Great story Jon, almost tolkienesque in it's intricacies and yet subtle in it's texture.....er and i like the way all the words made sense too.

I've read that range enhancements do increase the firing range of lightning storm. I've never really seen the benefit of it though as it easily covers freezing rain, and thats where you want your mobs. Also it can only take 6 slots [img]/uk/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img] 3 of them are reserved for damage, 2 for recharge and one for end on my stormy so i haven't tested it.

I think it might be based on the casters HP rather than the recipient? Either way it's still very confusing...why doesn't it boost a corrupters HP by 60% if it does a brutes? I'm certainly keeping the power but i'm not making it a slotting priority anymore.

Ok i'm pretty sure this has been asked before, but i actually did a little testing of this power earlier on a friends corrupter and brute and was left somewhat confused.

I tested it by checking HP total before and after application with 0 and 3 heal SOs in the power (all -1 SOs as i'm lvl 31).

Results;

Corrupter;

0 Heals slotted

Before; 672 HPs
After; 1005 HPs

3 Heals slotted

Before; 672 HPs
After; 1008 HPs

Brute;

0 Heals slotted

Before; 1020 HPs
After; 1353 HPs

3 Heals Slotted

Before; 1020 HPs
After; 1646 HPs

Ok so on the corrupter i got a 50% HP increase regardless of SOs slotted while the brute went from about a 30% increase to a 60% HP increase with 3 SO heals slotted.

Also none of this had any effect on the value of aid self or siphon life etc. I know it's not a heal but surely increasing the number of HPs would have a correspondent effect on the value of a self-HP %age based self heal?

So whats going on here? Is it to do with some HP cap or what? Is it worth slotting Heal SOs in this power?

Aye just tested it myself and elec cages prevents all kd/back, which rules it out for me. web envelope looks good though.

Actually was thinking that any kind of knockdown/back would be ok for the test as i dont have footstomp. If it prevents kb then air supe also shouldn't work with it. I have a friend with a nrg/stone tank who i think has elec fences, i'll see if i can test it and let you know.

Also, if someone could try ball lightning with some decent fury built, without any other AoE damage powers going that would be good. At the moment it's looking like i might just be better off footstomping and ST attacking and leaving ball lightning

I do have a friend with a 39 SS brute though that we could test it with?

Also anyone tried a fully slotted ball lightning? Going by the numbers it looks very weak...but i suppose with fury...?

Ok having a great time lvling my SS/Elec brute atm, but choices for patron powers are proving difficult. Obviously i will be taking footstomp and using it liberally and i like the great damage mitigation it offers by knockdown.

I had originally planned to take Scirroco and pick up elec fences, but does it work like over AoE immobs, preventing knockdown for 10 seconds? If so this might be counterproductive to footstomp. Also, whats the damage like on ball lightning?

Does Black scorpions aoe immob/slow thing stop knockdown too?

The rez part is definately auto-hit but i was under the impression that the disorient/debuff part needed a tohit check? Really not sure as i just run with one recharge.

I think i may have detected a small caveat in your masterplan ...Kitty Doesn't have moonbeam.

Would siphon power work as well? If not i'm afraid we may be slightly screwed. I know Darkora has moonbeam btw if that helps, and no, he can't take my place

You can only slot interrupt reduction in powers that are interruptible...twilight grasp isn't. Recharge reduction if anything. I go with 3 acc, 2 heal, 1 recharge.

As for what it does, it just reduced the interruptible time. For example, 2 int redux in aid self means it can work between ticks of DoT. The total animation time is the same though...so if it takes 3 seconds to animate, it will still be that long before you can trigger another power, you will just be able to move around quicker after firing it.

Ok i am not a happy Kitty. I have atm no internet connection at home because of a fault on the line. After waiting for a full 40 mintutes on hold to BT broadband they are "investigating"...which will take 48 hours And that's just to get the bloody test results. Needless to say i shall be back as soon as i can, and until i do expect some Bt peoples ears to bleed.
