Gratz Slacker, Silas and Cherry on your new 50s.
I spent way too much of my double-exp weekend workingand didn't get close enough to 50 on the toons I wanted to.

Quote:I'd certainly like this more than every night at 11PM EST, as it would give me a couple of week nights that I could do kickball, and I'm currently trying to do as much pvp as I can to learn and improve. What do you guys think of trading off every night? Like 11 PM on tuesday and thursday and 8 PM on monday wednesday and friday? Weekends could kind of be like wild-cards based on any events currently happening and whatnot
But whatever you work out, I'll do the best to work into my schedule.
Thanks.
-Llew. -
I thought I saw chatter in BMT about this last night and the BMT MoTD reads that nightly kickball is 9PM EST.
Is 9PM EST correct? If it is, I'll be able to join.
-Llew. -
Thanks for putting this together guys.
I look forward to joining on Friday and Saturday nights (East Coaster here)

Working off of my memory, I believe we had four /pain dom and two /therms and we tried to spread them around on the hami taunt, yellow taunt and yellow spike teams. Also from my memory, we started the monster hunt with 38 in zone (unhidden) and I believe we finished with 43 people ... so it was a good turnout and successful without having to cap the zone.
It would be great for the next raid (yes by popular demand there will be a next raid) if we had more pains/therms and that way each of the assault teams had someone to heal/buff as well.
The importance of the /pain doms, which I tried to drive home, was getting Painbringer on the Hami-taunting brute to cap his regen. With only four pains in the zone, it was obvious when the brute wasn't getting Painbringer when called for.
I am working to figure out what my schedule will look like in March (as I'm in the process of moving my business) and then I will announce the next raid. Hope to see everyone again!
-
Thanks to everyone that came out for this successful raid. We started the monster hunt at 7:31PM and finished at 9:15PM by my clock, so under two hours from spawn to finish is a great job.
Thanks to everyone for going along with a new villain hami strategy and thanks to all of you that took the time to get the bio nukes.
Look for a post announcing the next raid in a few weeks.
-Llew. -
Just a reminder that we will be farming for EoEs tonight at 8PM EST in Monster Island.
Thanks.

Just a reminder that this Hami Raid is scheduled for this weekend, Saturday February 27th at 7:30PM EST.
I will also be running an EoE farm on Friday night, 2/26 at 8PM EST for all that are willing to join me.
Thanks.

Hey all -
I am new to pvp; I have a stalker that is built for pvp that works great and I love, but I'm thinking of taking an electric/raid corruptor that I have build for pve and making a pvp build.
Problem is, I'm not sure exactly what I'm doing for the build.
Here is the data chunk from a build I'm working on ... any input is appreciated.

Fire/dark - always my favorite corruptor and there's hardly a situation I wouldn't play this toon in.
-Llew. -
Once again, nicely done Silas.
I've got a lowbie Archery/TA that needs some playtime and this will help me polish of my build.
-Llew. -
Quote:There won't be a "targeter" per se, as there is in a "normal" raid, but thanks for the offer.Members of both "blue" assault teams would target through one blue leader and members of both "green" assault teams would target through one green leader.
I have already coordinated team leaders, but would like to invite everyone to come out for this.
-Llew. -
Quote:Elec/pain corruptor or fortunata would be excellent. All my villains are on another server. ^_^;; Don't server transfers end the next day? I'll try to make it with a Corrupter if needed. Is an elec/pain corr.
Also have an elec/elec brute and a fortunata focused on team buffs and area damage/holds. Let me know what I should bring since I would have to transfer from another server to help. <_<;;
Thanks.
-Llew. -
Quote:So long as the mastermind can keep his pets attacking the current target (from range) then everything should be good.So in this strategy, MMs are totally useless but for their secondaries?
Meh....
Good luck, though.
We'll need all the damage we can get from everyone on the blue assault and green assault teams.
-Llew. -
You'll get a laugh out of this list, mainly because I can't stop making brutes ... I play with mids when I'm at work trying out different combos and then I just make them to see how they'll perform.
Unfortunately, there isn't enough time in the day to level them all.
- Dartaye, lvl 50 SS/WP - my first brute and one that I still use for everything, including the majority of my farming.
- Cataclysmic, lvl 50 BA/SD - my first shield toon; I've gone back and forth on whether I actually like this toon, IO-ing, stripping and now IO-ing it again.
- Cumbersome Llewthor, lvl 50 elec/stone - one of my favorite brutes, so long as i'm dual-boxing my kin; farms Nems real well too.
- Juiced Llewthor, lvl 38 elec/SD
- Spawn of Llewthor, lvl 25 dark/fire
- Damon Ferera, lvl 25 fire/SD
- Colossus Llewthorus, lvl 19 SS/Invul
- Electrifying Llew, lvl 16 elec/WP
- Thundering Llewthor, lvl 16 stone/elec
- Dartaye's Inferno, lvl 15 SS/FA
- October Thrash, lvl 9 claws/ea
And Silas, I know ... less brutes and more corrs
-Llew. -
From my conversations with the leader of the Pinnacle raid, the issue with /dark brutes taunting hami is that they need to be in range of hami to use their heal.
And, at his suggestion and per normal hami taunting procedures, you want the hami-taunt brute at max distance to keep aggro away from the assault teams and so he can be buffed.
As it stands, I have a ss/wp brute lined up as our primary hami taunter, but will certainly consider you as an option if we get into a bind.
Thanks.

