my question is :what happened to your marketing budget? this sounds like a cost cutting plan to me.

I am only driving up for sat, will be at the con, will be wearing a tee shirt proudly with our server name on it(and yes i will be wearing other clothes) should be arriving about noon. will there be a place to meet there?

well,I would say the only way to fix it is to remove it completely,yes you can put in some very strict restrictions to the usage of it, but a lot of people will just stop using it,and it will sit about 90% empty, I will admit that i only use it once or twice a month, and i take in one of my 50 lvls to farm enough tickets to purchase salvage.

yes you could remove the xp, you could remove the inf.even remove the tickets,so at that point what is left? why do any of the missons? i can do a itf and get most of the above,and get drops and progress for badges.So why do a MA misson? or even do a radio misson and get more.

But if the MA is "fixed" to the point of 80% of the players don't use it ,why have it? Look at all the other things that were turned off or "fixed" into non-use.

Base raids? IOP? COP? PVP?,and yes I know a lot of people PVP,but how many of those are just doing it to get the expensive drops.

Or the way merits are awarded? i can do a itf for 26 merits,or do a 5-10 misson arc and get maybe 5-15 merits,which is the better use of my time?

instead of spending so much effort on something that may not be fixable, delete it and forget it.

well on test i went to lvl 25 ,lvl 10 on live, have a DS/Therm MM skipped the whips for the buffs,even so i have to have at least 2 end reducers in my heals and such til dos then can go down to 1 so at 22,but i play the quarterback type MM and buffer

very fun event, only one small complaint,wish that it happened after I17 went live, so could do it in ULTRA MODE

I was playing when COV (also a beta tester)came out and i also bought the two manuals that were avail then.
In the printed manual ,which i assume went to press long before COV was release, there was a statement printed in it that you got 2 extra slots if you had both COH and COV.

I "think" that due to the forum riots when ED was leaked by a beta tester,and the 1000+ postings on the matter,that the poor forum mod, had to not answer,and see all the hate and anger,yet had to say nothing ,as they were not expecting. they gave us 4 slots.

just a few days before there were hundreds of posts thank them for NOT raising the monthly fee,if you had both games.

I need to find a address to send flowers to,as the DEVS may have broken their hands patting us on the head. This was just a second class PR stunt,If the goal is "is it fun", the real question is "for who?" us or the DEVS? Seems like they are setting a shipdate, and even if it has problems, they push it and figure they will fix it with a later patch, glad that doctors don't do that much or the graveyards would be stacked 6 deep.

So, seeing how there are 2 zones for heroes,and only 1 zone for vills,does this mean there are possibly 2x the chars for heroes than vill?,that the empty zones redside, are not just one server,but more? and what will happen when GR hits, even more empty zones?

yes i really enjoyed the getting of the pvp zone badges without going to the zones
the only real problem from last year that i remember is as it was unannounced, a lot of people missed it and due to it only being a 1 day thing some people missed it as they only get on weekends

well after work about 4:30 pmest i tried to gt back to the char from preivious post,the char select screen had no model and invalids dec string and 3786 days off line, so i deleted the char, started a new one claws/wp scrapper, skipped the tutorial,went stragit toentering paragon city, then got kicked due to error of dbserver error,


so hope my extensive testing is helping :-)

well i went to test2 and created a char,claws/wp scrapper,got to the screen where it asked for starting point,i picked atlas, then the screen froze, and task manager showed it not responding. killed it and then came here to report,this was at about 6 am est wed april 21 2010,and the server was green when i selected it .

did not WoW just add some kind of cross server teaming? maybe that is what is being tested .

it was worse that they released on thurs,most of the company was at some gaming con,patting themselves on the back,while we were subjected to crashes every few hours or less, lag, a invasion of overseers,and a new respec that had +4 lvl mobs,when we really had gimped ,bad toons.

Maybe you should spend a few cents and write to the White House,and ask for a GR Stimulas Bill, to help the poor who can not afford it get access. I am sure they have a few dollars in all the Billions to spare.

just ordered a custom tee shirt for the M&G, I am driving up on Sat to spend the day.

while the emailing of items is good start,why not just add a common stash to the account? like they did with Diablo2? all this mailing can lead to lost items, frustrated users and hurt feelings.

Something i keep asking for is a 2X Merit weekend,Yes some of the TF would then have LARGE Merit bonus(Dr.Q),but as merits are not awarded in MA,it would get "real arc" players out and doing a LOT of TFs/SFs.
Right now my two main controllers (Earth/Emp,Plant/Therm) are sitting on 500 merits, and 500 mill Inf, both are "purpled out" and my 1 person SG is maxed out with TPs and other stuff and sitting on 250k prestiage. so for me a 2X weekend is not really that exciting, and as it comes out BEFORE either DP or DS, the slots i am saving for them when they go live,I will not be using them.

or maybe they could say double the percent chance to get a purple drop for the weekend also?

well while the new UM looks nice, i would holdoff til it came out before i bought one,be pretty bad if UM got cancelled

well if the market is broken, then there is only one thing to do , we should petition Pres Obama,and tell him we need some TARP money to stabilize the markets.

I don't PVP mostly due to the nerfing of my best toon by DR. and i personally don't think the risk vs reward is worth it. can't think of the last time i was in a PVP zone,and for the record ,i have run pvp servers in the past both tribes and team fortress.

ok one quesion not being asked, how GR work with eyeinfianity(or what ever it is called) and the nvidia version? might be nice to use 3 monitors.hope they are at least testing it.

was a fun event, got to relive the taste of asphalt many times, and work a lot on debt badge. help keep me humble.

I wonder if this was some kind of server/network test?
