gratz. doms are a bit of an "expert" AT so you done well there :O)

I'm not sure taking someones toys away will stop them griefing. If there that determined they will find some other way to annoy you. Best bet is to just petition it.

Easiest level for me. I hate running back from the hospital all the time.

People sometimes get annoyed at duels in pvp zones and leap in to break them up. Seeing as this guy was idling in his base other than just tping people away it might be griefing. I dont know what he broadcast to say he was just there to annoy people but that could be baiting. If he had at least stuck around to duke it out a bit then I would think it was ok.

If he was in his base just take the duel somewhere else out of range. Droning is valid for shifting base campers or the occaisional mouthy player. For some reason people see red after they get droned, even when they have 3 or 4 times as many players pushed up on the opponents base. (Not saying thats what happened here). Mob tping is valid if you attempt to finish the player off. Its griefing if you simply let them get debt, especially if its done constantly. Its hard to claim "I tried to get the killing blow" after mob tping 10 times in a row and only using webgrenades and holds. This is all my opinion of course, if in doubt send a petition and let the GMs sort it out.

Something like a stalker or scrapper I could see taking most players out in 20 seconds. My dom though, prolly not, might work with my /fire dom or against a squishy but certainly not against every player. Besides, I cant remember the last time I seen someone held for 20 seconds. Stalkers do work well alone, but they still have plenty reasons to team. Buffs for a bit more scrappability, and GI to max out your hiddeness.

Seen this suggestion on the US dom board. Looks nice

True, but a 30 second hold, with a 1 second margin to get away followed by another 30 second hold is close enough.

If they have a team-mate, 30 seconds is MORE than enough to get any AT killed, if it lands.

I'm pretty sure the suppression period is longer than 1 second, I've seen players get a good bit away or simply turn round and kill me during that time. In the example you give, the player got beat by being outnumbered. If he had a partner nearby the fight would have been a lot more interesting.

Resistance to sleep is much lower (even with PToDs up). See table here. Confuse should be the same as hold/stun (except it doesn't aggro). If 2 Mind doms can easily break through an AV's (Mag 51) hold protection when PToDs are up, some people might be a bit upset...

The mob in question was listed as a "hero". Not sure but I was under the impression this was the same as an AV. I dont know if downgraded heroes are listed as elite bosses or whatever. Actually, my memory isnt clear enough to say if this was listed as a "hero" only that it was meant to be, it was one with mind and psi attacks. I cant say the hero was held all the time, they were held at least some of the time though and we didnt seem to take much damage. Its also worth pointing out that there were other people on the team doing damage.

Do the triangles stop confuse and sleep?
Might explain why we had so little trouble the other day, 4 instances of sleep and confuse, and then topping it up every few seconds.

Seen this demonstrated a few days back when another mind dom invited me to mission with a hero at the end. Was quite surprised how effective we were.

Blasters have no mezz protection though, I think its really a case of awareness against them. If you can spot them 1st you can 1 shot hold them, even if they break free you can use levitate to bounce them off the pavement all day. If they have a friend nearby you can also confuse the blaster and laugh when they shoot there teamate in the [censored]. In pvp I use domination all the time as long as heroes arent outnumbering villains by something silly.

None at all. I was just stating that there are badges needed for an accolade that require more then a two minute trip into the zone! Also if any non-pvpers go afk in the base just to get the badge it kinda messes up the bounty system, but that's a different topic really.

Yep, I dont think the blaster done anything wrong. I can see the point of this strategy if your seriously outnumbered but I wouldnt use it as it seems pretty boring. If he came on his spiner bragging about "uber pwnzooring" your dom though well he sounds like a muppet for that. Similarly I had a lovely discussion last night for droning a spine scrapper pushed right up next to the villain base. Apparently I'm a "looser" and "lame", despite the fact we were outnumbered 13 to 4 and this guy was in danger of droning himself anyway (one little hop and he would have been right over the railing and stood next to the flyer).

Sorry, I meant to say I didnt feel powerful in PVP until the late 30's. In PVE my doms have always felt powerful except against AVs.

Dominators are tough to pvp with and there are some nasty game breaking powers hero side that will make you swear. It isnt impossible though and my own mind/psi is approaching the 200 rep badge.
You will also earn any kills a lot more than some leet speaking FOTM, and theres nothing in the game compares to hitting domination, exploding and locking down an entire hero gank squad. One important thing is that I didnt start to feel that great until the late 30's so dont get too turned off if things are still rough at lvl 30 or whatever.

Had one today in BB. Playing my blaster and I run into a lowbie stalker hanging about near a firebase. Seeing as he's low I decide to have some gentle fun. So I stand in sight with the boombox going and my back to him (camera turned so i can still see him). He comes up closer and i say in local "oh, I hope a stalker doesnt get me with any of those sneaky attacks while I'm dancing here". He doesnt take the hint I can see him and comes into range anyway, I whip out webnade and caltrops and bring him to low health. Without killing him (he was glowing and i didnt want to make him get the shivan shards again) I offer to help. His dominator mate turns up and after a getting a few turrets down together the dom attacks and kills me. Oh well, its a pvp zone, I come back thinking he will prolly be ok now seeing as his mate is getting the shivans and needs all the help he can get. Nope, he attacks again and again, plus insults and begging for mercy when it goes pear shaped. I felt sorry for the stalker though, this wasnt helping him any so I switched to my dom, to bad he abandoned the firebase by then though.
