    blapping

[/ QUOTE ]I'd assume powersets with lots of KB are -bad- for blapping... Hoverbombing would be more useful for something like Energy Blast.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Heh i guess i shouldn't get TK Blast from primary

Maybe i will try to level up a blapper in future with different primary like Electric or Ice instead of Psy. It looks like a challange. Since my come back i am drawn thru the challanging builds somehow. For now i have two heroes i want to focus, MA/Inv scrapper and the Archery/Mental blaster i rolled instead of that blapper.
  2. Yuck! Tried a blapper last night 'till level 10. I had the same problem with dominators, too many attacks so i couldn't know where to place my powers for smoother use.

I bet i was a pain for the tanks teamed with me last night, i am sure i will be annoyed with that much KBs. So i decided blapping is out of my league.

Oh also one thing to note, i checked damage on Apostle for ranged attacks and melee ones, Thunder Strike does more damage than my ranged attacks (Power Bolt, Power Blast, Power Brust and Sniper). Highest damage attack he has is Havoc Punch. Not including Nova to those numbers tho'.
  3. Hang in Atlas for a bit and you will hear them shout in Broadcast.

To be honest i have little knowledge about active SGs in Union. Only SGs i interested in were my own SGs which i put my own heroes.
  4. I took Mutation on Psy-knight around level 36 iirc. Even on the best teams bad things can happen so i am very happy to have Mutation (not like Power of Phoenix on my illusion troller tho, i am looking forward to use it ). Also Mutation is very nice to have if someone sacrifice himself for Vengeance (which i also have). I took Fall out for a brief time but using a falling team mate that way made me feel dirty and respeced it out.

Oh i am also agree with Shannon about Union's sense of fashion.
  5. As a general rule, i avoid busy secondaries with Mind Control. I tried many secondaries with Mind (if memory serves except Storm and Sonic i tried them all).

Rad is the strongest option a Mind Troller can have. Bubbles and Sonic other possible easy to use ones. With Empathy or Thermal people want you to focus on secondary mostly (you can add Kinetics in here too i guess, because of the SB). My latest try was Mind/TA and i deleted him around level 14. After Rad, TA somewhat unimpressive. Also another thing to note, your mostly up AoE powers will be Mass Hypno and Terrify. I have doubts that will be enough to keep mobs in their place after TA's debuffs which are mostly have damage in them and make mobs run away (same applies for storm/freezing rain). So in the end i think TA or Storm will be better with other immob sets for much better effects.

If you want to focus on Mind (which has only 2 powers to spare in dire circumstance otherwise only 1) you can pick Bubbles or Sonic if you really don't want to roll another Rad.

For TFs, I am afraid Mind part is pretty weak versus AVs, not damagewise but as your biggest trick versus AVs is sleep you can't keep an AV on his/her place while your whole team is ganking on him/her. On the other hand, Mesmerize is awesome... Whenever things get wrong on STF while pulling 4 AVs one by one, usually i keep extra AV in his/her place with Mesmerize, Mass Hypno, Confuse, Mass Confuse circle. You can make sleep all AVs in that TFs with one hit Mesmerize, including big bad Lord Recluse himself or more feared Ghost Widow. As my main is Mind/Rad i also keep helping the team with Rad toggles. A bubbler or sonic troller can put AV in cage after making AV sleep too. Also people talk about putting pillars in cages which i never see in action and can't try yet as my only bubbler is still level 24.

That's my opinion about Mind Control and possible secondaries.

    Please reply!

I can understand most of non replies below level 14, as one can think majority of that players are on trial accounts. For the ones on higher levels i can think only very few excuses but this is the way some people choose to behave i guess.

I always send detailed tells for invites and try to reply all the tells send to me, even if they are for farming or filling requests. I guess this is not because i am very polite but because i always try to treat people the way i want to be treated.

Honestly even if we fill the whole forums with No blinds, send replies topics, people continue to do this. So in the end i think it is better to focus finer part of the community and continue to enjoy the game.

