You fool! Don't you realise that the merging of meals will be percieved as the first sign of a famine? Banks will lose confidence in farmers' future credit rating and stop lending them money, the farmers will be unable to raise money for new machines or necessary repairs to old ones, tractors will be left rusting in the fields, crops will be wiltering on their stalks (for those crops that have stalks, other crops will wilter in similar, but not identical, manners), the farmer will go personal bankrupt, there will be no food harvested, with no food harvested bakers, grocers, jam and preserve factories will collapse, unenmployment will skyrocket, the stores will be empty of food, people will starve, the economy will implode, there will be war, conquest, pestilence and famine. The government will fall, anarchy will reign, armed bands of Australian hoodlums will roam the countryside searching for the last, dwindling hoards of petrol. But that's not all -- it will get so bad that FloatingFatMan will have to change his name to FlitteringThinBloke. Do you want that on your conscience?
[/ QUOTE ]Sounds like the economic forcast I hear on the news every morning. -
Win!
Yes please, or... [u]Make it possible for non-creditcard users to buy extra slots!!!!!!![u] -
WAR is in trouble. It's little more than a series of battle grounds cobbled onto a PvE game that's as linear as Dungeon Siege.
-
Afraid so Flitz. Apparently someone was too lazy to use the search function and actually read old threads.

If I lost my character and SG names, I'd leave. If they can't come up with a decent way round the naming and base and group issues, then no thanks to a server merge.
Also, people who have characters on each server. Imagine someone who has all their slots filled out, there's no way for them to get 48 characters (Or if they have brought character transfers, more) on one server, so they'll lose out.
[/ QUOTE ]
This.
A server merger without the ability to preserve everything a player has worked on would be the fastest way to drive away current players and probably cause an unrecoverable level of bad press for EU-CoX. -
Congrats Coin you've had your Pyra moment!
-
I have Hover 3 slotted for flight speed on four of my toons. It's brilliant, especially on the blasters which get to cruise around like helicopter gunships raining all kinds of hurt on mobs from outside of melee range.
-
Now we have a much better pic' of the pieces I'm going to shift my opinion from "Reserved Doubt" to "Wooh Yeah! ME WANT!!!"
-
The DC's were happening in Denmark as well so it's not your ISP. The Server status page was showing all 5 EU servers as being down for the 1-2mins each time I got dropped to the login screen. That would suggest to me that the problem was alot closer to the servers, both geographically and electronically.
-
Agreed. As all the servers were going down it's probably a connection issue close to the servers.
Didn't something similar happen earlier in the year? -
Maybe Scourge?
'Ruptor sounds like a medical condition. -

Antiheroes became popular in the 90s.
[/ QUOTE ]
But even the mainstay heroes started using guns.
[/ QUOTE ]
Some of the mainstay heroes became antiheroes.
[/ QUOTE ]However anti-heroes have been around alot longer than the 90s. Clint Eastwood made a career from playing anti-heroes. The gritty re-invention of alot of comicbook characters that occurred in the late 80s only brought it to the fore.
Images of Batman machinegunning nazis while Robin enthusiastically passes more ammo predate the paradigm shift largely triggered by the publishing of Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns in 1986. -
As this costume set is intended as part of the Mac release it won't be out until then. I wouldn't expect it to be available for purchase before then.

What I really want is a scanner of some sort to help me find the last mob on the map. You know. The one that rammed itself into some improbably small, dark niche behind a sign saying "Beware of the leopard." (I'm not bitter!)
[/ QUOTE ]Ever thought of going into advertising?
As for the OP suggestion... /signed
Some sort of looped sound eg. laughter from the guards or whimpering from the hostage would be good. -
There's also the matter of marketing publicity (my personal bugbear with CoX). WoW banner ads appear on almost every MMO related website. I think only EvE can possibly claim to match them in raw coverage. Add to that the publicity boost gained from media frenzy on releasing a new box expansion and you have something that is very hard not to have heard of.
The odd CoX advert opposite the fan news page in The Amazing Spiderman or a handful of interviews every five months isn't even trying to compete. -
Or maybe it's because potential players looking for more information on CoX come to the forums and see DOOM! posts like the OPs and think, "This game is failing I'll go to WoW instead."
Bravo The_Phantoms! You're making things worse! -

It's really quite astonishing isn't it? Shame about the narf to forms switching in combat, but I can live with that for the sheer "What the f...!?" we now have!
[/ QUOTE ]I didn't notice any change to toggling forms during play but I'm still using rather simple strategies.
It was funny (and somewhat embarrasing) when the Tank I was teamed with would get to a mob only to have them blasted to bits around him before he could get more than a couple of hits in.
I'm left asking, "Did I do that?"
Then I get, "I'll just stand in the corner while you clear the mission." from the tank.

Last night I finally got around to seeing how i13 has changed things for my PB. I have to say I'm impressed, her damage ouput has improved dramatically and the ability to shift to Dwarf when mezzed really has made her into something of a blitzer.

Like I said earlier, it looks like you did all the stand alone missions. Story Arcs get locked in immediately once the first mission is accepted, they don't change status later on. -
Re-built your base yet? Nope
Made a Captain America Clone yet? Nope, although I do have a shield scrapper

Done a dual build yet? Yes, on my Empath

Decide to not play a character just for the day job yet? Nope -
Take a look at the Widows, I think you'll find they have them.

What are the options for this guess its either;
Slog through grey mishes.
Invite a low level hero and exemp.
Drop the mishes one by one as I can.
[/ QUOTE ]That pretty much sums up your options. Just blitzing through them as greys would be the fastest route. If you have a friend with a toon in the level range of the missions then you could do the exemp thing and get some inf/prestige out of it.
Doing the autocomplete thing will take ages though. -
Ah! That explains a great many things. Thanks for the explanation.
