  1. Mutant CCEs

It's actually ccpodperson (and ninja leap is 'ccninjajump'). I'm pretty certain there's no bugs (at least, common ones) with any of the CCEs, beyond some unexpected names (which aren't bugs).
  2. Quite an unusual question for the CoH boards, but never the less...

Old, crufty, deprecated, and unrecommended HTML method:
    Quote:
    <body background="/path/to/image.png">
(you'd modify the <body> tag in your original page)

I'd show a CSS version, but these boards fail and redirect me to ncsoft.com every time I attempt to include it... just check it out here or any other from a number of google hits.

If you're still having a problem, it'd help if you'd be more specific.

You can't, they're randomly generated by taking random combinations of items (basically, fill in the blanks).

(okay, technically there's a finite amount of combinations... but it's still silly to try)

I know that fire/kin controllers and fire/shield scrappers are considered to be very powerful when they have millions/billions of inf worth of IOs thrown onto their skills.
Fire/Kins can be effective farmers with SOs.

Also, what level will I have to get this guy to before he will be able to farm decent inf?
For inf, you need to be 50 to get the most from farming it (it's a sliding scale up to 49, then doubles at 50). But, you can get a lot of money from the random drops along the way, especially if you use your merits and tickets wisely.

You really don't need to farm inf in this game. There's no content in this game that you need IOs to perform well. Also, if you want the maximum amount of money, there's no better way than using the market (what's-his-name has a thread in his signature where with only a minor amount of play time, he was able to go from 0 inf to one billion inf in just a week).

There's a few missions in the game that are flat out impossible to solo... and I don't mean because of the challenge, but because they require you to click multiple glowies at once (IIRC, there's less than 5 of those total, maybe as low as 2).

I'll probably have to team up for TFs and stuff though.
At the very least, you need a team to start them. At least a few of them are soloable, but many aren't.

4,9,14,19,etc, as 5, 10, etc are when the next batch unlock.

I went with Electric/Willpower, are there any powers that are bad? I was originally thinking of skipping the clap one, but it seems like a great mitigation tool, especially since WP is set and forget.
The clap annoys a lot of people, but solo it's good mitigation, AND if you position yourself correctly, you can prevent it from spreading the enemies (i.e. if they're circled around you, jump out of the spawn to one side then use it, then move back... or slap 'em into a wall/corner). There's not really any stinker powers in either set, although some are less useful than others.

Good luck! Try not to get eaten by a grue!
  7. Yeah, unfortunately most of my characters have different layouts, and I didn't know about that command until much more recently

(I really should create a standardized layout that's only slightly modified for each character...)

If they cause a reduction in prices, you don't need as much money, and they're not going to turn the market into the same thing as a standard store where there's infinite supply.

    Quote:
then again they probably have more important things than to sit creating stacks of 10 of them over and over so I might be able to wait them out.
You think if they're seeding the market, they're doing it manually? If they're going to seed it, it'll be completely automated and will likely only increase supplies by a small amount on items the Devs view as being too expensive or lacking in supply.
  9. Tell that to Infernal and Dark Defenders.

I really don't want to delete CoX from my harddrive and restore.
Just an FYI, the current UI layout is stored on the server side, so doing this wouldn't have helped anyways

(which totally sucks if you use two computers with drastically different resolutions and aspect ratios)
  11. I don't think Face/eye customization is that huge of a priority because this game is played 99% of the time with you unable to see your face/eyes or most other people's, not to mention that face customization is pretty much the only thing 99% of the other games out there have (besides height/build and a couple other minor things) without impacting your performance (or paying a premium, like in Aion where you need two sets of armor, one with the stats, and one with the look, with only one resulting from the modification process).
  12. They've been slowly improving all the various subsystems in the game, so it's really not out of the question that we could eventually get better 'faces' without a flat out rewrite of the whole engine (ala CoH2). They'd have to do it in a way that'd leave the current faces in place (i'd see having a choice of 'pre-made' and 'custom' faces).

Nuke the entire site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

Yeah, the only way to be sure you've cleaned the system (well, 99.9999%... they could still infect the BIOS and other flashable firmware, but that's incredibly rare) is to completely wipe the system and do a fresh install, although that takes some effort to properly backup anything you want to keep, then do a new install, including all the software (plus, lots of people lack the technical skills).
  14. It could be a rendering glitch only on your end. Do other people also not see your arm, or do they see it?

    Capes and Auras

You can't auto-complete those types of missions (and besides, on hero side it's three missions long, although they're fairly short). Auto-complete is meant to be used only for buggy missions. I'd say just do it, it should be fairly quick and easy.

(and Abandon is supposed to work that way)

That means it's most likely been randomly generated file name, and that's generally only used by malware to hide themselves from when people do a google search for the name. And with a name like that, it looks highly suspicious to begin with (not to mention that 'everyflv' comes up with no decent Google results). Your system is most likely infected with at least one nasty, probably more (where there's one, there's many).

It doesn't help that he's running Symantec AntiVirus, which is legendary for consuming massive amounts of system resources, and as well as being horribly ineffective at catching anything. I'd recommend uninstalling Symantec AntiVirus (hopefully you don't have to go to their website anymore to download the clearner due to Symantec wanting to leave junk around on your system), and installing some other antivirus software (I personally like Avast! and Microsoft's Security Essentials).

    A Question

I facepalm hard when I'm on a Controller, Defender, or Corruptor heavy team that has a Tanker/Brute and someone pipes in and demands a 'healer' (or worse, the leader)... when we're running generic newspaper/radio missions on a moderate difficulty.
  18. When someone -Reps you, the amount of rep you lose is variable based on their rep, it's not a constant value.

It was extremely common on older games. The oddities will also vary from brand to brand (less so from card to card by the same company or driver revision, though it does happen).

true if it reduces the resolution of the target monitor it will also reduce the resolution of the second one while it's running... but if you've set the games resolution to the monitors natural resolution it won't have any effect.
Which is the exact problem the OP is trying to solve, and due to the way most games are coded & tested (generally assuming only a single monitor), they don't really care much what they do to the second monitor, so you're often stuck with that situation.

I didn't say it spans both, just that you'll get really odd behavior. A lot of games, when they go into full screen mode, will shut off the second monitor unintentionally, as most are written without being tested with a two monitor configuration, or have extremely limited testing on multimonitor setup, that assume a specific configuration and no others.

  22. Audacity, as well as a huge number of other programs, support converting various audio formats into Ogg Vorbis.
  23. The problem is that most applications, when they try to go full screen, assume you have only one display. Really, your best option would be to simply use windowed mode and maximize the application on the first monitor.

The supplies in bases is going to be relatively minor (and mostly forgotten), and those on toons are unlikely to be unslotted unless the toon is intentionally being gutted. They're really not all that worth considering.
