The slur most often used down here for whites would be the N word replaced with a W.

there is a separation here between the ones that used this forum mainly to talk about COH vs those that treated it as a Nerd community.

The ones that used this forum for years mainly as a means to get/give info concerning COX won't have noticed much of a dynamic shift.

Those of us that used this forum for years to discuss everything from COX to Pong have most certainly.

A fair chunk of the longtime posters are still shell shocked over the switch last fall, with rule enforcement still being confusing.

Basically, this went from being a very friendly and casual atmosphere for most of us to one where we had to constantly wonder if we're breaking the rules. In turn this led to an exodus of helpful posters and left us with the more... vocal among us.

I've watched closely over the past 6 months and marveled at how forum cartel members, posters with a multi year long record of being friendly and understanding have slowly mutated into forum pvpers and I blame the sour grapes feeling that still lingers.

The Q won't work for forming teams to do standard radio type missions though... Right?

It's just for TF's and Raids... Right?

I'm afraid my Eng/Eng would have to hang up his boss killer routine without TF.

Jack Emmert (Statesman) was really, really into Roman Mythology when he started designing this game. His handprint is very visible still, even though he left years ago. That's why it's so prevalent.

As for you question.
I'd like to see touches of Nordic, maybe Odin and Ragnarok.
Hints of King Arthur and his whole legend.
Legendary monsters (non combat badges i.e. Sally)
Spot Bigfoot wondering around the maze in Perez 3 times for a badge.
Maybe have the chupacabra running amok in Nerva...

I once heard about a guy that made a working remote control J5 but was sued over the rights. Still this lego one is pretty sweet.

Yeah, I toyed around a bit last night. Was worried that the sound of Kin would be grating but I actually enjoy it. The visual flare makes me think of a Kung-Fu Grandmaster. But I'm not sold on it for a Stalker concept.

I tried a few various concepts but the Kinetic set just screams 'show me off' so I'm now thinking of a few Scrapper concepts with the set in mind.

Which brings me to Electric/Ninjitsu. Rolled up a concept character that just seemed to mesh right off. Picked Nin because it seemed to offer the best array of tools, while not feeling like a scrapper secondary. Quickly got to level 4 for Ninja Run and off we go!


Still loving my Villainess Blaster, the SS+Stealth aspect and Blasts keep them different enough that I'll enjoy rolling both!

So here's the story, made short.

My main was an Energy/Energy Blaster. Mainly soloed. My tactics and playstyle continued to evolve over the course of his career until about level 35. It was then that I picked up SuperSpeed, even though I'm a flyer. Because it matched my concept. Well. When I used it in tandem with Stealth everything changed.

This guy went from struggling to get through missions, to being my ultimate boss killer. His concept allowed me to RP it as he would hurt as few as possible to reach his goal. So, needless to say his style was refined to such a degree that he became a stealth assasin.

Fast forward to GR. I rolled up my Praetorian clone Eng/Eng blaster to roll redside. He's currently at level 30 and automatically became a stealther.
Bringing back such fond memories...

I digress.

So while I was running past the black market I realized I'd basically turned my Blaster into a Stalker and it got me to wondering if I'd enjoy one of them as much.

So...

To the Stalker experts out there.
Which combo would you advise for a longtime Blaster, sometimes scrapper, that prefers to be a boss killer?

Any tactics or strategies I should be aware of? I've never used Placate before...

100% solo 1-50.


(as an aside; my usual goto tactic is to stealth to the boss. Then stand in his face and hit Aim+BU and then Bonesmash>TF> mop up with Burst. Then wipeout the minions with Torrent and blasts.)

I've said all I will about it really, in any thread.

Once I realized the only thing to actually do with the incarnate powers was to keep grinding the TF's, only a bit easier, I got all happy.

Turns out I'm not missing out on much afterall, since I don't like large raids, and large raids are the only place the incarnate slots will be working all the time...

It's a moot point for me.

I always heard the reason we can't have truly giant (think Godzilla) monsters, and why Rularuu isn't actually in game despite being created was because they caused problems with the targetting reticle.

Wouldn't it work if they just made the feet targetted, It'd be a normal size reticle but would still allow targetting of giant foes.

Better yet, make it like Lusca's tentacles and have a seperate box for the arms and head. Have to take the arms off before bringing it down or something...

I'm afraid that if you feel Energy blast is a substandard set and blasters are a substandard AT that no amount of money you throw at a build will change that...
