The amusing thing is that every time I come up with the casual gamers interpritation, I get a reply from the stat police. Have you considered that people just want to enjoy the game, whatever their gamer style, which is precisely the point I'm trying to make about balance.
[/ QUOTE ]
You cannot relate game style to balance if you are a casual person with a very much PvE build fighting someone that is experienced and has made a build more suited for PvP.
There is nothing stopping you enjoying PvP but you have to accept that there will be people that are better and will beat you. Crying about that and because you think villains are overpowered really is a joke (I find it more funny then auto hit holds).
I know plenty of people with causal builds that are able to enjoy a spot of pvp. I think and don't take it personally you may have to evaluate your mind set and flawed perspective.
One last thing I would never think pvp is fair, fun yes but fair no. -
Hmmmm I think I am going soft not putting my supergroup first but I would check out the gang. Give @pious a shout, its a mastermind supergroup which dabbles in a bit of RP as well (I believe).
I am not sure if they take other master minds other than thugs but I am sure he would let you know. -
Nah used to hear it all the time when the villains for once all team up and work together instead of fighting alone and being picked off. Its amazing how this makes them overpowered because they weren't dying - unfortunately I lost all my amusing chat logs when computer got formatted but had some great comody gold in there.
-
Hehe I do chuckle when hear comments like this. However, I know when some of my lot fighting in warburg we get complimented in how well manage to work together (although also get dissed with terms such as ganking). You can get a very nice villain mix making it very hard to break down if the opposing side not got a good balance or not teaming well together (which I guess would be the villains over powered and need nerfing bit
).

Here's hoping for a RV population increase due to double xp; only thing better than killing hypocritical moaning farmers, is killing them when their rewards are greater
[/ QUOTE ]
Well said
[/ QUOTE ]
Hmmmm could be fun. If I find there is a lot of hero farming I am sure some nasty villains may come to ruin there fun. Anyone know of such villains, mwh ha ha.
On topic I feel that on union the zones are fairly populated (I know Warburg is my new home). Maybe the double xp weekend a good chance to get a toon to a reasonable level so can enjoy that nice bit of pvp every now and again.
As said I think one of the reasons why zones are quieter then before is people mishing to get them inventions they need. -

and depending on numbers maybe trying to get someone foolish enough to raid us.

Didn't we decide on June 10th Max? And we are quite formidable actually.

I am sure you are - I don't think I will enjoy attacking your base with so many MM's. I think the people with only the best computers stand a chance from the biggest kill which will be lag. Anyway will probably just be a bit of fun as I want to try and get as many people in EVIL experienced with what is done and expected in a base raid.
Well it is Friday so I have to decide what toon to play first. I wonder if the weekend will see less pvp? -
Was getting worried as I read that as him being in Council
.
Also any idea why Nirvana folded? They seemed to be going well (at least in prestige charts). -
Aye, can't wait for weekend to see whose on and about. It be an interesting rosta as I know when I got my computer issue several people were approaching the 15 day limit and had a large influx of ex evil suddenly make an appearance.
I feel will be having to make amendments just so can accomodate all the people wanting in on main sg.
Hopefully game won't be too laggy due to everyone being on union. I remember events like this (double xp) made some of the supergroups uber competitive to take advantage of the potentially extra inf/prestige. Looks like we have to try and keep up with the dirty hand prints as they flying of late (starts preparing the uber whip of doom). I keep wondering how all the other supergroups are doing and how they manage the fine balance between inf and prestige.
Oh and best acknowledge that most the talk of prestige whipping is tongue in cheek from old competitive days. Most people would notice we got lazy and many from our supergroup are saving for IO's (damn them all).
-
Mwh ha ha, computer sorted so be back to whipping you lot
.
We gonna have to get some plans sorted for the double xp weekend. I know quite a few of us we be playing on our superteam characters.
I think we should get at least 1 strikeforce/taskforce done. I am thinking maybe running through a respec trial, an RSF and depending on numbers maybe trying to get someone foolish enough to raid us. -
Well hopefully I be sorted by then - I don't think I have all my computer parts but should be able to assemble something that works so do not miss out.
-
Damn straight
.
I am just hoping I dont miss it due to a computer issue. You have to shout amongst yourselves and get some Super Team action going whilst not on.
I think its a perfect chance for those to start a new one and get to a very reasonable level. To think if you are fairly hardcore you could start a new one on friday and have a 50 at the end of it (double xp). The yanks will be doing this next time they have a double xp session and from my experience is very possible. I believe I hit 30 ish within 35 hours without any double xp. -
Hey guys and gals, got some computer issues meaning not going to be on for a few days. I am sure you cope without me but thought best give a heads up. Was upgrading some parts of computer but motherboard giving me some problems.
Well enjoy this time without me whipping ya all.

