What do I need to make this happen? slotting, IO set, etc.
Thanks! -
Bleh, all this number crunching *shudders*. You guys need to realize that A) this isn't World of Warcraft, and B) doing 0.5 more dps than the guy beside you doesn't win you any awards.
Go have fun and quit dumping on the people who just want to express their enjoyment of a power set. -
I realize that a brute will always outdo tank dps. All I meant by what I said was that I'm amazed by just HOW much. But then again, it could be my infantile understanding of the Incarnate system and what it does for a player.

A friend of mine runs KM/Elec/Fire w. Ion Judgement and he absolutely rips through things. He has barely any IO sets and at the moment just uses mostly standard IOs. I am constantly amazed at his damage output.
I run an Invul/SS tank and I'm all IO sets and the difference between what him and I can drop is staggering. -
*whew* That is a LOT better than what I put together. Thank you so much for taking the time to help me out. It's much appreciated

My tank is 50 and in desperate need of a respec (build is pre ED). He will primarily be used for S/L farming, but on occasion will help teammates with regular missions. What do you guys think? *(AP powers are for RP purposes, so disregard unless Energy Mastery is a MUST have)*

Quote:Really? So going with a level 30 IO build is really not much different than getting a level 47+ IO build? Because if that's the case, doing it this way is going to save me a HELL of a lot of influence. Also, and this is just a suggestion, but I'd slot lower level IO's so everything doesn't go poof below level 47. I always design my builds around level 30-35 IO's so I keep my bonuses down to those levels. The small loss of enhancement value is really negligible. Take the Reactive Armor for example. Dropping from level 40 to level 30 costs you a bit over 1% in resistance yet it will cut the cost by 2/3 at a minimum and you'll keep the bonuses to level 27.

Oh for christ's sake, how stupid of me.
Invul/SS
sorry -
I don't understand what you're asking me (or telling me) and I also don't see how a comment like this is even remotely helpful. What I was running before I quit in terms of a build is pointless because, as I stated, I'm respec'ing. Starting from square one.

I'm bringing back this character after an extremely long hiatus. I need to respec this guy badly. My focus is to run S/L farms in AE and I would really appreciate some build advice in order to accomplish this. Don't worry about the expensive IOs and their sets. Just some cheapies to get me going until I've put together enough inf to start slotting out for the better ones.
To give you an idea how long I've been gone, I stopped playing after Enhancement Diversification. I understand now that using any more than 3 of a specific enhancement is a waste. If there is anyone who can post a build for me that outlines how much of what to put in each power, I would be in your debt. Thanks in advance! -
I'm dusting off my level 50 invul/ss tank so that I can run some S/L farms. I have a couple of questions that I hope I can get some help answering.
1) Can someone point me in the direction of the optimal build that I should have in order to run these farms? Not necessarily all of the enhancements I need because it's going to take some time to acquire the expensive stuff, but just the powers and the slotting.
2) Is there a particular AE mission that is best suited for the kind of tank that I am?
3) Anything else you think could be useful knowledge for me!
Thanks in advance for the help guys -
And unfortunately, all of your cries for help will fall on deaf ears. Statesman has pleased his fanboys, and thats all that matters. I wholeheartedly agree that pling should be allowed and left alone, especially for those of us who have run the gamut already and want to skip the boring bits. Having said that, it's becoming harder and harder to do so with all these bloody changes.
On a side note, I've found myself paying more attention to my Xbox and Sega CD isos (yeah, Sega CD, thats how bad this game is getting) and less on CoH. Who needs the aggrevation of perma-nerf anyways? -
curious. every toon that logs in gets the respec, or every toon regardless?
