first guide i wrote.

[/ QUOTE ]

How is that a guide? Its just a posted build. No advice on why to took what you took. Same for slotting. Need s a lot more work.

[/ QUOTE ]

copy and paste the code into mids hero builder, the lastest v. 1.4 .the attacks are maxed out for the most amount of dmg, acc, end redux, and rechrge. its called frakenslotting your powers to get the most out of your powers instead of being concerned with set bonus's. DM/SR is a very tight build. without the end redux for DM, i would have had to gotten stamina, taking hurdle/swift, and health (not as useful since for SR, the point is you are not gonna be hit as often). so basically i would have to take out 3 of my powers just to get stamina. without the recharge, there would be no way to build a buzzsaw attack (fast hitting attacks w/no downtime). whats not to understand?

[/ QUOTE ]

Still, it's a posted build, far, far from a guide. Have you ever read one? They explain power and give advice and stuff. You could as well post your build in the scrapper forums.

Using Surveillance here are the Note how my Surveillance only took out from Base Defense but none of the typed values like it normally does. Also Surveillance did not subtract any Resistance from it, proving they are completely immune to Resistance debuffs as well.

[/ QUOTE ]

Do the Nictus enjoy the Purple Triangles? Do they have any Status Effect Resistance ? If not, it seems a single target sleep could seriously trivialize the encounter.

[/ QUOTE ]
Purple Triangles don't protect against Sleep or Immobilize

[/ QUOTE ]

Anyhow when I tried the TF on my fire kin I spammed fire cages hoping it'd make it easier... Only Rom was affected.
3. Very nice guide, hope you'll make Axe/Mace versions.

BTW I'd say each of these builds (not the purple ones) would cost you about 700 mil - 1 billion

4) Your Global is still "BobSmith", and you can now change your Global Handle back to "Bob" (if it's available) or change it to something more exciting...like "Super Bob".

Awesome suggestion, changing to Super Kioshi brb
5. I did it again today on my first 50 with my Brazilian coalition (seond succes to make up for the 4 failures before, yay). 1:55 was the time as opposed to 3 hours on my first successful attempt, seemed so damn easy this time! We barely died in the final fight. I have to say the stone tanker being able 3 nictus+Rom made it a lot easier while we pounded on the other nictus. I just had to keep AB and Fort on the stoner occasionally when I saw his health bar move.

But we had a very optimized team with two tanks and I had to babysit the WP tank a lot even against one nictus.

Team:
Me (Mind/Emp troller)
Stone/Nrg Tank
Fire/Fire Blaster
Elec/Dev Blaster (new Gun Drone looks hella cool but he said it wasn't too effective)
WP/SS Tanker
Fire/Rad Corr
Fire/Kin Troller
TA/A Def
6. Also, what kind of damage do nictus put out? Is it untyped for position? I know it's supposed to be neg energy but two things happened in my one successful run that made me wonder:

1) FF def goes to try to distract the AV with PFF - nictus use Mire and the summoned attack him - dead in 2 seconds.

2) SR scrapper with maxed defs tries to do the same thing - owned by Mire after 3 applications of it, meaning it never missed him.
7. I finally made it on the 5th try, I'll have nightmares with this TF.

Had to call in the repeat offenders forum for people to do it (not that they're all l33t like some say or are lead to believe, I just know they are competent players and won't quit easily like lots of PuGs) and even then the last battle took 1:30 hour (my other 4 attempts failed after 40 mins or so in the last encounter).

I still think this damn thing is way too unbalanced. Easy as pie all the way, the whole armies thing gives it an epic feel but each team member can aggro 8 enemies and still make it, those EBs go down easier than a lot of normal bosses in the game. Probably one of the easiest rides around. Then ZOMGWTFBBQ!!!one111!!! last battle, unlike STF/RSF/LGTF in which the difficulty rises along the way and you know your team will or will not be able to overcome it as it goes by.

Basically we had 2 brutes, one just fooled around with the AV until the rest could pull one nictus off him, blaster did a great job at that since the other brute kept dying and eventually quit. Rinse and repeat. Other than that a dark/dark def, a FF def and damage dealers (my dom, a blaster, lolstalker, scrapper). The damage output was great but each nictus took forever and a day to die.

This TF is so nice till the end battle but I will only be doing it on 2 other toons (my fire kin would look neato with the armor and my mind/emp is my badge toon). Other than that I"ll stay away from Cimerora till this thing gets tweaked. This is the hardest and most frustrating thing I ever faced in the game. Hey everyone dies 30 times in the last room of Lady Grey with 1 thousand rikti? No problem everyone's having fun. RSF? Never failed one, only did it 4 times, 2 without 'optimal' teams (no stone brute, i was the only dom in all 4 so I never did it with a mind dom), and I didn't even die in the last 2 times (last RSF for me took 1:05 hour). STF is cake compared to this one for me, although I still find it more challenging than the RSF, but nothing really 'OMG frustration'. I must've done the STF about 20 times and failed twice, only because people quit in the middle of some mission before the final one.

Domination is only mag 5 kb protection...

[/ QUOTE ]

10000% kb resist too like any Tanker (except fire and dark armor).
9. This should be in guides btw.