Some good comments there. It is not right people have to suffer such abuse and it would defintely provoke a response from many people. Personally I take it on the chin (shouldn't be that way) and the deterant would be if I see them they could expect to be killed. Not much of a deterant but atleast I would get some satisfaction from it.
-
I am sure there are still quite a number of reasons. One which has not been mentioned is the satisfaction gained from it (doing well). I remember when my supergroup was just like 100's out there. However, for what ever reason we started to do well and the feel good factor was great. Everyone was working to the same goal to make the supergroup as good as possible and it really made the game enjoyable. Getting a few people with a like minded view/goal and forming a supergroup can be fantastic.
I think the problem most people encounter is they don't expect it to be as hard as it can be. You really do need to put the time in if you are to have a good chance of achieving what you want. I think people need to ask themselves this question before they set up a new supergroup especially like mentioned there are 100's of existing supergroups out there.
I think most of the time the reason for setting up a supergroup is personal. Reasons can vary between making one to house a small group of friends, themed group or created because you fancy a challenge to make it into the big time. -
Might want to put your toon name or global so can give you a shout.
-
RSF done again so well done guys and gals. Once again I am lumbered with the rubbish recipe, damn you devs (waves angry hand).
Have to say getting the nuke was the best part for me which 3 of us did that afternoon. Some heroes tried to steal them. Was walking out to escape the web when could see there approach. Hoped they were coming in peace but the sound of build up told me differently. Luckily had alerted Quarks Masses and Zaldor who hurried to my location and thus the battle commenced. The first battle was a 3 on 3 which we won (and nicked there code with transfusion saving me from brink of death) and the next one was a 3 vs 5 situation but managed to hold out. Was good fun and showed that our teamwork and pvp skills are not to shabby.
-
Maybe better in the player questions section. I am also looking at teamspeak options so would be fairly interested in any answers myself.
-
Well a few of the ex players that came back still have there old fire/rads so are now and again having little sessions again. The core who played up to now are all around lv 32 ish but if anyone wants to join us and our channel superteam you are more then welcome to. It be good to get more regular sessions again so hopefully by posting here again (letting people know we still about) some will say I fancy trying that and will get to experience the joys of 8 x AMs

Feed me Hamidon Origins and rare recipes pls
[/ QUOTE ]
Well poor ol Max Khaos got them damn Hami O's in the way of some lovely rare recipes. At some stage going to have to re-respec him so don't waste them.
-
Hmmmmm I still get auto responses. Its nothing silly like their responses are going into your junk mail box?
-
There are some German players about but they do speak English and as far as I am aware do not belong to just one supergroup.
-
Afraid I haven't seen or heard of any German supergroups on Union villains.

I used to love my Earth set and salt crystals. Always a handy panic button when the **** hits the fan.

Shame you OV weren't about last night, was tearing up Warburg again. I think people are getting sick of seeing us now but still managing to have some fun.
So what else has been happening in EVIL? For one the base has been modified once more (didn't go to bed till 5 am last night as couldn't bear to leave it in the state I had created). So as you would expect even more guns.
Also managed to complete the RSF as a supergroup (I know we not tried to for awhile) which was nice.
With I9 and all the changes it has brought means got a lot on my plate. In the process of creating some guides etc to make it easier to understand all this invention business. Also have a few ideas I want to implement which I will announce at the relevant time which should benefit the supergroup as a whole. -
[ QUOTE ]
That's a shame, it would be cool if by having one in your base it opened up a special Super Group task force or something, or even if you could use it as a transporter but don't require beacons like with the normal ones.
[/ QUOTE ]
Im sure they be outrage if could only get access to a special task force for being with the game that long.
Looks very nice, sadly have ages to wait until we get one in our base. I have the spot already picked out though.