Is there any other ways than TF's?? They have a tendency to take many hours, and I do not usually have that many hours avaiable to play...

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Other than Task Forces there are few things you can do;

1- Try to join an active Super Group and team with members as much as you can
2- Try to form your own teams or send tell on going teams for invite. If you ask politely people don't mind to SK you i think.
3- I guess around level 35 people mostly do RWZ missions try to hang in there
4- Wait for double XP weekend but next one is too far away i guess (most possible time is Positron's birthday on June)

Even if a level 50 help you, duoing ain't better than soloing. Full teams means faster level gain.
  8. Knightly

    Ghosting.

I have a special ghosting character which i only use on TFs. I don't see ghosting necessary outside the Task forces and trials.

You can do mission with defeating every single moving creature in it that's for sure but mobs and the maps are as same as you will see in regular missions so why bother if we can available a way around it. I don't see it as cheating, you get less xp/drops from the mission so that counters your time gain.

As Shannon said those powers are there for a reason.
  9. [ QUOTE ]

To Knightly, since you obviously didn't intend to be helpful I would be grateful if you kept your superior attitude away from this thread until you have changed it. If you want to help you could make suggestions, like describing scenarios where a Mind 'troller would be more effective than a Plant 'troller.

To Shannon, what you are talking about is play style which varies from player to player and not one is any better than any other. Mine is closer to yours than you might think, but I want my toons to be effective as well. The knowledge that TK was gimped might be true, but it's not really any help for me.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Well if you think my attitude is superior, be my guest. If you don't bother to read other threads about mind control (which is also on the same page as your thread), can't understand difference between mind and plant control after playing one 'till level 41 that was the best answer i can give to you.

On level 41 you have all your primary and secondary powers available to you so there is little to tell you about Mind Control if you didn't power leveled in couple of hours to level 41. Also you were asking about only one power; Confusion. Plant trollers get their confusion very early, if you are that curious roll one and after a sewers run you can compare them yourself.

If you asked this question before level 41 maybe i could include more information as i really like to talk about Mind Control and exchanging tactics. To me you are just being lazy and don't bother read other threads or make a research about your sets.

Anyway if you think you need to know more about mind controlling here is links for you if you bother to read them.

  10. No problem, bro. It is usual thing with drunk men, they pass out when things start to get fun. As i always said, First "You" then the game. Put your names to replace "you".

I guess we all didn't in a good shape, instead of my habit of hanging around late on saturday night, this week i logged out as soon as we disbanded and headed for the bed. Still not in a top condition tho'. Let's hope i will feel better this weekend.

Anyway if my memory serves we are one mission away from finishing Croatoa arc. So hopefully we will get Mister Marvellous' shinny hat this time.
  11. Well i am bearing troubling news, mates. I am at the office today, called urgently. I have to get ready a book for publishing today so i don't know when i will get out of here.

If i can't make it have fun in Croatoa.

Oh and don't let Symp feel lonely. I know he will miss me
  12. If you can't tell the difference between two sets after playing a mind troller to level 41, don't bother with Mind Control set.

When you learn a bit about Mind Control is not only about confuse, you can try it again if you want.
  13. No problem, Mister.

As only members was online me and PenDragon. So no teaming done.
  14. For a blapper it will do you more good as you can slot it with KB sets, 4 of Kinetic Crash will give you KB. Nice thing is unlike Stun sets KB sets also increase damage so looks like a nice fit for Thunder Strike. If you can find also +Recharge proc from Force Feedback is a good one to slot in Thunder Strike.

Thunder Strike will allow you to focus more hitting mobs (like bosses in a small group) by hurling other low ones away. I usually use Air Superiority or other powers but on a blapper i think you will be more in melee than my blaster. I only have 5 powers from secondary tho. Fence is good for spamming on AVs, Charged Brawl is weak, Havok Punch is your heavy hitter, Thunder Strike is your crowd control power and Power sink is absolute awesomeness. I only don't have Shocking Grasp but for a blapper it is a must too i guess.

