How much Prestige is winning the zone supposed to award? Do you have to be in SG mode to get it?
I only ask because I can't recall EVER being told that I'd been awarded any Prestige. -

That's not how it works at all. There are no mission type rewards - you don't get XP for the mobs, and you only get some at the end.
Also, the whole point of the trial is to enable base raid PvP. That is what it is for. The PvP aspect isn't tacked on or 'forced', it's the trial's raison d'etre. -

Ooh, here's a thought. Striga and the Hollows are the models, right? Striga has a chain of contacts leading to a TF. The Hollows has a chain of contacts leading to a trial.
So maybe Faultline will end in the Faultline Trial, and the crash site in the Rikti Ship Trial? It would explain why those two zones were being redone and Boomtown wasn't. -

Precisely. As soon as this goes live, anyone with enough Salvage will be able to see Stalkers in Siren's Call without even needing IR goggles to do it. -

Seems to me the same sort of mechanic (and the same justification!) could be used to give us triple damage in PvP when we have Domination up. I could live with that... -

My feeling is that they've got it pretty much right with this version. Any SG large enough to be able to get a raid ready base together should also have a good chance of beating the trial.

I have. It's next to useless.
No amount of help to boost the rate at which we build Domination will make up for our sheer naked vulnerability while we are trying to build it. We are defenceless in PvP, and also in PvE.
PvE example: I was trying to solo Black Scorpion earlier today. (Eventually succeeded, after a LOT of work.) All the mobs in the mission were dead, and there was only the Elite Boss left. I had nothing that I could build Domination with except the one target that I needed Domination to defeat! And, of course, while I was trying to build it, I was getting slammed about.
The only other AT to have comparable defencelessness to us is the blaster, and blasters have their huge damage to compensate. They've also got that Defiance thing that so many of them hate so much, but which at least lets them do more damage when they get hurt. What have we got to compare? Nothing. If blasters are a glass cannon, then we're tissue paper handcuffs; and at least you can fire a glass cannon.
If the Devs are determined to make us totally dependent on teams for survival, then they should maybe give us a new team-based inherent. Give us a bonus to our control powers for every teammate we have. -

It's only the secondary attack powers that award the extra 8 points on the Domination bar, and that only when they hit. The primaries are still only 2 points. -

I think it was the one ahead and to the left of the villain base. That was the easiest one for me to get to. I can't be absolutely sure, though. -
The missions are superb - a minimum of repetitive stuff and defeat alls, plenty of flavour. The new map features are excellent (especially the Arachnoid tunnels, creepy as hell) and some old maps seem updated, e.g. the prison rooms and hangars in the Arachnos rooms.
And the Rescue Night Widows (Regent Korol) mission is sweet, sweet revenge. Shredded Carnies everywhere. Kudos to whoever wrote that one. -
Not seeing a thread for the new colour tinting, so I'll mention here that the mid walls on tech 2 seem bugged - they're only using one of the two colours.
SG logos: for a medium-sized character, the podium is too high to see over! (Assuming you're meant to face over the curved wall.)
Also: how about adding some existing badge art to the glass pedestals in place of the SG logo to make Base Trophies, awarded when you get the badge? For example, the Devilfish tentacly circle could be stuck on a smoky glass pedestal that you could then put in your base as a memento of your heroic deeds. -

Question for the heroes: when you get Defeat Villains for Extra Prestige popping up, what sort of prestige reward are you getting, and is it for player villains only, or players and villain mobs?

Not having made the change, my guess is each attack power from the Assault Set that hits any number of targets will get 8 * the number of targets hit. Looking in the sheet, I see that that is definitely how Whirling Hands was set up. I'm not positive that's intended, though.

VERY IMPORTANT QUESTION: does this mean that if we fire off an AoE, we get 8 points per hit, or just eight points if we hit at least one target? In fact, since PBAoEs don't even HAVE selected targets, player OR mob, how does THAT work? -

They couldn't just as easily do mayhems. Storyline missions follow one after the other. Mayhems require 5 of the horrible grindy awful Newspaper missions between each one.
