But, how do you get the sentence structure down? I've read all the Rikti dialog in the game but still haven't got the hang of it. Help?

In the offchance you may be able to use this, mark 3 translators are vastly superior to old prototypes. No odd sentence structuring.

Of course, if you NEED the old translator...KHELL. GIT IN HERE NAO!

You mean there is an actual program that'll turn a sentence Rikti for you?

No, Bwerp means that (in-game wise) some Rikti NPCs have these 'Mark 3' translators that allow them to speak in full English, instead of the fractured English from the old Translators.

As for Character RP, it's just a way of skipping the 'Rikti-speak' if its too clunky to use/want a 'more advanced' Rikti/Just don't wanna go through the hassle of typing out all those :'s in Team chat >.>

it mainly works like normal sentences, subject then action, then a period. i've seen it be more complex but that's the basics.

Taco bell: cause of bad gas. proposal: discontinued visitation.

or like i said they can get MORE complex and add more comments to a subject.

Hugs: warm: loving: comforting.

Or if your character is a Rikti Spy, I suggest you run the Kelly Uqua arcs, first...

Redside: 35-39: Nerva.

It should help with some of the flavor.

Interesting case there, she still has a habit of throwing in :'s every once in a while. Not too obvious at first but it's a dead give-away to some. Guess her translator is only mark 2.5

With human form comes human thought structure. But Rikti have problems keeping to the script.

Anyway, in regards to the OP. Rikti speak varies pretty much from arc to arc, depending on who wrote it.

Neccessity: Rikti speech: Broken up. Everything else: Perogitive: Speaker, user. Remember: Legibility, understanding: Important: Above all.

Statesman said let there be heroes, and there were heroes.

Lord Recluse said let there be villains, and there were villains.

NCsoft said let there be nothing, and there was nothing.

Syntax: simplified.

Omitted: grammatical particles (most), auxiliary verbs (most), copula. No clauses: separate sentences instead.

Prominent: participles.

Subject: predicate.

Fronting (topic): permitted.

Practice: helpful. With practice: mastery. Easy: Rikti speech. Talk this way: natural.

Q: How do you wreck an Abrams?

A: You crash into another one.
