Liz Bathory

Elizabeth was attending a small party in Grandville. She used her more human appearance and walked between arbiters and political advisors alike.

Most of the guests hadn't had a clue who she was... and the few who might have recognized she avoided. Still she was glad Stefan himself wasn't attending.

She sipped some of her wine thinking if there wasn't a servant girl who wouldn't be missed when Ghost of Death's message hit her. She spoiled some of her wine over the floor because of the unexpected shock. Then she grabbed her cell phone.

Scrolling through the names on the blood-red Nokia she stopped at the name 'Medusa'. Slowly she walked to a silent corner while on the other side of the line Jack Dawn's phone began to ring.

The wolf's sense of smell might be incredible... good enough to find Drake in the darkness. But the full moon gave the animal a very short attention span.

Seeying the night light come through the door, his instinct thought of freedom. He gave a snarl towards 'the crazy lady' while passing her... then jumped out of the bar. In a few moments his howl was heard somewhere across the roofs of the city.

Jack wouldn't be happy the next day. Knowing he again lost control on a full monn night.

Jack howls while slapping Petal's fist to the side, his eyes still fixed on Drake. Charging foreward his hand hits Petal hard. For a second he seemed to recollect what she was saying to him... Looking her straight in the eyes he shows his teeth and growls.

Walking through the broken tables and chairs towards the bar gives him a good number or cuts, but his unearthly regeneration heals them unbelieveble fast.

Even for Jack he was now unusually strong. The full moon brought out the worst in him, but his lycantrophe powers where also at its peak.

Jack missed the slippery Aracnos... But noticed where he went. Grabbing the table he threw it towards the bar...

The wolf totally took over... And as such recognized Drake as a heavy hitter in the pack. Good chance it was mostly the helmet and armor that would make Drake look menacing enough.

Its huge werewolf form jumped forward and attempted to grab Jack in order to lift him from the floor. Fully intending to throw him or break him in two. The wolf didn't plan that far ahead.

Elizabeth had slept most of the past day and a good chunk of the night away. Her undead rest was disturbed several times by the sounds of machinery the workmen used while reconstructing the facade of the ground-floor building right above the sub-basement.

To her right she noticed that Alicia wasn't in at the moment... so she put on a black chemise and walked towards the bar where she grabbed a bottle of blood only recently drained. Filling up her glass she noticed the paper of the day before lying on one of the side tables.

Slowly and with interesse she read the article. Content with it she took a sip of blood. "Let the games begin Mechano... let the games begin...", she softly said to herself.

Jack was hitting a thug on the head several times. In the corner ofhis eye he saw the zombie brawl...

"Filthy creatures... I never liked the ones the countess kept walking around either... They smell.", he though out loud.

Noticing their caster he threw the man he had been hitting senseless straight at her.

Jack was slowly losing control and human form as he was fighting. He was here to subdue the Wolf... and a fight like this was not really helping. His skin formed more and more black hair, his body obviously his human form to that of the wolf.

BTW: Why on dxp do more teams seem to think that upping the rep and picking missions that are +4/5 to most of the team is the way to maximise xp flow? Number of teams (and of longtime vets) that seemed to do this and xp suddenly slowed from a torrent to a trickle interspersed by Hospital trips...

Yeah, that's really quite irritating. Enemies that are +2/+3 are quite enough for a DXP weekend considering you'll be pretty much just running through entire armies of them non-stop. I think it's better that way at all times, it's just plain boring when you have to stand there sizing up each and every spawn until someone just Leeroys in.

Last night they were Whites and Yellows on the team I joined. For a Warshade that's just XP heaven. Steamroller em and see if you can leg it to another group before the Mire expires.

Personally I won't fight more than +2s/+3s for long anyway. I hate my lovely powers getting reduced to peashooter levels by excessive purpling of mobs. That said at one point on Friday my mentor was AFK for a bit, so I was 6 or 7 levels below the Mob levels (but still within 5 of the average team level) and the XP I earned was ridiculous. I did feel useless though : "Dark Quasar blasts a Freakshow for 10 damage. Freakshow is now laughing".

