Thinking about it, I'm not sure how to change the level of enhancements. I think it must be set to automatically set them to their highest level. I havent checked if theres a way to turn that off (I'm sure there is), but havent needed to do so myself.
There is an option in one of the menus to set it. I am not home so I can't look at it. I will edit later if you don't find it. I usually set everything to 30 on my builds so that I make sure all bonuses are good to at least that level for exemplaring occasionally. Even if I don't do it a lot, that one time that I would lose soft cap defense or perma hasten or something pisses me off.
  2. Looks pretty sweet. I just don't have the PvP resist IO. That's why I didn't try to fit it. I do have the defense one, so it made it in. I tried to get the healing bonus +4% from the IO sets, along with recharge for 1 more slot. I hope it is actually helping my regen portion. If it isn't, I wasted slotting. I also tried to offset my regen by going with the vigor alpha powers. I am still working on the final build, but that was what I came up with until I can farm myself to some more money or something.
  3. The build I have may not give as much regen or hitpoints, but I feel it more than makes up for it in defense to all types and psi resists. It should also come out to be significantly cheaper and allow you to use that money elsewhere.

    Important numbers:

    Defense - 45% S/L, 36% En/Neg, 22% Psi, 41% Fire/Cold
    Resists - S/L 48%, Psi 38%

I also have maneuvers, but I left that out of the numbers since you don't have it. I gave up the Spring Attack and Super Jump that you have for Hurl and Maneuvers. I was going for the Technologically Altered boxer with my character. Never get hit and heal when he does. Unless there is a significant defense debuff that results in cascade failiure, my regen never comes in play. I have only seen this fully with Rularuu and I think they took my regen too. Whatever happened, I just started dying and couldn't recover. Other than that, I am still testing the limits. The levels are as close to 30 as possible for exemplaring down. Even when I don't have to protection of Strength of will, he should be pretty srtong. I think I am going to move some of the energy set bonuses a little lower though to cover the time when I don't have heightened Senses. I did the low level "Who will die?" parts and felt naked.

  4. The Umbra beast is what turns me off each time. The set was awesome, but once I get back to playing him, I bring the wolf out and I'm like, "Oh, yeah...that's why..." I get that the sound could be turned off for me and that's fine. But it shouldn't HAVE to be turned off to not be annoying. Howling is fine. Howling every 5 seconds is not. If the howl was more beneficial, it woiuld be tolerable. Like on my beast MM, I know when they howl, I need to send them because it's the damage buff. That guy is just annoying.

The +2 Proc makes that power a beast. With the recharge and having two up at most large spawns, something was getting held...period. I built my beam/time corruptor for recharge and could have 3 up if it was even necessary. With the proc, I could reliable lead off with that with the defense from farsight and maybe 20% or so total ranged bonuses. And by the time anyone got out of the first field to close to melee, I had another one up, or they were dead--either worked.
  6. I would ask that at least one of the MM attacks be a strong attack. Either the middle can do as much as a blaster second attack or something like a decent cone for the sets. Make it a reverse supremacy. As long as you are in supremacy range, those attacks get a 25% bonus. That way I would have a reason to keep the powers at high levels. doing this would not be overpowered as most pool powers do as much damage as some MM powers.
  7. Every pet that comes through seems to have superjump at the very least. Umbra Beast gets nothing. He should have Teleport to TP up to where you are, or grow shadowy wings or something. If you don't want to get creative, give him superjump. He just looks so stupid if you go up a building that is just a hair too tall, and he can't find the steps. He does the whole "hop on a ledge, fall down...hop on a ledge, fall down" thing. It's funny when imps do it. It's not funny when an ominous beast from the Nether Realm does it.

