Y'know what would be a fun challenge? For Arbiter Fabulous and Crime of Fasion to try a design swap. Each one designing a new outfit for the other.
[/ QUOTE ]
Cool idea, but considering what just happened to equation it may be a while away.
[/ QUOTE ]Yeah, get safe first, THEN hav fashion fun-times -
They can even re-use that glowy animation that plays when folks click on the datastream.

As I said on the KJSR.net site, I tried something different with the show on 4-10. In addition to the usual music mix, I reviewed one of the many Player created arcs that are now available thanks to I14. Depending on the response, I plan on doing reviews like that every week.
However, to keep it fair, I plan on having the listeners select the arcs that I will review, so if you have an arc you want to hear talked about on my show, or know of an arc that you think could use some more publicity, go ahead and mention it here, along with the creator's Global and the Arc ID so I can find it for the show.
-----
As far as the April 10 show, the arc reviewed was Acid_Zero's "Welcome to Architect Entertainment", a Dev Choice arc. The arc story is clever, with an ending open enough for a potential sequal. There are several clever references to the meta-game, and a coherent plotline. The Custom critters are clever, and it's note worthy that it's one of the few arcs I've seen that actually acknowledge the Virtual Reality nature of the MA.
However, be prepared for a difficult fight. The combinations of powers, both debuffs and End drain, were able to pick aparn my tank on more than one occasion during the run. -

With the Mission Architect going live today, many of the player made arcs will be moving over from Test server. Many will not, some have been deleted, and even those that do make the transition will likely have a differend ID number than their test versions.
Thus we are starting the thread fresh for the Live version of Mission Architect. If you have an arc that you have published, let us know here (along with the ID, so we can find it easier) so everyone can see it!

And as for Costume Contests under Atlas, they got more than a plaque in Issue 11 when Twilight's Son made them a part of canon in his TF.
[/ QUOTE ]
... well, that was based on the comic(s) with the rest of the arc, honestly. Only Hickman can say if CCs had anything to do with it.
[/ QUOTE ]The actual event in the comics was in Steel Canyon though. -
Honestly, I think Tanker Tuesday and Repeat Offenders both deserve a plaque, as well as any organization or network that started in year one, and kept a constant presense the entire time. 60 months of dedication, not only to a game, but to a specific segment of the game is worth something. Repeat Offenders just needs to pick a place for their plaque.
I'm having a hard time thinking of any other event or support network that have been as instantly recognizable as these two, though admittedly I am pre-coffee at the moment. And as for Costume Contests under Atlas, they got more than a plaque in Issue 11 when Twilight's Son made them a part of canon in his TF. -
I had this typed up, but it ended up in another thread:
I'm not going to get into the discussion on whether or not this even needs looking at, there's plenty of back and forth as is, and I have no strong opinion one way or the other, however I think that even if this is put in /camp shouldn't be the command for it. That lends itself more to the wilderness of other games, than the Urban nature of this one. /Timecard, maybe? -

Heck, with new Hami, do you even really need Phase shift?

Hydra. Not Hamidon.
[/ QUOTE ]Whoops. Forgot about that badge entirely, ne'mind. -
Heck, with new Hami, do you even really need Phase shift? I haven't ventured into the Hive for a while, but I thought the Hamidon didn't spawn until it was prompted to?
-
Someone actually did that a couple years ago. Starred Ascendant, if I remember right.

I really don't think I would be able to survive the level of stress some folks bring into their entertainment.
I have several Masterminds and Controllers, including an Ill/Storm. This will not affect my playstyle in the slightest. I hit the button, the cloud appears, bad guys go flying. It works like this now, it will work like this after I14. If there is a reduction in effectiveness, it just means that that following attack I'm already hitting won't land on something that's already defeated.
As a matter of fact, though I've been here since the end of I3, there have only been two power reductions that I ever really payed attention to. ED and the GDN. Even then, I ran a quick respec, and carried on like I always did. -

On the other hand, I say that it is a case of "buyer beware." Since the system, in the lore, is created by a collabaration of Crey and Aeon, neither known for their upstanding citizenship, I think any Hero should approach the system with a healthy sense of caution. What you do may have moral consequences, whether or not you believe it to be little more than a game.
[/ QUOTE ]
A collaboration between Crey and Aeon? What could possibly go wrong?
However, you do raise an interesting point. There have long been hints that some day there would be some method for a hero to go bad (and vice-versa for villains). Could playing too many "evil" virtual reality video games lead to the "Dark Side"?
[/ QUOTE ]
Oh no. No no no no no.
The Mission Architect is NOT an arguement in favor of the 'Videogames cause children to be violent' debate. -
I'mglad I found this thread. I don't have a Rikti, but I do have a robot who is limited to a Mark 2 translator.

Edit: Sent question as PM.

Upon looking again, I do hope that's supposed to be a manequin that the 'new' outfit is on.
-
The Devs have said that they're not going to say how they pick players for Beta. They don't want folks trying to 'game' their way in. THere is a method, but we don't know what it is.

this???

It is, so don't spoil it.
This was originally up in the Protector boards, but it got purged, so it's being reposted here for posterity.