So if you want to build an Elec*3 blapper Thunder Strike will be good for you. Lightning Clap is less usefull than it in crowd control.
  15. Wow! I like that Ni and computer picture. That really awesome both lights and her pose.

For Ni vs Troll. I am passing the Troll, he looks like mini Hulk.

Like Sapphic i find Ni's face a bit weird in this face but i think it is not her mouth as she pointed but her eyes. She look a bit shocked... like a poor actress on action movies. Maybe a harsher look suits better to that scene. Other details look very well done, including her mouth which looks tastefull.
  16. [ QUOTE ]
So, the answer is pretty much "Not outside of soloing, no." from what I can tell... Ah well, thanks.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Also on some rare occasions it is usefull in teams too. For damage it is not that good but if you look it as a KB power it is usefull. It depends mostly your primary and how you build your hero actually.
  17. Hair styles look creepy. On the other hand i like the site.
    Interesting and funny.
  18. Ummm i think we look things very differently. Maybe i am the only one who tried to fit his hero into Flying Circus idea in both Flying and Circus way. Midnight Curse is an illusionist and more. He use old gypsy magic and gaining knowledge to reach feared gypsy curses. He's an illusionist on stage at nights and fortune teller at circus ground on mornings, he do hero stuff in between.

In the end as nearly half of the group (3 of you) determined to continue i will follow. For my idea, i still need to make arrangements and will talk with Mereman later if we can arrange it without interfering Flying Circus. More importantly if we can find people to join.
  19. LOL! I've just read our old regular teaming thread. Man i was changing heroes faster than snakes change their skins. Funny thing is i don't even remember most of them

    Okay now replying Mr. M:

Yeah i am with you about teaming and fun of it. Honestly this is our first team that going steady, most of them fall apart other than core group (Me, Jay, Mereman and Spirit). If you ask my personal desire i want to continue with a new team, more relaxed one where we let people free on every aspect of their characters. Not that Flying Circus is limiting but we started it as all flying team. I am trying to find a better way to tie our heroes together. Have some ideas but better keep them to myself for now.

For Flying Circus' future... well i could use Midnight Curse for high level TFs but he is the most boring hero i played so far. After PA and ST out there is very little left to do for me. I wait for one of you to get hurt or die to do somethings exciting. This weekend's Citadel TFs we only had one death iirc. Other than some team split moments there ain't much wounds to heal either. So in the end my future in Circus is tied to you, if you want to continue and do TFs i am cool with it. Let's face it tho, in this game there ain't much to do when you reach the level 50 other than TFs if you are a regular player. Badgers, PvPers or farmers have too many things to do even when they are level 50. Rolling a new alt is best option for most of us.

So no worries about future, as long as you, me and others still in game, we will continue teaming. Whatever our team named or what server/side we play.
  20. There is a question i have in my head since last meeting. Mr. M asked what do we think we will do after we reach level 50?

At that moment i was furious, now my anger is soothing. I started to team again, thanks to good team i had last night i think i started to see things different.

Anyway what do you think about it? After reaching level 50 what shall we do? Starting another regular team, Mereman my mate? Shall we roll new alts for Flying Circus?

What Herczeg did in base is amazing, i can't find strength or will to make a base look like that. That alone deserve to continue one way or another.

Also there are some questions, do we need teleporters? As i am not a badger i don't know exact location of explorer badges other than Galaxy. If you want teleporters i can try to gather as much as i can tho, especially blind spots like Dark Astoria, Boomtown, Brickstown or Crey's Folly.

Only thing i can say about after level 50 is we can do task forces... Not very creative but this is what i do.
  21. Knightly

    Reworked TP pool

I think most of us lived that dissapointment...

I like teleport in its current state. Only thing worrying about TP is lag, especially around WW's.
  22. Heh this is why all my Poser models were naked

I am not as patient as Ravenswing, all his work needs great determination and i can only bow before it.

That boots really look good by the way.

    plant/rad help

Yup, Carnifax is right. You need Acc enhancements in LR as unlike your other two it needs a hit check.

Other slotings are too much different from my regular builds but they will work.
