    You're not listening. If we're thinking outside the box, why don't we think about how this penalizes any set which isn't already head and shoulders above the rest in burst damage.

    An ice/EM blaster trying to assault a brute is going to have a bad day based on that formula? Someone can welcome him to the real world i guess, there's a reason he picked that combo.

    People play these because they offer good burst damage near and far. If sets with less burst damage result in the player getting trounced in seconds even more than they do now, people will make even more of these characters.

    Anyways it was just something for castle to consider, not so much anyone else.
  2. You're assuming that the scrapper crits, because i've gone on for a very long time fighting a brute while critting only 5 times. Anyways the suggestion would be to make sure that not all player damage is taken the same way, so that sets with lower burst damage aren't punished.

    If someone hits you with EM anything,max it out. If someone hits you with dark blast or something considered "gimp" lower it abit. If we didn't do this then people will start thinking " i'm gonna max out his fury anyways, might as well be doing good damage" and we'll see flavour of the game instead of flavour of the month.

    I don't think anyone wants to see anymore spines regen or ice/em blasters than we already do.

    Not all scrappers are spines regen imitation blasters. There's a reason the damage multiplier for brutes is so low, and it has something to do with EM,SM,SS etc.

    It's not really a good idea for changes to be made when they put non "optimal" powersets at even more of a disadvantage, such as claws or DM. Don't get me wrong ofcourse, i'd love to see a spines scrapper get what he deserves for tryng to take advantage of what he thought was a helpless opponent, it's just the encouragement to make even more of them would be the last thing this game needs.
  4. does this take into account the fact that not all brutes will be facing ultra burst damage?

    It'd be abit unfair for say, a claws scrapper fighting an invuln brute to get him to 50% fury in a couple of attack chains.

  7. So either way we need to sacrifice one thing we NEED in our build....

    I hope that's not the reasoning because it's not as if alot of ice tanks are fearing AS, neither are heroes who move and team.

    Odd. I don't know about anyone else, but I know that I didn't have these problems, whatsoever, until the Placate (toned down to stealth level -perception) and Dull Pain (no longer allowing a DPed Stalker to stay in Hidden while being attacked) changes came along.

    Neither did i. I used to be able to duel regens and end with placate buildup and AS...

    Could it be that we are not understanding one another? This bug certainly didn't exist before then, and as a spines player i feel my opinion should be credible since i'd already have to wait for DoT.

    Another thing about stalkers being #1, i'm sure they are #1 up until heroes decide to team up, like they will because of stalkers. Then things depend largely on who's playing, but heroes still have a big advantage assuming player skill is even in RV.

    Stalkers in RV?? Not number 1, but nowhere near underpowered. Placate bug? Doesn't gimp the AT, but any bugged power should be fixed whenever possible in my opinion.

    That's insane. A must have power for an AT is now competely useless for those of us who DON'T gank and run, and this is working as intended? Placate working properly isn't too powerful, on either side of the fence.
  12. I've been saying this for awhile, confirmed with spines also ofcourse, and no DoT explanation in sight.

    I've also read some posts about how breakfrees are supposed to nullify placate, but then a blaster posted here about how that didnt work for him. Then i thought about how people who post about breakfrees breaking placate usually play a set with disorients.

    The case is probably the enemy is disoriented but can target. In order to attack the enemy must eat a breakfree, causing the stalker to think that it was actually the breakfree making placate useless.

    Also, this bug did not exist before the placate change which took hide from 100% down to 75%. Now that people are down denying this maybe it can be fixed.
  13. So true. you've got to play on servers against gankers from both sides to realize that both sides have cowardly players, and therefore both sides are very close to equal.
  14. I killed this storm that was tping villains right beside their base to get ganked, somehow avoiding the drones.


    if you can manage to kill them once somehow, just go through the back door of the base and drone them. One hero got droned last night and had the nerve to say "You know that's illegal right?"

    Pfft. I can't believe some of them complain about stalkers.

    Hamidon 50's have a significant power advantage when compared to 50's only using SO's,and a substantial power advantage vs a level 40 villain. Why deny this? You don't need to crunch numbers to figure this out. If you actually play the game, you're going to see this, so why put things on paper as if attempting to contradict reality??

    I'm going to call "shenanigans" on the stalker not using ANY stealth powrs at all and getting 5 kills for every death. Massive kill stealing? Or an EM regen attacking solo defenders?

    Much respect if you can seriously do this, but understandably i'm abit skeptical.

    I'd have to say that getting hit by fire or ice from a hamidon 50 hurts quite abit.

    Assault rifle on the other hand is a joke ahha...now THAT'S a nerf.

    Yea i said that awhile ago.I also said i can't believe they're giving stalkers dark melee because it would cause a great deal of problems.The other major problem is a stalker with dark melee and ninja reflexes reducing accuracy with every hit....

    Picture a stalker ASing someone,using touch of fear,then doing it again....wow.Picture ninjas who are already impossible to hit reducing your accuracy everytime they hit you...wow.

    I was almost going to suggest that DM scrappers get a chance to reduce perception with their hits since it surrounds the opponent in darkness and reduces accuracy.That seems like a bad idea now..

    I'm predicting a million complaints,you heard it here first.
  25. A solution to the problem could be:Upping the lvl that pvp zones play at.

    That way everyone can afford to have the +perception powers...
