    Magic Origin

You know, I always had this burning question since I began playing the game, is there even any relevance to assigning an "origin" to your toon other than for "story" purposes and the tranq dart, mutagen, etc. powers (which I dunno about anyone else but I don't use very often)? Does it actually affect ANYTHING in game or attribute-wise for your toons?

When submitting for a category, do we only go with one, or can we nominate an Arc for several?

I also was thinking the same thing.....

    MA Mondays!

Hey, I have an arc that I have completed, and wouldn't mind some ppl to run it and let me know what they thiink:

ARC ID: 98299, The Infernian Invasion: Act 1.

    Creator/Global: @Magmus Rules

Description: The heroes and villains of the world are forced to join forces to stop a full scale invasion on our planet, and you will play a big role in the defeat of the antagonist(and many others) of the story! Act 1 (of a 3 arc trilogy) introduces the story with someone you may least expect to contact you about something like this, however, it is because she knows a great deal more of the main antagonist than anyone else. You are curious of her findings, and decide to help her out.

Length: Considered Very Long.... 4 missions, the first 2 of which can be very quick, so it depends

Difficulty: Maybe not best to solo, however a MM did tell me he solo'd the whole arc. For best results I do suggest a team.

LVL: varies, some mishes auto lvl

    Alignment: Neutral

Enemies: Custom, and 1 mish containing 5th column.

Notes: There are up to 5 AVs/EBs spread out between the arc, just an FYI. 1st & 4th mish is a defeat all btw... the only one, & you may need an upping of diff for benefit of bigger mobs, as I am not sure of the diff. between testing and live version, but I noticed that due to "in-mish" help in that mish, it could be easy aside fighting the bosses.
    Thx and enjoy!

P.S thx alot Amy I do think this is a wonderful idea.
  7. Arc Name: The Infernian Invasion: Act 1
    Arc ID: 98299
Factions: Arachnos, 5th Column/ Created: Infernians, The Hellfire Syndicate
    Creator Global/Forum Name: Magmus Rules
Difficulty Level: Hard/Very Hard- Can depend on many diff. factors and/or difficulty setting. Soloing not recommended though.... I would say a team of 3 or more for best results.
    CREATED BY: Magmus Rules

Synopsis: Lord Magmus is staging an invasion of massive proportions on our home turf. The heroes & villains now must join forces for the sake of mankind, and of all who can contact you about such a thing, it is someone very unlikely... Do you have what it takes to stop the invasion??

Estimated Time to Play: about 1- 1 1/2 hrs (4 mishes)

Misc: This is the first of 3 parts. Keep in mind while playing that this is the 1st part, in other words the introduction of the story. Act 2 is in the works as we speak.... I put alot of time and thought to bring everyone a very quality storyline so please take the time to read it out and rate it! As it unfolds, big things are going to happen... I have confidence you will love it... thx and enjoy!

Sounds like a role palying SG and don't hate on Bunny FooFoo he own in PVP

Haha! funny Elf.... Nah, not necessarily full RP actually, I'm just hand picking members to join that would fit the "look" of my SG. I would say very light to almost no RPing, but RP friendly as well... I am obsessive when it comes to names and costumes but thats about it lol. After that me and the SG just like fun, active members.

    The Infernian Invasion 98299
    Rating 3 Stars

I ran this arc with a lvl 50 Ice/Ice Blaster on diff 3.

Overall this is a fun arc to play. It centers around a new custom enemy that is trying to get a foothold in the Isles and includes some of the patrons. Contact dialogue is well written and the custom enemies were very good. I thought the arc started off well, but went downhill.

Mission 1 was probably the best of all. It is a defeat all on a small map that has you killing custom critters that look good and are fun to kill.
Mission 2 was near impossible to complete running solo, but clearly this arc is for teaming and so it is all good. Again small map, simple objective, excellent boss to take down.
Mission 3 was disappointing after the first two. There are two very tough EBs to kill, niether of whom were mentioned at all previously and they are set to run after a certain amount of damage. In mish dialogue ok, not great.
Mission 4 is kind of bittersweet. The map is great (a rarely seen 5th Column map) and the ally is very useful. However, the 5th Column were quite dull to kill after two mishes killing the Infernian guys.

I liked the contact and her dialogue is a good characterization of her. The maps were all quite good. The custom critters were good. The Infernian War Monger looked great, he was one of the best custom critters I have ever seen.