I am putting together a Villain Hami Raid for Saturday, February 27th at 7:30PM EST.
This raid will use a different strategy than the normal redside raids that use mastermind pets to control hami's aggro. The strategy was used in the last week on Pinnacle and their raid was successfully completed in 45 minutes, not including time to spawn Hami.
The new strategy will use the following plan:
Quote:I expect/hope to have enough corruptors, dominators, fortunatas and masterminds to fill two teams each for the "blue" and "green" assault teams. Members of both "blue" assault teams would target through one blue leader and members of both "green" assault teams would target through one green leader.II. Set-Up
There are a minimum of 5 teams used in this strategy: a Hami Aggro Team, a Yellow Mito Aggro Team, a Yellow Mito Kill Team, a Blue Mito Kill Team, and a Green Mito Kill Team. The following is a list of who should, ideally, be on each team. Given the nature of public raiding, however, we live with the reality that we will frequently not have the best combination of toons present. So these teams will, by necessity, be modified for each raid to accommodate the people present.
Hamidon Aggro Team: 1 Brute (w/taunt), 2 Pain Domination Masterminds or Corruptors, and 1 Kinetic is ideal. It is possible to work with 2 Pain Domination toons and no Kinetic, but at that point I suggest having an additional Brute on the team to take over when and if the Brute who is taunting the Hamidon goes down.
Yellow Mito Aggro Team: 6 Brutes (w/taunt) and 2 Pain Domination Masterminds or Corruptors. ItÂ’s necessary that at least one of the pain domination toons has recall friend and Conduit of Pain. It is possible to use /thermal corruptors or /thermal or /poison MMs as support toons for the brutes taunting the yellows, but I strongly suggest having an additional support toon or two (preferably a /pain domination corruptor or MM) on the Hami Aggro Team to help the support toons on this team with buffs as a safety measure.
Yellow Mito Kill Team: 6-7 Melee Damagers (Brutes, Stalkers, Soldiers of Arachnos, or Night Widows), 1 Pain Domination or Thermal. It will also work if you have two support toons on this team, and if at least one of them has recall friend and a rez of some kind. Each team member should make sure to have fly or the flight pack that can be purchased in Grandville.
Blue Mito Kill Team: 6-7 Ranged Damagers (Corruptors, and Masterminds with FF, Storm, or Traps as their secondary powerset), 1 Pain Domination or Thermal. In this case, one of the corrupters may be a Pain Domination, Thermal, or Sonic, but you would want to make sure that they knew their primary job was mez protection and not damage. Again, two support toons are better. Note that, depending on your team make-up at any given raid, this team may not need an individual using single target mez protection. With two Dark corruptors using Shadow Fall, and two or more Force Field or Traps on the team, the AoE mez protection should be sufficient as long as the team stays together.
Green Mito Kill Team: 6-7 Holder/Damagers (Dominators, Fortunatas, and Masterminds with Poison, Dark Miasma, or Trick Arrow as their secondary powerset), 1 Pain Domination or Thermal. Again, if you are depending on one of the holders for mez protection, it will be important to insure those with mez protection responsibilities are clear on their duties. It is useful to have two of these teams working together, if possible, and targeting through the same person.
I also plan to use two (2) bio nukes on the brute teams for each round. I would appreciate it if anyone planning on attending could grab the bio nuke, as this will go along ways to helping make this a successful raid.
I have already coordinated team leaders, but would like to invite everyone to come out for this.
I will also be running and EoE farm for Friday, 2/26 at 8PM EST so that we are prepared with EoEs for the raid.
I hope to see you all there.

I play almost exclusively on my villains now and very rarely have issues finding teams. Granted I'm teaming with most of the same people from my sg/global, but we also include some pugs when we have the room.
I am also on two static teams at the moment, which is a great way to have a dedicated team to play with once a week. I run a Saturday afternoon all-VEAT static team and am also on the Wednesday night early team that formed through the forums.
If you have an idea of when you are thinking of running a static team and what the time-frame is, please post that. I may be interested and I know other people would be too, depending on the time and day.
Plus, look me up the next time you are on ... I'm on for a couple of hours during week nights and generally most of the weekend and my villain group almost always has something either planned or in the works for teaming.

You can access/track this by opening the power window, clicking "combat attributes" located at the very top (above all of your powers) and influence/infamy is listed towards the bottom of the "base" section.
If you right-click on infamy (or influence) a pop-up box appears giving you the option to monitor it. You can then move that box anywhere on your in-game screen.
I can monitor up to 10 different combat attributes. For example, some people like to monitor their positional and/or typed defenses to see when and if they are soft-capped in combat.
Hope that helps.
