Turning off the geometry buffers makes a HUGE difference on maps like the rwz vanguard base. Not sure why these maps cause the mac coh client to lag heavily and the bootcamp windows client to behave normally. But turning off geometry buffers fixes things.

Yeah that was my first MoBSF and I didn't realize we needed an MM to get the Black Scorpion temp power that prevents Reichs from going Unbreakable. We did have 2 rads, but I think one didn't have lingering rad yet (only 48, dinged 49 and got it afterwards) and both kept getting stunned because they got too close to Reichs (his AOE is really big!).
I asked Oz what his numbers were and he said tat his s/l/e/n defense was in the mid to upper 30s I think. With even a small defense buff from fort or a bubble he'd be over the cap. Also, Ice Armor depends heavily on its aura being a damage debuff. However AVs heavily resist such debuffs. So it's conceivable that an AV with high tohit attacking when our rad debuffers were stunned could hit Oz 3 times in a short time period when the Ice Dp equivalent is down and take him out. The problem is this happened several times which seems unlikely.
Interestingly enough, I again attempted (and succeeded at) the MoBSF last night with 4 MMs, a Blaster, Warshade (Me), Dom, and a Stone Brute. The MMs were /ff, /pain, /storm, etc. with leadership and we had tons of buffs. The Stone Brute had defense numbers in the 50% range and we had spot heals from O2 boost. And stone has both +regen and massive resistence in granite/rooted. Even so he nearly dropped several times in the final fight (as did I even with perma 85% res in dwarf form due to team link). The MMs were amazing by the way, reminded me a lot of a day long ago when a Corruptorless, MM heavy team (including Badge and I on our MMs) finished the LRSF back when the AVs were level 54 and IOs didn't exist.
So in short Oz, I think you just got unlucky combined with missing about one key buffer. If you recall there was a stretch against Reichs where he didn't scratch you for a LONG time. Of course, we couldn't scratch him either.
Next time, I'll bring my MM, troller, or defender to the party now that my badge obsession is sated. And why can't we IO you out to the gills so your natural defense is about 5 to 10 pts higher and your +hp click is perma?
Edit: And if you really want to see how the experts get the BSF done, you might want to run it with Kid, Talbein, Impyre, Chiller, etc. They have far more experience on the extreme TFs, especially villain-side. But wouldn't it be epic if us POW channel folks could do it? Maybe we should bring out all the old guard (you, me, alber, stale, cass, tab, teen, tal, etc.) and teach Reichs a lesson?
And yes, the Cyst ambushes were just wrong! -
Thanks for running this kid. You make it look easy, which it most definately is not.

Knowmad (level 50 Rogue Warshade and rabid badger) now has a full set of Shivans, all 3 Nukes, and an HVAS, along with the handy serafina team buff, various sundry temps, etc.
I'll be at the PO base portal tomorrow 8/29 at 4:45 PM PST looking to dish out some Pain. -
You've missed many badges. When you return, I will tell you all about them
And Praetoria looks really cool, almost like a new game. -
A group of vigilantes and I defeated Deathsurge last night and didn't get a badge. However we also defeated 100 gremlins and did get a defeat badge for that. Is this a bug?

The thing about the coming storm is it's relation to time. The letters and clues indicate that our world has already ended? in some possible future and that certain events need to be altered to prevent that outcome.
Some say that the reason for our DOOM is the emergence of super powered beings on this planet. That is the beacon that attracted the battalion from several time streams.
Some say that the battalion is still run by Requiem and is returning from many futures to wipe out the progenitors of its enemies in some far distant future. They will arrive in ships powered by enslaved Nictus energy with power that can only be overcome by Incarnates. Supposedly Marcus Cole has brokered a deal to save Praetoria from devastation.
Nemesis and his menders either want to stop or provoke the storm, depending on which version you encounter.
Noone knows what Rularuu thinks of all this, but my bet is that he gets the final word. -
Here's what I did - played a Warshade for 5+ years.
23 respecs later and I'm a friggin badass. -
Not everyone here is crazy Danny. In fact, this game is ruled by math. You are now part of the grand equation maintained by Arcanaville throughout the ages. And Castle has placed you in the spreadsheet from which there is no escape.

What if the devs decided to release the new GR Praetorian Zones as single "serverless" zones? Imagine logging in to see 5000+ people online and ready to team. Would it work? Would it be fun? Of course, there's not enough time to make it happen, but it's fun to speculate.
Next Up, merge the Hive and the Abyss into one massive "serverless" zone as well. Then do the same for the PVP zones. -
Why don't Force Field powers provide defense debuff resistance like other defense based sets? Would such an addition make it overpowered?