Why not five stars? The last mish is a kind of love/hate mish, I love the map and the ally, but the 5th Column and the double EB were strong turnoffs, the last mish of an arc should be the best not the worst. I would have liked to have seen Magmus. I know this is the first part in a longer series, but I would really like to see the guy that started this whole thing and that I hear about the whole time. Five EBs in four mishes is too much for me, clearly this is intended for teams, but still 5 very tough AVs in 4 mishes is going to annoy even the best of teams. Custom critters were much more interesting than the 5th Column and they're not in the last mish, that's disappointing.

HEY! TYVM for the honest rate! I just read over your thoughts of it, and I love the feedback. Thx alot for the compliment on the Warmongers, all my customs were already imagined in my head days before the launch of i14 I was just too excited to create em, and I still have more new customs ideas set for the next arc.

I am sorry that the 5 AV spread out between the arc idea didn't appeal to you... maybe I can scale down my SG guys in the 3rd mish a bit. Its just that they are actual toons created by players of my SG, and I wanted to involve them in the storyline. Unfortunately, I didn't want to bog down the story with too much detail about my SG, which is why I was saving that for the next arc, so I tried to throw something in ( "I have now been informed that Magmus is already in talks with other villains around the world, forming a cabal of his own... he is moving at a very fast pace."). Its kinda tough, but i appreciate that feedback. I am aware of them fleeing, however I am not sure why they do that.... I do have them set at "Boss does not flee for health nor minion def reasons", but I am aware of that and experienced it myself, but I thought maybe it was just buggy for that specific time I tested it.

I also apologize for the customs not being in the last mish as well. My idea was, I didn't want to "play them out" to the players, being that there will be 2 more arcs that will also include them, I didnt want to keep force feeding the customs and add some variety, and tie in an alliance in there to twist things up lol. The reasoning for not adding the main antagonist to the 1st arc was to build anticipation to fight this jerk who ur chasing around, and cant keep up with lol. I was however, planning on trying to fit him in on the 2nd arc with a quick appearance. Dr. Sinistorr was one of 4 "heralds" that you will face along the way and I though it would be cool to add them in as well because the idea of going thru the "chain of command" (so to speak) to get to the top I thought would be nice.

All in all I really hope this didn't turn you off to trying the next part, as I really appreciate your honest feedback, and I think you might enjoy how the story comes along! Again, thank you so much!

  11. Any kind soul out there who is well versed with making videos for SG's and i14 promotional videos for player created content? Please, if you offer assistance in this field of work, I would love to promote my new storyline "The Infernian Invasion". I am not a wealthy career man, in fact i am struggling in hard times... so if u require a fee to help me, then i must decline. Just looking for a kind soul to help out! thx.
  12. Hey cool comics! I see no one left any replies so I decided to leave one stating how cool that site is. Great work!
  13. OOPS I PUT THIS IN THE WRONG POST SRY WHOEVER SAW IT IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE ON LIVE POST
  14. I just published my arc, "The Infernian Invasion" (Now playable btw ; ) ), and attempted to play it out... i ran into my created bosses who we're supposed to be wearing capes that I unlocked with the MA tickets.... but they we'rent wearing the capes.... I found this to be very upsetting... because some toons just dnt look right without em.... Anyone else have this problem? If so, was it resolved? Please help me out here... thx! I am also sending out a support ticket. Just want to know if anyone found the answer to the problem or if anyone DOESN'T have that problem.
  15. "The" Hellfire Syndicate accept no imitations....

    MEMBER CAP: 32
    CURRENT MEMBERS: 25

We are always in the search for ACTIVE members! However, once we get the capped amount of active members for this SG, there will be no more recruiting. This SG is designed not for the sake of being top 100, but for purposes of establishing a tight knit community within the group. Lord Magmus has no desire in having 1,000,000 members in his group. Our SG Base is currently in the works to be raid ready as well. Since our group is fairly new, new members have a greater chance of "ranking" with us. But remember, ONLY INQUIRE IF YOU ARE ACTIVE WITH TOON! We are not accepting inquiries from toons with silly names, or names that look like an AOL screen name for ex. something like Bunny FooFoo or Iam Great2009 will not be accepted. Have a little bit of creativity with your toon's name & costume for that matter... see too many toons with 8 diff. unthemed costumes that do not even give their character an identity... There's not much to work with as far as costume pieces vs players, but each toon should have something really that sets him apart from the rest. Well that's all we have alot to offer if u show interest so if u like, please send tell to Lord Magmus to inquire. Thanks
  16. Absolutely love the idea!!!! But what's the use if you can't use them in battle? I saw some posts saying that it would make some AT too strong, but their can be ways around that I think.. like Ultimus said, long recharge... and maybe blancing out sig powers for damage dealers so that they aren't just melee powers... i dunno. just throwing my thoughts in there.... BUT I definitley love the idea!
