So, Street Justice is a power set now in my grubby little hands.

I've been tossing around ways I want to use it. (I try not to double up on power sets). And I think I've settled on Scrapping (as opposed to Bruting, Tanking, or Stalking).

Now, because I don't want to double up on power sets (and since there's so few armor sets) I've decided to go with Fiery Aura as it's one of the few armor sets I've not really used.

Unfortunately, I can't find any guides on Fiery Aura. Or even Street Justice (no surprise there, it's pretty new).

I have a few caveats:

• No Hasten
• No Medicine Pool
• No Fighting Pool
• Only Single Origin Enhancements. No IOs.

So, I'm turning to you, gentle reader, knowledgeable denizen of the boards -what would be the best way to approach this character and ensure they can level successfully. I don't really care about 50, I care about 1-49.

One is awesome, lots of crowd control, but crappy archetype inherent.

One is more damage, not so much crowd control, but awesome archetype inherent.

Any 'Defense' set works well with Kinetic Melee.

1) dam beast

try getting the animal pack, and maybe play in Faultine? there's a dam there.

2) average soloer

since every AT can solo, this is tough

3) good soloer

every AT is good at soloing, but why list 'average' and 'good' soloer twice?

4) Idonno fun

not sure wht kind of fun 'idonno' is, but everything about this game is fun. except maybe incarnate content, and inventions.

I have 34 reward tokens.

In theory this qualifies me for 550 points a month. HOWEVER, the game is still saying I am going to get 400 a month. What am I missing?

my crab-based Soldier is named Thomas Iscariot. I'm somewhat proud of this:

crab spiders are the 'thomisidae' genera
also some members of the Sicarius genera are sometimes called crab spiders, and that genus includes the recluse spider

so... 'iscariot' and 'sicarius' are related linguistically, both referencing assasins.

So... a long long time ago, I created an illusion controller.
And at that time, I gave him a costume exactly like the Phantom Army, or as near enough as made no difference.
I got guidance from this board.

Now that particular costume apparently has invalid parts. I can keep using it, but I'd love to know a NEW way to mimic the phantom army using the new costumes... Has anyone discovered this?

Strange. I wonder if it's a bug, or just meant to be.

In the tutorial, no matter what AT I play, I cannot tab select the giant shivan when it emerges. I can get it in my targeting reticule using the mouse only.

Is this happening to anyone else?

I dislike IOs.
I'd like them better if there were no "set bonuses" or any of those absurdities.

They sit on the border between optional and optimal.

Also, I hate playing the market. I dump whatever drops on the market, which helps me afford my SO habit.

So I've been playing fully SO-ed characters, and having fun. Never been kicked from a team. Been derided and/or insulted on the boards a lot, but that's different.

I guess you could call me casual.

in terms of powers?

"just" beam rifle and time manipulation.

plus the powerset proliferation (new: darkness manipulation for blasters).

lots of other things are new and different, though

Street Justice will probably be out before the end of the year.

I've never played a character with Super Reflexes before, so I thought this would be a good opportunity to try it.

It appears this combination is available on four ATs:

Scrapper, Brute, Stalker, and Tanker

What would be the benefits/perils of selecting any of these?

(I'm hoping for something friendly for soloing, I must admit.)

It's for new folk who have an ncsoft account when they start the game.

For those that DON'T, they'll get a brand new ncsoft account when they make their character.

For those that DO, if they don't want a brand new ncsoft account, they can check that box, and they can tell the game what their actual ncsoft account is.

With the promised reward token distribution (all up front)

If I subscribed for a year, i would be Tier 9 as soon as I paid for the year (end of this month). I have EXACTLY enough tokens to pull this off. This was pretty much the only reason I subscribed for an entire year.

Unfortunately, since they cannot do this, I'm debating canceling my yearly subscription and just using that money to buy enough points to get to the tier I want.

I know it's a technical issue, but I wish there were an ETA.

Pros for keeping the yearly subscription: it's a discount over a monthly subscription

Cons for keeping the yearly subscrption: no guarantee on when I'll get to Tier 9, because who knows when they'll give me all the promised rewards

pros for VIP tier 9: 550 points a month

cons for VIP tier 9: accruing somewhat useless reward tokens?

While it's not coming for I21, I had an idea for a Street Justice/Shield Defense Scrapper.

but now I realize that War Mace has a Baseball Bat option, and that makes me think I might create the character NOW as a War Mace/Shield Scrapper.

Assuming War Mace and Shields get along well. I don't know, all I know is that Shield Defense doesn't like certain melee sets.

(but then I'll have to come up with ANOTHER concept for a street justice character.... I'm sure I can deal with that )

I mean, a tricorder is not a magical device!

for the longest time I wouldn't take Fire Melee because one of the starting attack powers looked like my character was tickling the enemy. Putting both hands on them... I seriously thought it looked like "coochy coochy coo!"

I left the game before it was proliferated, so this was a long time ago.

Anyway, apparently some animations have been changed, especially during the proliferation. So perhaps I can finally appreciate Fire Melee.
