Just a reminder, there is no episode tonight due to recording schedule conflict. Tune in next week for an unprecedented eight reviews!
-
It's going to be during my show, but I'll be there.
-
Ah, glad to hear someone else saw it as well. The time I saw it, I know folks said they had heard the cat meow, but I missed anyone saying they actually saw it run past.
-
And just because I can't leave a bad situation alone when I could easily make it worse, the only time I actually 'channeled' TL was during the mission with Crimson. Everything else was just me.
-
My Dual Blades and Martial Arts Stalkers both get rooted when they Placate.

Wow, and when I typed it in, the first thing I thought it sounded like was a sneeze.

Quote:Only if that action is a complete and full retreat, maybe leaving a message saying "sorry about the intrusion, can we sit down and talk about it?"Exploring new dimensions isn't aggressive - it's not our fault if we get attacked there and have to take action
But let's turn your idea around a bit. Let's say there's an alien race that decides to explore our planet, without any aggression. Given our worlds extended paranoia, it's very likely that we will attack if there's the slightest difficulty in communication. At this point, according to your comment, they have every right now to mount a full invasion and remake our world government in their image, if not wipe out all remaining traces of civilization. -
Well, at least with the Freaks there's that holo-projector thing that can make it look like you've got the usual Freak 'attachments'. How in heck was the cop in my example going to act up having been through CoT 'recruitment' already?
-
Well, let's take a look:
Not sure about putting the 'war' and 'criminal' together, but I do remember that Cole was a soldier in WWI, and shortly afterward he became a master thief in Europe.
Quote:who led an unjustified and illegal invasion of a sovereign nation just a few years ago.
Has Portal Corp been open that long? If it has, then yes us going in to other dimensions without any form of non-interference certainly qualifies and "invading and interfering". It doesn't matter how things look on the surface folks can't just rush in and force a complete upheaval of a populaces way of life unless they ask for help. -
There's one I had recently that sort of works into this. The mission was to rescue a cop who tried to go under cover into a villain group, but got found out and is now in trouble. The Villain group he was trying to get into? Circle of Thorns. And he wondered why his disguise didn't work.

Quote:I can tell I'm going to have a hard time being able to tell Golden Girl and Emperor Cole apart. And not just because they go to the same tailor*generic 'you' not Golden Girl. See 'Yes Minister' for the background to irregular verbs like this.
True, that's an angle I hadn't thought about. -
Quote:Well, I feel it's better to err on the side of caution with these things, rather than have to apologize for giving away too much. Oh, and grats on the FAAA win!Wow. Thanks for the great review guys. You were more vague than I expected, but that's fine. I am super glad you liked it so much
Quote:I thought it was interesting that all 3 of you chose the "mean" ending; sounds like the timer really spurred you all into action though!
Just be careful, we have been hit with actual spam through that, asking us to review gfahkas; by a'skl;djfr 20 times in a row. -
I dunno, when I heard about that I figured it was their greatest dream realized. This is a world in which the 'Might for Right' act, or what ever Emperor Cole calls it, never got repealed. They're still under the rule of "if you have super powers, you belong to the government.

Turns out I'm going to have to call this off anyway. Getting ready to fly out is a lot busier this time than before. Good luck on your run Kyo, and I want to see that group shot when it's all over.

On tonight's show, we review:
Fears and Nightmares
The Eyes of the Beholder, Act 1
The Null Earth Saga: A Reflected Web
FAAA Nominee, The Most Important Thing
-----
Due to the majority of reviewers being at Hero-Con, there will not be a show next week, however, the week after that will be a larger than usual show, with a full reviews, and a discussion of all four Guest Author arcs. We still need new arcs to review, so please keep sending them in! -
If it wasn't for the afct that I have to be up at almsot 3 in the morning the next day I would push it back. Kyo, what time are you starting your run?
-
Either that, or we could merge the two teams, depending on how many show up. I don't have to lead this particular train, just be a part of it.
-
There's one thing I want to do before I head out to Cali this weekend, something I've never seen successfully completed.
Before I get into details, if you don't usually check out the City Life section of these boards, I want to direct you to this thread. Don't read the whole thing (it's a year and a half thread and still going strong) but give the first post a read over at least.
At some point in that thread, AE went live, and Sister Flame (with help from her dad) wrote out her own arc "Sibling Rivalry" in which you can fight along side the Fire Blaster heroine. It's become tradition after a successful run to post a picture of the character you ran the arc with standing beside Sister Flame in that thread, and so far everyone's run it solo.
My goal this Thursday is to be the first to post a team photo for this arc. This is going to be a little tricky because the NPC is...aggressive. It's a low level arc, so if you're interested, be aware that you won't have access to all your best toys, and there will be a tactics discussion before we start, since it will depend on who show's up.
I plan to start recruiting at the King's Row AE at around 6PM Eastern, and it's not a very difficult arc, so we should be finished before 9PM. Who's up for a little low level fun?
1) M I Abrams
2)
3)
4)
5)
6)
7)
8)
EDIT: OK, technically it's the eve of the eve, but it's the night before I fly out, so.... -
Everyone has a mission or two they save a Mission drop for. This one is mine.
-
-
Looks awesome, but is there a release date? All I saw was '2009' and there's not that much left of that, but still enough to miss a movie in theaters.
-
Tonight's episode we revew Culex's Being Devoured, PW's Papers and Paychecks, Dazz Marvelous' Invasion of the Baby Snatchers, and Zamuel's Rider's Ribs Restaurant Rescue.
Don't forget to send in those reviews! We're only up to two in the queue, so it's a good chance to get yours picked. -

Quote:The MA is 'deserted' the same way servers other than Freedom are 'ghost towns'. If it's not where 90% of the game population gathers, there's no one there. And I don't know where people are coming from with all the "deserted" talk.
Maybe compared to OMG EVERYBODY'S MA FARMIN it's deserted, but I see people in the main MA hubs and hear them putting teams together in chat.
And I missed the 'full to bursting' AE buildings, too. Before I16, I ran AE arcs in any zone other than Atlas or Cap au. -
There's a reason my current Peacebringer is Human only....
