappoints.

A storm controller doesn't typically run hurricane 24/7. Especially a fire/storm. You may turn it on to herdicane or to protect other squishies during an ambush; but you won't have it on all the time.
A typical spawn will go something like this:
Open with flashfire/freezing rain (which goes first depends on circumstances), cages, run in and thunderclap (if needed to finish disorienting any bosses or minions or lieuts missed previously), jump up and cast a lightning storm, meanwhile your imps and hotfeet are making enemies pretty dead, Epic Aoe to add insult to injury. Char and ST attacks to help finish off any stubborn baddies. Rinse. Repeat. Reward. -

It was my first thought except the Doctor was appauled (with the head factory worker) when he realized that the Flesh were actual people and not just synthetic. "He had a heart!" I'm not so sure he'd ask one to die in his place. Unless of course it turns out in part two that for whatever timey whimey reason they aren't so "real". -
Grocery store and not rapturing.

Just a little fire/storm advice. I'd go heavily for +end and +recovery. Now I realize that you didn't take hot feet, but there is still a lot of end hungry powers in there.
