If there are people that want to kill everything can they team together and people that want to complete asap then they team together? Think that will mean that people are happier, less frustration etc less people having to leave if it lasts 10 hrs as opposed to 7?
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes, it's definitely a consideration. I suppose those 44+ would prefer to ghost and get through it as quick as possible.
However, it ain't a DarkWings team unless we kill everything single thing that moves.
I'll ask on the day. Perhaps we can spilt the teams for those who want to kill everything and those who want to get through it as quick as possible. -
[ QUOTE ]
... if there is still room
[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah, don't worry about the numbers already signed-up, I hate them all therefore will ignore the lot of them come Sunday.
But seriously, we're used to running multiple teams on these TF Sundays, and I'll do my best to get 2 or 3 balanced teams together out of those that show up. -
Oooh, already this is more popular than I expected. Woo!
-
[ QUOTE ]
Well, I turned out very lucky and recieved another HO from a friend. So my inventory has:
ToHit and Defense debuff and Accuracy enhancement. Times two. Both are going to me earth/rad, right on my Radiation Infection. Maximize enhancements ability with only 4 enhancement, that sounds good.
[/ QUOTE ]
Should point out RI doesn't need/take Acc enhancements, but the double effect of Def and Tohit Debuff should be nice. -
Yup. It's time for the Big One (tm).
Now, this TF is a bit special in a couple of ways, so if you've not done it before and don't know much about it, please read this post before signing up / attending.
Shadow Shard Task Force 1 is the longest TF in the game. By a long way. 5 hunts (all relatively near the start) and 19 indoor missions including an assortment of Defeat All's. Expect this TF to take in excess of SEVEN hours, possibly as much as ten hours. Obviously, for this reason, we'll need to start early on Sunday morning to be done in acceptable time, and allow a couple of breaks in there etc. If you know you can't guarantee your participation until at least 8pm Sunday night, please don't come.
Task force information is here.
The level range is 40 - 44, so only high levels need apply. And I'll be running on Unyielding (for the crack of it), so the higher the better.
Required team size is a full 8 man team, which may prove awkward unfortunately ... but since there's no AV, we can get teams started with less than 8 and they should have little problems. Also, there are several missions requiring 4 people simulteanously activating glowies near the end.
If you've not been in the Shadow Shards much before, go have a look around. Access to Firebase Zulu in the Shadow Shard is through Portal Corp in Peregrine, there's a marker on the map in PI for it. If your travel power is Teleport or Fly, you'll have no problems, however SJ's and especially SS's will have to use the gravity geysers to travel between islands, which are managable but hard to use for some and hard to get used to. We will combat this by hopefully providing each team with someone with Fly/Teleport and Recall Friend.
Our meeting point is Dr. Quaterfield in Firebase Zulu at 10am on Sunday 9th April. He's on the right from the portal leading from Portal Corp.
Any questions, ask below or get me in-game @MBar. -

The whole rad team that kept us under at least 6 AM for the whole raid.

Props to Cathy Wheel for some nice leadership within Us of the Green Glow. -
Big thanks to Jiaozy and all those helper people! Big grats all round!
AM spamming ftw! -
Apparently, I've not signed up yet for some reason ... I'm guessing you could use one of my toons, either:
MBar : lvl 50 Tanker, with all the Tauntiness and Dull Pain and all the crazy Accolades you can imagine.
Darkshift : lvl 50 Defender, 6-slotted AM plus Hasten, Mutation, Heal etc etc.

I dont know if I'd take DA, not that strong vs S&L which is the most common damage from scrappers
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, thee's always Tough. So, you'd say Invuln then (and be weak against anything non-SL)? -
I'm guessing you'll probably want EM/DA. There's all sorts of nice stuff in Dark Armour, but be prepared for End problems ...

The intention is to do the Shadow Shard 1 TF next week (7th April),
[/ QUOTE ]
Sign up Spiritess (lvl46 mind/shield troller) for the Shadow shard TF on the 7th. Early start??
[/ QUOTE ]
One week at a time, mate.
But yes, planning a 10am start for SS TF 1, so we can get some breaks in and still be done in relatively good time. -