Ok, so I just sent a catalyzed enhancement to myself from a toon. Are you telling me that with the catalyst drop you cannot purchase the ATO you want with that toon, catalyze it and then send it to yourself for use on another toon?
  9. I thought that the catalyzed enhancements were account bound. So, if you had a catalyst on a character, can't you email that character the ATO you want to use the catalyst on and then email it back to the toon as an enhancement? Or am I seriously wrong in thinking that? I have only claimed catalysts from the cards and only on the toon I was going to use it on, so I am asking honestly before I get too invested in all these new systems.
  10. The proc stacks also. So, to have a 100% chance to go off once, may not be the best thing overall. I am not a number cruncher with procs, so someone else will have to make that call. Also, it never dawned on me to just go for smashing and lethal with the ice shield. I spent so much time on recharge, I forgot the simple stuff. I came here trying to help, but I am seeing a lot of good stuff in return. Let me know how your final builds work in practice. I may be headed toward my first ever toon that uses purples.

You kinda have to lead with Fear to run in and use Heart, then jump back to use Living. If anything gets missed with the fear, I get hit, and have to hit everything with the single target hold and possess as quick as possible. The whole feel of the set will change once the beast attacks on it's own but anyways that's why I am kinda big on acc/to-hit.
I fear, then immoblize. If stuff is acting up, then I use shadow field. I rarely ever use heart and rarely ever get hit(hard). I use living shadows to lay on the -to hit. I have .56 acc bonus and rarely miss more than 2 in a group. The odds of it being someone who can hurt me are even slimmer. I have the boss/LT targeted and throw a hold, confuse, or the ghosts at them. Being perma, one of those is gonna hit, or recharge before he gets to me. And if that isn't recharged, living shadows is. What kind of groups are you gonna be facing with this build? I don't know if you discussed that above.
  12. Dark grasp is at 1.90 acc(1.20 base) and 28.34s(17.88s)/Dom--42.50s(26.82s) duration with 30 acc/rech, 29 rech/hold, 30 acc/rech/hold/end, and 30 acc/hold. Shadow Field is at 1.59 acc(1.00 base) and chance for hold for 1 m 16s(it's all screwy looking) with the same slotting. I was only mentioning that though, because you have a rediculous accuracy bonus that would cover the spread anyway, and the recharge is already gonna be high. If anything actually needs to be held longer, you're about to die. I was looking at your build more, and that was the slotting that was throwing me. I know why you did it, but couldn't understand why accuracy would be a concern with your huge bonus.

I left out super jump, vengeance and tactics, but the builds look simliar. I don't know which direction you were going with your build, as some of the slotting looks all over the place. Based on the value of some of the stuff you used, my build doesn't seem any more outrageous than yours should be in price. Probably 600 mil-1 billion along with the LotG recharges. I also have the dominator ATO set with catalysts for 10% instead of 8, but that's not a huge jump. My goal was to simply have permadom as soon as possible. My enhancements are as close to 30 as they can be and all my recharge except 5% is good down to level 30. I also squeezed in just a little ranged defense and other stuff, but that is definitely not my primary goal.

They should allow unslotters to be used as un"slotters" and move slots aroiund until your next official respec. Maybe only 5 slots between respecs or some cap or something. Would sure give me a use for all of them.
  16. I just dropped Engulfing Darkness, because I usually stay at range. That's where that set of attuned Oblit came from in Heart of Darkness. I figured unnecessary damage in a power that I use is better than useful damage in a power I don't. I had a stupefy in there at first, but the 6.25% bonuses were all around, so I tried to make room for the 5s. I am probably gonna go with Witch's plan of ranged defense when I get some more slots or better think the build through. As is, this one cost me too many unslotters and enhancement boosters, but it's been well worth it.

The Set Bonuses of Purple Sets never shut off due to exemplaring more than three levels lower than the level of the IOs (which are level 50).
Now, that is very useful. I just never put much thought behind it, as I usually have to build on a budget. For the cost of one purpled toon, I have built many more toons in his place.
  18. Yeah. There is more I could do with planning. I just did this as I was leveling, because the set was such a blast to level and turned out to be a beast early on. I generally don't slot purples because of losing their bonuses and the overall expense. Also, I did ponder the idea of going for ranged defense also. The problem was limited slots. Like I said, this was literally a leveling build and I just knew what it took to get recharge in and could not afford to put 6 slots in some powers at those levels. This build was perma by like 37 I think, built on the fly. I knew it had nowhere to go but up after that. Lacking the ranged defense has not hurt me, as anythign that hit me, I probably deserved. I will swap some stuff around at 50, but the goal was still to have perma by 30 in the end.
  19. Here is my current level 44 build for those wanting permadom or perma haunt. Also, it should come up in search with those terms. I don't have the exact numbers on the power recharges and some of it may be overkill, but that's all I could do without Mids, was overcompensate. I am only posting because people keep looking for/discussing haunt. Sorry if this is a double post from some other solution, but I figured no one was going to post builds till Mids came around. This will have to do for now. This build was built while playing and is perma at 30 while exemplared. Hasten currently has (45+5)(40+5)(40+5) recharges in it--again overkill. This lands 100+ recharge in it even exemplared down to level 30 numbers. Haunt has a (40+5) in addition to the Call to Arms Set.