I may implant a Nictus in our Hamster. It may be our last best hope for a stable server.

Quote:No I meant we all (even me) got the badge on Mission Complete and then the Corruptor died on purpose as a joke because I didn't realize the badge had been awarded. In retrospect it was a good jokeWe did a standard run tonight and the Green Mitos were much easier. With the Hamidon by itself, sure it would be an easy time killing it. You should just run another one and reiterate to the team that you don't have the badge and you want it.

Just completed a successful Master Run on Protector after the patch. The greens were fixed because our 2 Doms held them in about 3 seconds. Somehow we managed to take out all Mitos without aggroing hammi and had an easy time with him at the end all by himself. Is this normal?
In any case, it was an amazing team (2 doms, 2 corruptors, 1 tank, 1 scrapper, 1 brute, and me a Warshade) that went slow and put up with my paranoid warnings every 10 seconds. Although one corruptor nearly managed to give me a heart attack by dying on purpose after final TF complete. He knew we all had the Master badge, but I didn't! -
Put all your slots in Nova and its attacks until 21, then put them all in Dwarf and its powers after that until at least the mid 30s. As a first time Warshade, the forms are the most powerful and straightforward. Orbiting Death does indeed look awesome. But it's not too useful unless you heavily slot it and those slots are better spent elsewhere. The best human form powers for a triformer are those that require few if any slots - Stygian Circle, Shadow Cloak, etc..
I think Kheld's have a 400% damage cap (like defenders, tankers, etc.), but long ago there were rumors that it was 450%. -
Make room for Gravimetric Emanation - the aoe stun. It's amazing for mitigation.

Warshade Wednesday is a good start. But I won't be satisfied until Warshades own the whole week. Purple Power!

Quote:Yeah just reading some comments from producers about what the "real" story is. I still think the show is more poetic if you see them as having been dead the whole time.Given that Matthew Fox said after the show that the Island was real, and the only "purgatory" was the sideways verse. Yes.
But as usual, "reality" is a mess even on TV -

Why do people think LOST was so complicated?
1. Some people die in a plane crash.
2. After you die, most people don't realize it and exist for a while in a world similar to their own lives, much like the sideway universe of season 6.
3. Sometimes, especially when dying suddenly and violently (plane crash, ship wreck, etc.), you end up on the island, which is the center of "purgatory", the border between death and "what comes after", if anything.
4. At some level the people on the island are aware that they are dead and gain power from that subconscious realization (jacob, mib, ben, richard, etc.). With that power comes fear of the light at the center of the island. MIB wants to leave the island, but cannot as long as he is aware of the light.
5. Destroying the island/light is like destroying the knowledge of death and the power is gone, hence why MIB can be killed after Desmond extinguishes the light. It also explains why leaving the island causes nothing but anguish. Once you have the knowledge that it represents, the sideways universe is unsatisfying.
6. Accepting that you are dead removes the pain and you can move on.
To recap:
1. Purgatory is normally not realizing you are dead.
2. Some people realize that they are dead, but cannot accept it. That is the island. -
I tried MoLGTF again last night Yeti. While we didn't avoid some death, we did complete the tf with deaths only in Mission 4 (hammi). We were able to hold the green mitos with one perma dom and 2 trollers. It seems like this will be very doable with enough eoes and buffs.
And whether we get the badges or not, Mo Madness is fun. I suggest you make it a regular event running a Mo TF every weekend (a different one each weekend). Lots of merits and eventually everyone gets the master badges. -
I will help the Yeti. I just respecced Knowmad back into his classic kick *** tri-formulation of doom as prep for possible MoLGTF madness.
My suggestions are bring sonics and Bama Hulk, my good luck charm on many a masters run. And of course Impyre and Talbien succeed so often at these it's a crime.
For MoLGTF bring at least 3 trollers/dominators to have a shot at overcoming the current green Mito bug. -
Quote:The screenshots are stored as regular jpegs. Just control click on the city of heroes app and choose "Show Package Contents". Then navigate to the screenshots folder:At least you can get at your screenshots. I've followed the instructions in the mac forum to the best of my ability and I still can't extract the screenshots from the files where the game embeds them.

If you want an easy button, just go Warshade and max out Black Dwarf. After the I13 changes to Dwarf mire, you can solo anything, though certain Elite Bosses like Nosferatu require a few inspirations.
