Actually, I have a question on Burn's Immobilization protection. Does the protection extend past the life time of the actual Burn Patch? I know they made it so the Burn Patch can't be up all the time, but if we compare Burn to other click-based Status protection, is it possible to keep the protection up permanently? And even if it is, how viable is it to have the intended agro manager scattering the mob every thirty seconds, JUST to have that protection?

Quote:Probably what would happen before theye were automatically added to the lists. Back when we could just drop the mission to talk to Wincott, folks could drop the mission at the time, then if they changed their mind, go talk to him and he would hand out missions normally. If they no longer appear on their list, what happens if they decide they want to do those missions?
As someone who used to hate PvP back in i6 i7ish area to someone who loved it in i11 and i12, I might have been inclined to remove people from my contact list then. -
Actually, the first time I read this I was curious about one thing, and now's as good a time as any to ask: The 'bedtime story' that the Nation women discuss, is this an actual one you're pulling from, or something of your own invention?

Don't forget that we *are* working on getting past reviews up (slowly I'll admit, I've got to go through each episode to get the ratings/comments). It won't be as good as the full review, but it's something.

When we get the Archiver back up it will still be free, but you can buy a CD with either several standard shows from this season of AEntertainment Tonight, or just the reviews from season one.

I'd like to throw my name hhere among those that believe the absolute farthest this idea should go is an Ancilliary Pool, since it's where the melee ATs go now for ranged attacks.
That means there's only five powers in the pool, with only four accessible, and only two are even actual ranged attacks, probably Single Shot and Empty Clips from the Thugs power set. Mix in a couple powers from the Body and Weapon Mastery and you've got a Power Pool. Maybe, and that's depending on what the Scrapper/Tanker AT mod for debuff powers is, Surveilance. -
To make matters worse, at some point I got disconnected from the braodcaster, and didn't catch it. And since the Archiver is on the fritz again, PM me a valid e-mail addy and I'll get you MP3 files of the review you missed.
Also, the AT news has been moved to it's new thread here. -
You have a good point here. Basically, I'm looking for a comic book cover, staring M I and Momma Abrahms. Once I have the completed work, I'm going to take it to the photo shop, to get it professionally 'developed' I guess we still call it. I'm then sending it to the real Momma Abrahms for a birthday gift.

There have been several arcs I've reviewed where I've wanted to gather a team and make a second run when I was finished. This time, I'm actually going to get it done.
This Saturday, around 8:30 PM Eastern, I'm going to be in the King's Row AE building gathering forces for Turg Fiction IX. It's a 1-40 arc, but since I'm bringing the big guy, we'll be running it at 40.
I think it's a hell of an arc, and I can't wait to see the team's reaction to it.
EDIT: I should probably note that it took me about an hour and a half to beat it solo, and that was while I was taking notes for AEntertainment Tonight. -
Tune in tonight at seven for reviews on Jason and the Golden Fleece, the Ares Strike Force, End of the Line, and A Case of the Munchie.

I'm looking to commission a piece of art work based on my characters. However, this is going to be somewhat of an important piece to me, so rather than picking an artist mostly at random, I would like to see who the folks here would suggest as a good artist. I know a lot of folks here have had art made, and I trust you lot more than most folks.
Also, since we're on the subject; the piece I'm looking for is on a bit of a deadline. About how long does it usually take to have a piece done? -
Well, it seems that the Archives at KJSR are having trouble again. So, as before if you missed the show, send me your e-mail and I can send you the audio file. While I realize that there is a space in the submission, this is mainly an attempt to limit spam, and the submissions are not kept after the show's recording.
Alternatively, the station has a new swag shop, found here, where folks can buy several weeks worth of the full show at once. If neither of these options appeal to you, I am working on getting the past reviews section filled out. It will not be the full review, but at least the basics.
EDIT: By the way, we're still working on some of the code for the site, so I'll note here that Always Waiting, Task Force Mutternacht, The Alien Tyrant, and Turg Fiction IX are currently slated for next week's show. -
I'm just picturing how popular Posi and Doc Q would be on such a weekend.

Quote:The scene at the end, when the armada is destroyed, and the main ship is so damaged it can't pull itself out of the crash course it's on with the nearby moon.I have seen it, but not in years. It's one of my favorites. Anything with a Delorian is.
Can I get a refresher? What are you referring to?
"What do we do now!?"
*monocle flips over eye* "We die." -

AEntertainment Tonight returns tonight as 7PM Eastern with reviews of; The Lost Hero, Two Households Alike, In the Darkness Creeping, and Enter Japes.
-
Yeah, there's still some issues that need to be worked out, and a lot of data entry to put in, but the important part was getting the site and the submission form up.
-
We've made it through the Holiday slump, and now AEntertainment Tonight is back stronger than ever.
That's right, we now have our own site, which can be found here. And with the new site comes a slew of new features, including past reviews, a description of the reviewers involved, and a place for you to add your comments about the various arcs of the AE.
On top of all that, we will also have a visible queue for submitted arcs, to make it easier than ever to see which arcs are next up on the block! -
Assuming such an 'upgrade' feature would only replace old or expired ENH, couldn't a person changing ENH type just buy/slot the replacements, then hit Upgrade for everything else?
-
Well, first off, I'm not sure how difficult it would be to add in a mechanic to expire a 'rental' after X number of missions. Secondly, at least with the temp powers you suggested, there may be some trouble justifying their 'rental' in canon. We're either talking about sentient or at least semi-sentient beings, or making top of the line military gear available to, essentially, the public for a price.
I highly doubt Sands would have gotten his position in the Arbiters if he was willing to sell his services to the highest bidder. Granted, there's some back and forth among Arachnos, but if you're going to get that high in the ranks you have to at least partially believe in the ideals.
The reason the Warwolves have such a short timer in their current version is that they are being forced to aid you against their will. It's like using a dog whistle to make a wild bear do tricks. (I believe this whistle is magically enforced to boot, but I'm not 100% sure)
And the current HVAS is given out as a reward for proven works against the Rikti assault. Offering them for influence would be like selling tanks (the ones with treads) and fighter jets on EBay.
EDIT: None of this is saying I'm against the idea, just that it needs some justification for whatever the back up may be. Also, some of these are as strong as they are because they are either difficult to get, or even one-time-only rewards. If this is made an option, I don't doubt that they will be much weaker than the examples given. -
There's also the issue with the big load servers getting locked out on major weekends. I understand it's not as big an issue with the Login Queues that were recently added, but it's still something that the OP may want to consider.