The level 38 build had 90% recharge and was close to perma hasten, using three (40+5) enhancements. It was probably REALLY not necessary to use all the boosters like that, but I had like 100 something boosters. Again, this build is just a playing build that was built along the way. Some slots are overkill, others are not needed or may not fit your playstyle. It's not optimal from a min/max standpoint, but it works for now. I hope this is useful to someone out there.

This is the updated level 50 build. All recharge except 5% is available at level 30 and has just a little ranged defense.

    Haunt perma?

I posted a makeshift build for my dark/dark permadom in the Dom post of nearly the same name. It was at 38. With that haunt was perma and hasten was down just a second or two. That was 90% recharge I think(have to check that post). Now that build is up to 44 but when exemplared has permadom down to level 30 with 102% recharge and some 45+5s on hasten. Haunt has 4xcall to arms and one recharge IO, I believe. I will post the build when Mids comes around, if no one else posts one. It was about 600-700 million + the 5 LotG I had laying around. Hope that post helps.
  21. I made a dark/dark and barely hit permadom with 90% recharge exactly. I can tell you the slotting thus far, but cannot post since it was all without mids.

Dark grasp got 4 Basilisks for 7.5%
Fearsome stare got the ATO set of 5 without the proc for 8.75%
Heart of darkness took 5 stupefy for 6.25%
Haunt got Call to Arms 4 piece for 6.25% and then a recharge.
Shadow Field got 4 Basilisks for 7.5% then the +2 MAG lockdown and a recharge
Umbra Beast got 4 Call to Arms for 6.25% and a Damage

Gloom got 5 decimation for 6.25%
Engulfing Darkness got 5 Obliteration for 5%
Life Drain got 5 Decimation for 6.25%

Then I have 4 LotG recharge for 30%

    I have hover 2 slotted(KB)(LotG)
    Combat Jumping(LotG)
    Stealth(LotG)
    Grant Invisibility(LotG)

and Hasten 3 slotted for recharge.

I think that is all. Give me a moment to go over the numbers, but that brings haunt down to perma/not noticable. This was done without Mids, based on playstyle and desire to get permadom early. It's not optimal or complete. I still will pick up Midnight Grasp at 38 and slot for another 5% or whatever, and then make room for another LotG. Right now I picked up Sleet at 35 for the debuffs for teams. This build is level 38 and I used some slots that may have went elsewhere with the KB protection and extras in the pet and the recharge in haunt. Hope this helps.
  22. Thanks. I was like on page 8 of the beta feedback looking for something. And I didn't see it on known issues.
  23. My Umbra beast on my Dark/Dark dominator will not attack anything unless I get attacked. Is this a new mechanic and working intended or is this a bug? I reported it as a bug in-game. I hope this is not an intended mechanic on an AT that does very well for not getting hit.
  24. Thanks for all the replies. The market fluctuation is what throws me. I think I will hold them and see what I need to craft. I scored a lot of cash with the AT enhancements too, so I'm not strapped anymore. I will just throw it all at my new dark/dark Dom to go for perma probably.
  25. I have a ton of them now with the hero packs and TFs and such. What is the best thing to buy with them as far as money wise or usefulness. It used to be LotG or oblit, but the market is screwy, so I don't know any more. Also, if I set the level at the merit vendor and use the merits for recipes, will they still be max level or what I set the bar at? Thanks in advance.
