  1. Thanks for the very helpful information, Leandro!
  2. Here are two must-see videos by the amazing Leandro:

The toons of Justice Server (first draft):

    Just about everyone:

  3. One other way to get all your alts together is to save your costumes at Icon then remake your toons as NPCs in AE simply by loading those costumes. Then you can actually get all your toons together to fight as a team against whatever you want and vid cap that.
  4. Copland's Fanfare for the Common Man or Strauss' Thus Sprach Zarathustra.
  5. Okay, this is a first try. I haven't quite got the hang of it yet, but here's a vid for Rikti War Zone:

  6. What do people think of a video capturing project for City of Heroes so we have something with which to remember the game? In the time left, we could video capture (preferably in the highest quality you can manage) zone fly overs, major story arc and task force events, big AV fights, giant monster fights, meaningful trial moments, and cut scenes and post them to Youtube or Vimeo. If you're interested, post a link to your vid in this thread.
  7. I can't think of one, and that points to just how unique this game is/was.
  8. If somehow we could keep CoH just on our own computer with access to our characters even if that had to be isolated to one server's worth of toons and even if we could only solo everything.
  9. I've seen the prices drop on some of the popular purples, but there are still some here and there going for a lot if you look carefully enough. I put up a bunch of purples for sale on Friday night and when I checked two toons on Saturday, one had made 1.5 billion in sales on 6 purples and another 1.3 billion in sales on 5 purples. That's about 255 million for each purple sold after buying them for 170 million on average with about one conversion on average (I can flip a lot with no conversion at all).
  10. Let me add my kudos to you, Organica. I really enjoyed this thread. And the Job Creator! That was hilarious!
  11. I just want to quote this entire thread and say ditto. Please update AE with all the new game content from power sets to NPCs to villain groups!
  12. In your opinion, among Fire Blast/Ice Manipulation Blasters, Fire Control/Icy Assault Dominators, and Fire Blast/Cold Domination Corruptors, which one will get from level 1 to 50 the fastest doing equal amounts of soloing and teaming?

Secondly, in your personal opinion, which one is the most fun to play?
  13. Name your 10 favorite story arcs, trials, and task forces in City of Heroes. Mine in roughly preference order:

    1. Eden (Trial)
    2. The MegaMech Cometh (TF)
    3. The Saga of Lanaru (TF)
    4. A Hero's Hero (SA)
    5. Abandoned Sewers (Trial)
    6. Statesman's Task Force (TF)
    7. A Faultline in the Sands of Time (SA)
    8. Envoy of Shadows (SA)
    9. The Fall of the Clockwork King (TF)
    10. The Terra Conspiracy (SA)

Honorable mentions: The Eternal Nemesis (SA), Flux the Outcast (SA), Praetorian War (SA), Project: World Wide Red (SA), To Save a Soul (SA), The Vahzilok Plague (SA)

    Yes, I'm pretty old school.
  14. Among the choices, I like the costumes feature the best because it gives so much variety (although I could always use more). A close second is mob groups, but that sentiment really goes to archvillains and giant monsters, not your everyday mobs.

In last place would be badges. I probably wouldn't care of badges weren't in the game at all if they didn't grant accolade powers, which I think are cool.

Personally, the story line has rarely been very interesting to me, and it rarely affects how you actually play the game. Reading the story line is like reading a book, not like playing a video game. More "cut scenes," preferably those that just happen on the screen (I guess technically then they would not be "cut" scenes) with a villain monologuing at you would be great.
  15. [ QUOTE ]
I hear illusionists can tank pretty well, but I'm not sure how they do it without perma-PA.

    [/ QUOTE ]

With 3 recharge SOs, I can usually have PA up by the next fight unless the previous one took 5 seconds due to a blaster nova. My illusionist controller is usually team recruiter when I play, and I have to admit I only look for a tank when I can't find a scrapper. As long as I have a defender, who my best friend is, to keep the scrapper alive, the scrapper is much more useful. I say this with my only level 50 being a tank who I love very much.

As a compromise, I like the idea of linking gauntlet with hold magnitude when it comes to AVs except when the AVs can't be held, they should be tauntable by gauntlet and when they can be held, they should not be tauntable by gauntlet.

Tankers should also get their damage increased (maybe 15%) in compensation for losing gauntlet against AVs.
