great guide, but the optimized 12 v 12 is in error. It isn't currently possible to make a mixed team of heroes and villians greater than 8 v 8. The only way beyond this is a supergroup match, and there are no supergroups that can contain both heroes and villians.

What formula are you talking about? The quote above describes a design methodology for power sets, not builds. Saying that enforces homogeneity is like saying that the current system enforces homogeneity because everyone is currently forced to be one of twelve archetypes.

if the heroes moved back 20 feet they wouldn't get droned.

if a few of them would switch over to there villians, the zone would probably be more fighting. I know it seems an odd concept to some but switching over to the underpopulated side can make the zones more fun

hell on the occasions I'm in the zones if it is lopsided I'll switch sides to try and even it up.

How would a controller other than /rad halt an AV's regen?

And not that I've actually tried with an AV, but if 4 purples makes it almost impossible for an EB to hit me, I think they'd work well for an AV. Of course, you'd need lots of purples which means lots of inspiration space which means higher levels...

...this is why I stick to soloing EBs. A tray full of 20 purples and that's all I need.

a /kin spamming transfusion can do it as well, i've seen some fire/kin's solo AV's from time to time, not exactly the fastest thing or most exciting thing in the world to watch but it can be done.

take it for what you will, but an all MM (that is their VG concept) VG beat it without shivans or nukes on Infinity.