Blame Eros for that Carnie , but seriously tho I agree with the problem, for example yesterday was on an awesome team blasting around the isles killing all and sundry, we were going on for a good few hours and not once did anyone ask to up the rep...we kept it at a nice pace with boss enemies conning around red for us at max.

I do agree that there is a belief amongst some folks that (and this applies dxp or no dxp) conning purps is the only way to get great XP, id like to see two teams start on an arc with similar AT's..one on medium diff the other full diff. Would be interesting to see the outcome speed and xp wise (taking into account debt earned etc)

Personally though im more happy with a team that finds the enemy a challenge, have a few "eep" moments and yet still be comfortable with the pace and level to have a bit of banter along the way.

With patrol stuff there is no debt anymore... I havent had a single debt point during the whole weekend. And that was even with my blaster

Jack was sitting in the dark. The corner table he managed to get suited him rather well. The moon was near full and he tried to drown the savage feelings of the wolf inside him with extra booze.

In front of him was an almost empty bottle of Jack Daniels. He had asked the barman to leave it. It made ordering easier.

Then the fight started... Jack's eyes turned ferociously yellow at the sight, but he maintained his cool rather well. Even when he had to dodge some parts of a broken table flying to him. The Arachnos guy sitting there was joining in. Jack smiled... Free entertainment!, he thought.

Then a dazed guy stood up and grabbed Jack's bottle to attack the other guy at the bar with it.

Shocked Jack lost some control... a low growl sounded from his throat and he grabbed the man at his shirt. A strong pull made him hit the wall hard. Jack grabbed the bottle and drained it at once.

"OK, who's next!", he said... and a howl sounded through the bar.

Levelled my blaster Aludra Stellaris from 36 to 40.7. Made her a lot of prestige to create at least one complete engine room for her spaceship. Goal was 41, but just couldn't find the time... because...

I also levelled in character my tanker Uebermensch from 44 to 50. Making the last bars on the 'Save the World' mission. Doing the ITF at 44-45 with only 6 members that same level range... and finishing it too!

Wasn't a bad weekend.

Yup.. but with the paths obstructed all raiding was disbled the same time.

Ha.. found this out a while ago.. implemented it.. Couldn't work it. It seemed that even using the official 'impossible to block' rules I still managed to block area's in such a way that the raid system wouldnt allow it.

I petitioned it and all the support could do was saying that it had a block problem. Never found out where it was though.

We are already very creative with power effect and the moment to change the cozzy.

It should only help if there where emotes that where tailor made for this.

The Alakazam effect but with =out the pumpkin.
The whirlwind animation without the power effect.
A mist emote
A thunderstrike emote with a more blinding center

As long as the complete covering moment in the animation is a few seconds longer it will be easily usuable to manual select the cozzy you want to change in.

On the powers... Having read what DC Comics Online has done with it... They made the travel power also having inherent abilities. Kind of what is suggested here.

What if we just be able to, by activating twice or something, boost the power temporarly for a few seconds.

What you will get is a boost button for every travel power. Hitting it while using the power will...

- Boost fly to supersonic without a real way of turning.
- Boost super speed even more allowing you to run over water. Actually to do that we should skip over the 84 km/h but the server can't handle that speed I understood. Running up walls is impossible with this engine. BTW.. remove the feet aura and make it a trail aura being left behind the legs. Can be same color and will be much better accepted.
- Boost super jump to really jump buildings in a single jump. lower fall damage at least 50%. Anyone jumping that high can take it.
- Boost tp to huge distances. TP should always have the ability to go through buildings as the OP discribed.

This enables the extreme sport of "Granite Bombing". This requires a blaster with group fly, a stone tank and a hazard zone. The blaster flies the tank over a juicy spawn at which point the tank turns Granite Armour on.