So, can anyone comment on the knockback with Pendulum? Little to none, or enough to make you think about respeccing it out?
[/ QUOTE ]Don't have it yet, but I've always liked knockback, and loved all kinds of aoE's, so it's a no-brainer
[/ QUOTE ]
The prospect of knocking everything in front of you out of Chilling Embrace (which is an awesome power BTW) range gives me nightmares. Testing will most definitely occur at level 38 befoe a power is selected. -
[ QUOTE ]
... whirling axe, pendulum and fireball ...
[/ QUOTE ]
Got a lowbie Ice/Axe myself in the form of The Raging Viking (RRRAAAAARRR!!!).
So, can anyone comment on the knockback with Pendulum? Little to none, or enough to make you think about respeccing it out? -
The negative Defense is in Unyielding, and to the amount of 5% FYI. A three-slotted Combat Jumping or base-line Tough Hide will counter it.
Imvincibility is all about buffing your Defense based on the number of mooks around you. -
[ QUOTE ]
about ETtransfer, did they already fixed that 'stack up a 10 mobs into 1 spot' and when you do ET you hit them all together? (aka 10x 11% hp = faceplant).
[/ QUOTE ]
Not sure, probably not, but the "stacking" of enemies themselves seems to happen less frequently now, if at all. Haven't killed myself with Energy Transfer in a long time. -
[ QUOTE ]
Energy Melee has one of the lowest damage output you can think of a secondary ... until you get Energy Transfer and Total Focus (super strength, fire, stone and battle axe have far better damage below lvl 35, dunno about mace and ice has no damage in the whole set).
[/ QUOTE ]
Just amending for clarity. I assume you agree that EM after 35 kicks much [censored] (i.e. is the best single-target set there is)? -
Should be fine for me. Designated Defender Darkshift signing on.

Apologies for the suspension of last Sunday's TF's, a combination of Mother's Day and being called into work late meant I was going to be nowhere near the PC. However, I am re-arranging for this coming Sunday.
See the below for an updated version of the last thread:
[ QUOTE ]
Finally, I have decided a course of action. In the end, the tyranny echoing from Striga Isle has made the decision all too obvious.
This Sunday 2nd April, I'm proposing to lead Onslaught on a double header: Moonfire at 10am and Hess at 2pm. Sign-up below or simply show up at the meeting point (around the Trainer in Striga, Ravenstorm) at the appropriate time.
Moonfire TF information here and here.
Hess TF information here and here.
I know these TF's are a bit shorter than normal, and thatÂ’s the intention: get in there, kill everything and be done in good time for the 2pm run. I would like to eat lunch one Sunday in eight.
Hopefully there'll be plenty of you to abuse the overlapping level range of these two TF's as well. Moonfire is 23 - 28 and Hess is 25 - 30, so those 25 - 28 will be very well catered for.
Now IIRC Hess has to be "unlocked" before his TF can be started, so if you're bringing a toon with that facility, please let me know below.
The intention is to do the Shadow Shard 1 TF next week (7th April), so this gives you a bit more time to get those toons to 40 for it and any of the others Shards TF's I decide to organise.
Any questions, ask below or get me in-game @MBar.
[/ QUOTE ]
PS: Apologies for dominating the Union Heroes forum, I've already asked nicely for people to ignore the older thread. -
OK guys, yes, I'll get these re-arranged for all those interested this coming Sunday (2nd April). I'll post a new thread for it to draw some attention, so if you all could refrain from posting here and bumping this one up it would be appreciated.
-
Bah, working Tuesday and Wednesday therefore cannot attend.
Bah. -
[ QUOTE ]
Holding 100% of the aggro is no good if you're dead
And Tough is still ~24% RES vs S/L 3-slotted, which I really wouldn't call minute.
[/ QUOTE ]
I quite agree with Mr. Spad, sorry KinslayerX27. Its a big enough percentage to make Invuln Tanks, the supposed S/L kings, look twice at it. -
Bah. I've been commissioned to go do some work on Sunday, so I'm afraid I'm going to have to pospone these TF's until the week after (Sunday 2nd April).
Many apologies to those who've already signed up, but the combination of work and Mother's Day means I'll most likely get no where near the PC on Sunday. -
[ QUOTE ]
Gotta be said that CoD and a decent flame type aura in the middle combined with a fire sword and all the dark armours has to be one of the coolest looking things toonwise in CoX imo.
[/ QUOTE ]
You am teh c0pi3r!!!
It should be noted that I've since respecced out of CoD since then, and that I am just being a jerk. -

[ QUOTE ]
Barrage can be dropped for other things. Its weak and once you get the other EM attacks, there's little use for it.
[/ QUOTE ]
Umm Tanks can't drop Barrage. Maybe you meant drop the slots and put them in other things?
[/ QUOTE ]
Bah, stupid Brute/Tanker confusings!
Yes, unlesss you really feel the need to, the slots in Barrage can probably go elsewhere.
