Yeah I'd agree that the Half-Blood Prince would easily be one of the least enjoyable of the series as well.

But HP7.1 was still my pick for the worst installment so far. It was too slow and plodding in some areas while other parts were clearly rushed and/or glossed over. Basically it was badly edited and really felt like the franchise was just "phoning it in" at that point.

I'm still hoping Part 2 will in some way vindicate Part 1 and make the product as a whole seem more worthwhile.

Eh, I guess it depends on the subject of the episode. Just about every episode of South Park is a social commentary to some degree.

Anyway I thought this episode was great. I thought how the Japanese guy was being so apologetic to Kyle was especially funny... "Oh I'm sorry Kyle but I'm so hungry I must eat something... Oh no, I can't hold it back any longer!"

For now, since all of the Incarnate content is Praetorian-based, so are the pets.
Sadly I don't expect to see any other options for a while as well. I guess it's cool the Devs said they were going to consider it, but if it's gonna be like another year or two then it's not really something to get super hopeful about just yet.

All right, but apart from the sanitation, medicine, education, wine, public order, irrigation, roads, the fresh water system and public health, what has Emperor Cole and the other Praetorians ever done for us?

  7. I've never really quite understood the "timing" of when awards like this get triggered. It'll probably work the same vague way Vet Awards seem to work. For me I sometimes get my Vet Award around noon of the expected day. Other times I have to wait until like 9pm of the given day. There never seems to be an exact time which always seemed really weird to me somehow. *shrugs*

She has the ambiguous sexuality, the outrageous costumes, and the mostly-mindless pop songs backed by a surprisingly high level of musical talent. And judging by last year's Grammy performance, I think Elton is honored to have someone else continuing his tradition of the flamboyant pop star.
Well for what it's worth I don't strictly see Elton John as the earlier version of Lady Gaga either.

Obviously each of these artists bring something different to the table. I have no problem with the idea that Lady Gaga has incorporated elements of many different people before her, including Elton John. But I still feel as the current "most controversial female pop sensation" out there that Lady Gaga is serving as the closest candidate to what Madonna was 20+ years ago.

The actual characters in a list like this aren't really important. The main point is that comic book artists have had fun drawing female characters with as little obvious clothing as possible for decades now. I'm just highlighting the fact that even Nightstar in this cutscene is drawn in a way that is highly suggestive even if it was by complete accident.

I've still got my /auctionhouse bind set to use the "AE tablet" emote if it doesn't.

    iOS options

I think you could probably have some pretty nice "superhero" based iPad games, but I really don't think you could handle the complexity of something like CoH on such relatively tiny screens. Let's just say I would find it hard trying to play CoH on an iPad after being used to playing it on my 27" monitor at home.

And as far as other support apps for CoH that'd be fine. But once again I would pretty much -never- expect see an official offline costume designer for CoH for the same reasons we haven't had one all along. In case you aren't aware there were some lawsuit troubles years ago with Marvel which (apparently) effectively barred our Devs from allowing any offline costume apps to exist.
  12. I hope this last movie is worth it. I've seen all the other Potter movies so far and for some reason I consider HP7 part 1 to be pretty much the worst one so far. I'm hoping that with part 2 I can reevaluate both parts as a single installment and think better of the two movies together as a complete effort.

    Thundergod

Well it's currently got a 93% rating on RottenTomatoes.com and that's with 42 reviewers reporting in. Most of them seem to be saying something along the lines of "it's not perfect and has some silliness to it, but for a comic book movie it's pretty good".

I'm expecting it'll be well worth the price of a ticket at this point.

Seems like they could fairly easily add this to the list of things you can track with the "Attribute Monitor" window as well.

Well whether or not Nightstar is "fully functional" is certainly an interesting question.
But even if she isn't it's at least yet another example of "hiding" superheroine nudity in plain sight.

I think they've managed to go "too far" every season.
Their ability to "push the envelope" is what has kept the show worth watching for 15 seasons so far.

I think it's a funny people are always focusing on Mother Mammaries rather ample and obvious "life preservers" in that cutscene. To me Praetorian Nightstar is far more suggestively posed there. Does the term "robotic camel toe" mean anything to anyone?

Well for what it's worth the concept of the Cult of Personality has probably been around since the beginning of time. Perhaps the only "weird" part in this case is that people are letting the likes of Lady Gaga become the focus of their attentions. As always YMMV.

    What are you talking about?
I actually do understand the difference between "for pay" TV versus "broadcast/free" TV.
But my post had nothing to do with that difference.

Since pay cable is the ONLY thing we are talking about here and they CAN show us a "plethora of boobies, full nudity and blood hoses" why on Earth would they treat someone knifing a defenseless canine like it was even too taboo for HBO?

That was my point. Even when a "for pay" cable TV show could technically show us practically ANYTHING it is interesting that being able to show massive violence to other human beings is fine but when it comes to killing a lesser mammal that's apparently too nasty for TV. I was simply commenting on this from a social commentary point of view.

Sometimes the Devs come off as so disconnected from the playerbase I sometimes get the weird feeling they are literally working on a -different- game than the one we're playing. I know that's not the case, but they keep raising my doubts with situations like this.

Cat blood aside I don't "hate" Lady Gaga at all and I actually -do- have a point.
Lady Gaga is the 2011 version of Madonna, period.

That doesn't make either one of them more or less entertaining than the other.
It's just blatantly obvious to anyone over 30 years old who watched MTV back when they actually played music. *shrugs*
  22. Technically speaking the game isn't really forcing a league to stand around wasting time shuffling (or not shuffling) temp powers around. You don't have to dump all the temps on one person to succeed in a MoLambda attempt. Not sure what making people glow like this is going to solve here. Besides there are so many aura/temp powers being thrown around these days how is a new aura for this even really going to reliably serve its purpose?

There will always be naive/idiot players who choose to not listen to requests made by other players on trials like these. I understand your frustration with these players not playing well with others. I just don't see your suggestion as something that would be helpful enough to be worthwhile. *shrugs*

"People don't care" is not an excuse to write a bad story. It's an excuse to write paper missions.
Well all things being equal I wouldn't mind having the stories written for this game be "good" stories regardless of what percentage of the playerbase cares about them or not.

It's just like anything else: some people like PvP or badge collecting and some people don't. For those who like the stories I would hope this game satisfies them as well.

Yeah I'm in this mindset as far as this game's background story goes. I consider it necessary to help establish the setting of the world we're playing in but I don't focus on the "details" and tend to gloss over any continuity or canon problems I happen to stumble over.

To me it serves its core purpose: It's just vague enough that it allows people the CHOICE as to whether it's something that's important to them or not.
