Sadly my first experience in the STF was a failure as well.
All the missions prior to the last went fine. They were challenging and fun. But when we came to the last mission it was a major cockblock. I will probably not do this TF again mainly for the fact that a) if it was designed around having a specific team set up and b) designed around having to use nukes and shivans I'm not interested in it or what rewards it offers cause nuke/shivan farming is not something I enjoy and not being able to team with people because they arent one of the "chosen" ATs for the STF really turns me off. -

With Enhancement Diversification comes a benefit for ALL City of Heroes powers.
Every power, across the board, is getting a 13.33% reduction in its Endurance cost.

even with this token gesture i am glad i canceled
this isnt the game i fell in love with anymore
its something i do not find entertaining
I'm tired of it all and I am tired of baiting and switching and nerfing and respecing.
I'm also not stupid enough to believe you the second time you say that you're done rebalancing powers and spare me the diatrabes about how this just affects enhancements because ultimately powers are affected by enhancements
Why was having fun the way things were so wrong I just dont get that. i would have stayed for years happily paying my monthly fee for this game...
i5 was the first time I ever contemplated quitting but i stuck through it and was able to barely rework myself to compensate for the nerfs
but this just pushed me overboard. i dont have it in me to try and deal with overhauling yet again. my money is just better spent on a product that doesnt aggravate me. -
basically in pvp they should create a corpse "object" that decays like any other villain corpse in the place where a player dies in pvp so it can be used.

Defense-based sets have more vulnerabilities. Defense in PvP is a joke because player accuracy buffs are so incredibly strong. And defense is the only set of powers in the game affected by the streakbreaker, a deus ex machina that swoops down on you every once in a while and declares you naked and helpless by divine fiat.
Defense sucks compared to resistance, in practice. But the devs don't see that -- they look at spreadsheets that tell them 20% defense is equivalent to 40% resistance (with base 50% chance for a minion to hit, 20% defense in theory means you're taking 30% of the minion's damage. To get the same value in theory for resistance, you need 40% resistance.) And with those numbers in hand, they make defense worse by far than any other damage mitigation strategy in the game. In reality, to balance the game, they'd have to make defense much, much stronger than their spreadsheets tell them to, because it has so many vulnerabilities. But they don't see that, and won't do it.

I have come to learn that Geko is the man in charge of these numbers.

you know i have always privately believe resistance far outperformed defense but never spoke up about it for fear of being ridiculed (especially considering my experience is not great with melee based toons)
Resistance is way better than defense plain and simple
id rather have guarenteed protection than a percentage chance of not being hurt
In some ways it kinda makes me think stone armor is a prime set since its so diverse
it has resistance and defense and regen all rolled into a nice neat lil package -
yea seriously...
when will this whole gender bias thing stop already?
guys need shoulder kitties and girls need cigars! -

Primary Stealth Powers (Those in a defense set like Dark Armor/Cloak of Darkness, Dark Miasma/Shadow Fall, Storm Summoning/Steamy Mist, Warshade/Shadow Cloak)
Toggles:
If you Attack, or are Hit - Critters see you. (You loose your PvP stealth for 10 seconds). Your translucency is reduced to indicate this change. No Defense is Suppressed

Liking this very much but does this also apply to illusion's group invisibility which is a click and not a toggle?
I'd just like clarification before i cheer. -
I think sonic blast is a great set. It's got a nice secondary effect both defenders and blasters will appreciate
that said...
It really needs to have a sonic secondary to match it for blasters. Blasters need more options to give them variety and more than just devices secondary as the only non melee based secondary set. making a sonic secondary (and an archery secondary) for blasters would not only let people make concept based toons with matching abilities but it also increases the variety of blasters we'll see in game -
I like this set alot. Not only for concept but for utility
that said...
as a primarily controller player I do not feel its right to give trick arrow to controllers.
Defenders already hate the fact that every primary they have except dark miasma is a controller secondary. Trick Arrow (and Sonic Debuff) should remain exclusive to defenders IMO -

Am I the only one who's offended here? After looking through all those screenshots, and seeing that women can adjust the size of their McGuffins, and yet we men don't get a slider to adjust our Package?
It's Sexism, I tell you!

I agree... the men are neutered. They look great from behind but from the front they are flatter than a ken doll.
I'm not saying they need a slider for it but come on its human anatomy! Theres SUPPOSED to be SOMETHING there! -
I have a feeling the "tweak" they are going to implement for regen is to make fast healing stronger and instant healing weaker so that you need fast healing six slotted + instant healing to get the same lvl of healing you are getting right now from instant healing alone... thats just a guess though
sucks bigtime though I think instant healing is fine as it is. but i wouldnt mind seeing the regen line get some good tweaks to powers like moment of glory, revive, etc. -
lol i am saving all my rocks from trick or treating and gonna pelt them at hamidon :P LOL
it will be the most glorious and hilarious method of obtaining debt i can think of
