Thanks for the reply
I luckily got this today by random broadcasting, in a PuG
I'm nearly out-levelling the next one though (Mask Maker) So I'm hoping to get the contact this time!
Btw I'm in your VG -
Would anyone be interested in exchanging an amount of Infamy, in return I would give them the equivalent Influence on heroes side?
Please Pm me @Knight Eye
Thanks -
Does anybody have the mission for this badge/Or Leading up to it? (Lvl5-10)
If you do, please give me a shout in game as I've outlevelled it unfortunately.
I will be around Thursday from 4:30pm GMT Please pm me @Knight Eye or email me Mephistophilus
Thanks -
I have only just got back into CoV after spending the entire year so far playing on blue side!
I got my Necro/Traps MM to 40 ages ago, but since that I've heard a lot of bad stuff about this combo (even laughter at the mention of it) so he's been stuck in my inventory, gaining cobwebs throughout the months ever since.
I'm kind of thinking about deleting (to free up a slot for a thug/dark!), but it seems kind of a waste after getting him this far. I am really confused about what to with him, I'd like to do some pvp, but mostly pve.
If anybody can help me with a build, be much appreciated
Otherwise I may bin the toon & put it down to bad choice, start over.
Thanks -

Kin and Archy are correct - it is possible to grief other players in PvP, and victims of such behaviour should /petition with full details.
[/ QUOTE ]
Does Griefing cover the fact that yesterday I was in RV, badge hunting with my blaster (who I'm not comfortable fighting other players with!). Players noticed me stealthed sj-ing past them, as far as possible away from them, avoiding them & not joining in any fights. Then they started broadcasting insults & heckling?
Infact, Please can you post definitions of griefing in pvp, as they are unclear, they are not easy to define anyhow, when what's acceptable to 1 player may not be to another! I suspect these definitions have already been posted, so I'll check around for them.
Thanks -

I agree with Shannons build as a pure PVE build, except maybe for 1 thing. I don't understand the reason for slotting Chilling Embrace with slow in PVE. I don't see the point in slowing PVE mobs as they don't exactly move very fast.
[/ QUOTE ]Personally would never put slow in it for PvE, since it has a negative impact on grouping them as they move so darn slow.
[/ QUOTE ]
And only putting 1 taunt in CE is negative to grouping - I've tried it -
Only 1 taunt in CE? definately too little in my books
CE is a really key power in PVE (& pvp) for an ice tank IMO
3 slot Hibernate - most definately
maybe that extra slot in barrage is wasted, don't reckon it makes it much different from the 1 slot, only for attack chain recharge. -
Well, I'm shocked that this has gone to 2nd page of the Creative section already!
This is brilliantand here are my reasons for saying this:
- Really nice characterization, nice depth
- well planned & layed out
- Suitably comic like mystery/tension created
- Great original ideas, and articulately expressed
- Incidental humour is a nice touch, not over emphasized
- The description of how he got his claws is simply brilliant, and the characters reaction to this extremely stressful situation is very well written
Rooks, bud. I'm voting for this in the next round - Great work -

This is the legendary Bumber Clot herding the entire map on the 'Eden Spires' trial, back in prei5 days!! I haven't tried to draw an entire map of DE, instead just kind of did it as a close snapshot. BUMBER CLOT -

I think, after much Soul-Searching i am going to make this Sunday the 20th of August the last time i log on for a while. I have been considering a break from Paragon City for a little while now, and to be honest it is such a lovely place filled with so many wonderful heroes and really inspiring characters i simply dont want to ever tire of it. I don't want to be one of those people who just hang on for the sake of it watching changes creep in with every new issue, i want the 'magic' i first felt when i took my first steps in Paragon...the magic i felt when i flew for the first time, and to preserve that 'magic' i am entering semi-retirement till at the earliest i8. In the meantime i plan to do some 'Mmoart.com'-esque Artwork featuring some of the wonderful characters i have met on my travels in Paragon, and perhaps explore the origins of my alts in artwork as well.
To everyone that know me on Union and to the friends that are especially close (you know who you are <img src="/uk/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />, i will miss you terribly and look forward to seeing you when i return.
I will still be listening to everyones opinions on the forums and you never know may even post.
Take care for now Littleones!,
Its a goodbye for now... but not farewell.
See you Soon....x
All my Love.
Mother's love.

Sorry, I've only just seen this post!!
Nooooo! The city isn't the same without youSuch a wonderful character too
I know exactly what you mean about that initial feeling & that feeling being lost. I've just got back to the game after a 4 month break, largely, because of the same reason (& RL!). I wanted that feeling back when I 1st entered Atlas Park, saw the huge globe & the very welcoming Miss Lib standing right there to help measking my 1st 'newb' question 'How do I fly?'
Flying around at lvl14 for the 1st time, getting that cape was like being knighted
This may sound sad, but my heart was pounding when I saw this wonderful environment in a game!! The only other time this has happened in a game was Doom3 (but for other not so pleasant reasons!)
We've only chatted and teamed a few times, but you really stood out for me and I look forward to your return Mummy
Best wishes
@Knight Eye -
Half way on this badge, have tried organising this before, but to no avail!
I'll be there if there's still a spot going with Knight Eye -

I like art alot, and comic book artwork imspires me also, so i browse this section of the forum alot,i love most of the work posted, its amazing what can be done.
I just find, its vry rare you see a'pencil, paint, or ink etc coloured drawings around, I know photshop needs skill to be good at, but i find hand-coloured drawings alot more skillfull in my opinion, it would be great to see some more.
[/ QUOTE ]
I did a pencil sketch a while back, I did post it before, but it's here
There's also a few not so good doodles in my scraps section!
I enjoy the manual approach, as what I've done so far in Photoshop/OpenCanvas just takes so long without a tablet :P -
Great stuff, really like the whole composition

Ok just thought I'd post a couple of my other attempts.. let me know what you think
Female Hero Face
Mad Evil Destructo Bot
[/ QUOTE ]
You're improving at a massively fast rate
Female Hero Face - Really great expression, you've done the eyes, hair and nose very well. You have moved on a lot achieving this
Mad Evil Destructo Bot - Obviously practising foreshortening & again you have done very well with this. The shading is nice and soft too.
Look forward to more from you -

Wow, Thanks very much for your kind comments
Quite right, pencils are so rarely used nowadays, I've seen some amazing artwork done by others using pencils & it's great to go back to the manual stuff now & again.
Took a while to get the posing right. It was fun to do though -

It's a very good piece, there's something a little off about the perspective of her left arm though, I think that is probably what is to blame for the "stiff" appearance mentioned. Anti-aliasing on the lineart would've made it a lot stronger a piece too.
[/ QUOTE ]
ThanksI can see your point, although I don't really know how to change this now (i've flattened the file into a .jpg to save space!). I am completely new to computer art, most of my previous work was done manually, mostly landscapes. I'm sure I'll figure out how to get these programmes to work with me rather than against me eventually.
-
Thanks for that, I'm having a break from posting my art, lots of work to catch up on! Hopefully get back to it asap.

Nice texture look on the boots and face.
I love that light saber tough.

2 points in my opinon:
*The picture resolution: jagged lineart makes kittens cry
*Character pose a little stiff
Seriouly good stuff all round.
[/ QUOTE ]
Noooo the kittens again! Comment noted, agreed. I wish I'd saved it before I converted it into a *.jpeg, I could have saved it by adjusting the lineart opacity!! I'll have go around the all the lineart now to sort this. Anyway comment appreciated

Is it me or are you getting much better at this? ^^

Wasn't sure whether to post this really, but anyway.
