  1. The only part of the build I really question is slotting end redux in /wp (especially claws/wp). To be honest, I tend to get stamina even with QR. That being the case, I almost always go 1-2 accu (depending on the level I'm fighting), 3 damage, 1 rec redux.

I almost always take hasten, but there's nothing that REALLY benefits from hasten (like say in /ele where you have Energize, Power Sink and Power Surge that all benefit from more recharge).

My brute is level 27, and aside from my BS/Shield I don't remember a toon leveling this quickly, though I'm rolling -1/4 in my missions.
  2. The only switch I use, from time to time is -console.

It opens up a command line and shows you what the client is doing. Kinda nifty, but ultimately doesn't really tell you much (at least it didn't in my case...but maybe in others?)

That did the trick...The shortcut was running in Windows XP SP2 mode, unchecked that and then checked the Run as Administrator and it works great now.

    Thank you.

That's the oddest thing, the only change I made to the system was the homegroup between good performance and 'omgwtfbbq' performance....though the defrag is a good idea.

    Long load times

I'll include a hijack this and a DXDiag, but as of today I've started experiencing VERY long load times. Suddenly I'm taking 5-6 minutes to log into a map where before it was taking 60 seconds or so (give or take).

In the interest of full disclosure, I've upgraded my system from Vista 64 bit to Windows 7 64 bit, and it wasn't a clean install (took the lazy way out and did an inline upgrade as opposed to a clean install). However, the game had been working fine the past few days.

I've loaded my most recent time with -console and it seems like the longest parts are:

    loading sequencers at 74.80 seconds
    MissionSettingsTemplate 14.13 seconds
    Creating Auction Data 13.14 seconds

it took 343 seconds from client start to login to Ourobouros. Then I tried to login Grandville....and after gettting several warnings (6) it seems to hang.

I've tried two different characters with similar results.

The only other thing I've changed (aside from the OS...) is I put my system into a homegroup
edit: removed homegroup, rebooted same issue...

I don't mind using inspirations, but I don't have any shivans...(hmm..not YET anyway!). I've been hoarding my tier 3 inspirations for AV fights (blues, purps and greens), though I went through them pretty quickly.

    My strategy:
    1) Pop Hasten
    2) eat a 3rd tier purp and give one to my bruiser
    3) Send the bruiser in
    4) Pop powerboost
    5) hit noxious gas
    6) Hit Envenom, Weaken, Neuro..
    7) RUN oh god RUN!!!

Yeah he summons a bunch of banes pretty early in the fight, and his -recov end drain is nasty. I may head to bloody bay to get a shivan, but right now I'm not even denting the big LR. I'm also thinking 'meh' and lowering him to an EB...
  10. Right now I'm playing through the project destiny arc, and I'm at the last mission where you need to take on Lord Recluse, I'm playing as a Thug/Poison MM, using Black Scorpion (for powerboost), and I'm having a devil of a time soloing him as a AV.

Aside from lowering him to an EB, anyone have any special advice?

    Instant Healing

A wee bit later, I believe I3, IH and Integration both got hit with the nerf stick when IH's values were reduced a bit and both IH's and Integration's +regen was split so that some of the value wasn't enhanceable and some of it wasn't. Then, in I4 if I'm not mistaken, IH was made into a click power with the same values as the toggle, only without being able to be made perma.
    yes...and no....

Shortly after go launch, integration had a MUCH higher end cost and no regeneration, it was status protection only. Instant Healing was PURE healing, and was also a high end toggle. The thinking was that players wouldn't want to take QR and stamina and six slot them both.

A change on test was that integration and IH were mutually exclusive, and healing was added to integration. That didn't go over too well...so, IH was lowered and integration kept its healing AND had its end cost lowered (yeah, so it a buff...). IH was changed to a click during the GDR.

Toggle IH was well over 1000% healing, though I don't remember the exact figures. Click IH iis break even with 1000% fully slotted (I believe)..
  13. Did you level it up petless, or respec into a petless build?
  14. I have a lvl 49 nec/dark MM, and really it's almost impossible to screw up a master mind, unless you go petless...

    From my primary I took
    3 pet summons
    2 upgrades

I had soul extraction when you could dismiss a pet and use SE on it. After they took away that 'feature' I dropped it. With playing a nec/dark you don't really need the control it provides.

From my secondary I took everything but blackhole.