The goal is to drop the tank right into the middle of the spawn where it can hold the most aggro. You get bonus points for dropping it on the bosses head.

Admittedly, it's easier for the tank to teleport but that just lacks style.

Remembering X-Men its now a shame you can't throw youre partner for any combination of a Fastball Special.

First.. I loove the Incredibles cool quote.

Second.. I only have one wearing a cape .. the rest should actually have cloaks. I use the cape sometimes to try and make one lok like a cloak. What if we keep the [censored] hero cape to lvl 20 and all variations to lvl 1.

Then again... the same thing counts for the alien villain who may be even hating Hero-1 for stopping the Rikti. Having game mechanics like this explained by game lore isn't always working. And I guess this is one of those.

This is not done by the engine.. I found a post by the one who did all lip synch animation by hand. To make it look cooler.

The engine cant do this.

Still... some animation in the face would be cool. Give life to the toons. Blinking eyes... grinning faces... blowing a kiss... Hair that moves in the wind even if its just a script as the cape.

"That went well...", Elizabeth said while standing up. "I have some targets in Paragon to cripple too... Especially the Council and the Hyena's. Both have hunted me and my kind far to long."

"But I have to say to you all that an open attack is still not adviced. As I said... I promise a cease fire only. But you can count on me and my Court's support when plans are being made on these two targets."

"I like how you think Alicia... yes... that would be a huge help indeed.", Elizabeth reacted with a aristocratic laugh.

"Oh, but I can see that... I can also see that there is a good chance we end up in an all-out gang war too!", Elizabeth signed for the waitress.

"All I can offer at the moment is a 'stop fighting pact'... Take it or leave it."

She bowed down to the waitress and gave her the money for the drink including a very good tip.

Elizabeth threw a meaningful look at Pistol... Then with some doubt to Breaker. Completely ignoring the remark Ed had made.

"I once thought an alliance with the Corporation would be of use to me... as they have people in tech organizations I could use alsmede some high tech my scientist can't come up with. The meeting went not as planned to say the least. I am not keen on repeating that."

"As too what my resources are... They are more then you can guess, and less then I would like to have them."

She folded her hands together and waited if the others where to reveal more.

Elizabeth had stayed cool and emotionless during Ed's ranting... only to lift an eyebrow at the words "You need me!". She emptied her Bloody Mary. "You are completly out of you're mind..."

"What do I care if heroes fear me! My operations go much further then torturing and drinking the blood of a human... Making full-out attacks, showing me being there... being active... will only lead to heroes digging in my operations. I don't need that!"

"Besides... I will be around scheming when most of them will have withered and died of old age anyway. I don't want total domination. Just the control from behind the screens that enables me to get whatever I want."

She looked at Edward with a grim smile... "It's a shame some control still eludes me. Or I would have gotten a hold on Zero and you would be dead by now. Believe me when I say that I looked into it!"

Elizabeth turned her head for a second and nodded towards Breaker and consorts. "I see the toy-soldiers here like to have their enemy close. It's a good tactic, and you will need every protection you can get."

"I am not into television that much, so I have not seen the show you speek of Alicia. But I trust youre judgement."

Elizabeth turned toward Breaker... "Mr. Breaker, I have been threatened by warlord's and demons alike. If that is what you come to do here... please go play somewhere else."

"We are here because the doctor here has something to tell us..."

She looked at Ed very sharply trying to pierce his mind... "What do you want Mechano?!"

I havent had lag in the past 2 years.. this week I havent been able to zone without typing /synch... not once. And a huge lag...

Nothing has changed on my side... There is something going on...

"The bedroom next to mine is free as my High Lord is roaming the netherworlds at the moment. You can stay there for as long as you like.", Elizabeth looked slightly amused. "So now we are roomies Alicia? That is a very strange twist for us. You are right of course! Personally I would love to torture... maim and kill the *******, but anything we can do to him at the moment is better then nothing."

"Ha... let us discuss you're plan during our first girl's night then."