    For pools:
    Leadership (why not?)
    Fitness
TP (for the summon friend and teleport).

I haven't played with IO's on this toon, but since I don't intend to really PvP with it OR try to solo AV's there's no real reason to.
  15. So...I got my ninja/thermal to 28...and I was so looking forward to forge. Now..I don't expect a Fortitude clone..but..I'm a bit underwhelmed by it.

I guess I'd like to see it raised a bit...maybe a bit more damage and some damage resistance added to it, or maybe a +HP buff added?

Hmm...I'm curious, why no KO Blow? Didn't need it? I spammed it quite a bit..and, obviously, my results were not nearly as good as your's....I have to think about a respec.

Hmm...I have about 62.5% global recharge now.

Did you use KO Blow? How much health did it regen during the rage crash? I was thinking about using my vet powers at that point: blackwand, shadow maul and the nemesis staff....

The ability to say I did it...and join the ultra secret Forum Cartel, that doesn't exist.
  19. I had hasten until the last respec, but since I already had +62.5 global recharge, that was close enough to perma-hasten.

I might look at some +damage bonuses, but with double stacked rage I have +160% damage. Not to mention fury and basic slotting.

Hasten means an additional end dump...but since I'm not having end problems anyway....
  20. I picked up energize on the respec, so I haven't looked at how to slot it with sets so I'll look into doctored wounds. When last I played Energize was Conserve Power which I didnt' really need.

Hmm...I'll look at the alternative footstomp slotting as well..but I do love me some forced feedback +recharge.

    Another alternative I was thinking:

    Drop CJ
Drop SJ (ninja run+swift+sprint+lightining reflexes should be 'fast')

Pickup GI or invis and put the CJ slots in there.
    Pickup hasten (again).

I originally took MU Mastery for the end drain component and the -knockback. However, I don't really need either. As long as I can slot the Devestations and thunderstrikes in gloom I'm good.
  21. OK...I have a SS/Ele brute that I recently respec'ed into a more single target build and I thought I could easily solo a Rikti Pylon....but we fought to a no contest. It could have eventually taken me down, but there was no way I could pump out enough damage to take it down. I'll attach the data chunk at the end of the post.

The build focused on +HP, +ACC, +recharge...there's not a single purple or PVP IO to be found in it. Any suggestions/thoughts/comments would be appreciated.

I'm not a huge fan of /FF. Its a one trick pony (that does its trick VERY well).

I prefer traps and dark, I'm now running a /thermal MM and I'm closing in on Forge.

Or if you insist on something else besides hover, you can spend ~5mil and pick up a KB protection IO and put it in combat jumping (or dispersion bubble....though taking hover seems cheaper to me).

Everything else makes sense to me...I just don't see why acrobatics is needed.
    A few reasons:

    1) Does dispersion bubble give knockback protection (I don't know..)
    2) Ran out of powers
    3) habit

He wanted superjump, CJ provides a bit more defense and then acro is another pick. He stated he wanted university style IO's, so I decided to ignore any other IO's.

personal preference is I don't like hover, but like I said there's no real great reason for acro.

bots-take all three bots, both upgrades. You can take repair, but I'd suggest taking aid other since with a heavy defense base you'll have an easier time firing it off. 2-3 accuracy and 3 damages in all bots, with a def buff in the protector bots. For the upgrades put 1-2 end redux

FF-Take force bolt (you have no choice in the matter anyway). Deflection shield, insulation shield and dispersion bubble. 3 defense 1-2 end redux in all three

    Power pools-
Fitness-hurdle (1 jump enh), health (3 health) stamina (3end mods)
leaping combat jumping (1 def), super jump (1 jump) acrobatics (1 end mod)
leadership manuvers (3 def buff, 1-2 end redux) tactics (3 to hit buff, 1-2 end redux)
medicine aid other (2 heal, 2 inter redux, 1 end redux, 1 rec rdux) aid self (see aid other)

Patrons-I would go with mace mastery for scorpion shield (more defense) and power boost. Hit power boost and start bubbling your minions and the bubbles will be even stronger.

This will leave you with a glut of slots left over, which I guess you could use if you start getting set IO's.
  25. This just dropped for my lvl 20 nin/therm (lft!....sorry..habit)...

Any experience with slotting this in Call Jounin, since it does accept defense debuff sets?