And I have no idea why Wavicle is posting his point of view all the time with something that has nothing to do with this guide, one post would be enough for that. Guess what on big teams where you get more 'domination' on the bar than solo, I can just jump, press the key for snipe 5 or so times and boom, dom in 3 seconds.
10. Great guide m3z!

Phase (if you have a build with aim or BU and feel like you wanna be trixxy) I'd only suggest phase if you aren't going the mu patron root.

[/ QUOTE ]

Could you clarify that? I was thinking about changing my ice/psi from medicine to phase but what does the mu patron have to do with it? I had the pet for 1 week (ice/psi) and didn't really notice it healing me or anything reliable. I know phase might be a waste on arena for my build since the timer is fast and I can't BU nor Aim someone who gets at me.

But I don't get the Mu patron part, I actually only have charged armor and will have powersink again but fist I wanna achieve permadom (60% almost there).

Thanks!

For no targeting reticle:
/bind lshift+lbutton "l Accessing droid mainframe$$powexec_name Battle Drones"

[/ QUOTE ]
Not too great - everytime I click my left mouse button - guess what. I say my little quote every single time. Guess this one is outta the question right now.
Thank you very much for pointing out my error - I never woulda guessed at that one, and never thought to recheck the beginning of this thread - plus, it doesn't help when you mis-read something!

[/ QUOTE ]

That's weird. did you mess with the lbutton bind before? Might try /unbind lbutton to 'free it up'. I know once I messed up my teleport bind because I typed like 'bind lshft+lbutton powexecname Teleport" (notice, I mispelled shift) so I'd teleport with any single click.

BTW I just tested this bind on my Zombies MM. All I did was copy the one I posted:

/bind lshift+lbutton "l Accessing droid mainframe$$powexec_name Zombie Horde"

And I even set up another for the second pet:

/bind lcontrol+lbutton "l Accessing droid mainframe$$powexec_name Grave Knight"

I could summon them and say 'accessing droid mainframe' (not to fitting but hey it's a test) when clicking control+click or shift+click and when I clicked my left button alone nothing happened, my MM wouldn't say anything. Maybe /unbind lbutton will solve it.

I use the way I posted right above your post all the time, and it works perfectly.

[/ QUOTE ]

Well anyhow I use for one of my channels:

/bind numpad8 beginchat /send "VirtueUnited" [$name $level $archetype]:

or

/bind numpad8 beginchat /send "VirtueUnited"

(always with a space at the end)

[/ QUOTE ]

Which is exactly what I use but with a different target key and channel name =)

I know, I just posted this because Solarsentai's bind seemed weird to me.
13. I haz a IO build too, shouldn't break the bank for a 50 (no uniques), emphasis on hit points, accuracy and regen (don't ask about the last power I put it there for the lulz and I always wanted to have it in some toon):

it's powexecname, not powerexecname

So it should be:

/bind <key> "l Accessing droid mainframe$$powexec_name Battle Drones"

The underscores are optional. I always use 'l' but I guess 'local' works too.

16. Excellent work! Fav'ed.

Feedback: I'm not a 21-month vet but why are all the single-shoulder capes shown in their short version? IIRC I saw people wearing long ones.
17. Tried to adapt this to my Fire/Dev build without breaking the bank (no numina/miracle uiniques and no LoTGs), would I cap my HP with this? And if yes, do I need all the accolades to to that? (And Auto Turret is in just b/c it's changed in Test)

This thread is solely for discussions regarding claw animation changes. From the Issue 7 Training Room Patch Notes:

"The Claws Power sets for both Scrappers and Stalkers have new animations for the powers Swipe and Strike. The animation for Slash has been replaced with the old Strike animation in order to better match the cast, recharge and damage values."

All off topic posts will be removed. Please do not post any feedback before testing out this new feature.

[/ QUOTE ]

Aw i liked the way the animations were before. The current live slash is the best animation for the power IMO. Not sure what strike and swipe were changed to but i know swipe is useless anyways so dont really care on that. I felt strike was fine as well but we'll see what its new one is like. I do know not only was the current live slash fine, but the strike animation for it makes no sense whatsoever. Its a slash, how is stabbing a guy in the gut making sense for a power named slash?????

You realize that you're quoting issue SEVEN patch notes right?

19. Well since this is the only Mind/Storm guide I saw (and no builds were posted) I'd like some feedback on this build I made. She's a lowbie atm but I plan on PvP'ing and remain effective in PvE with her, so any feedback would be welcome, as well as criticizing the order I picked my powers . I put some KB enhancers on some powers thinking about the incoming nerf to acrobatics, besides trying not to make a bank-breaker build (I'm sure that when I hit 50 I may be able to afford at least a confuse purple set but didn't put it for now).

Lunge isn't a level 2 power anymore it seems. I got slash at level 2.

[/ QUOTE ]

You got Strike at 2. Lunge is at 12 with Spin.

BTW I got a pretty good attack chain with Follow Up, Strike and Lunge as well as a ranged one with Poison Dart and Dart Burst. So I disagree a bit on Dark Burst's rating, worth 3.5 stars to me at least.
21. Impressive. Strike does double damage of Claws Scrapper's Strike and Spin 50% more. Very nice guide.

Avatar help?

The first one I had I fount at this site.

You can google for images for things like ffx avatar (ffx = final fantasy X, that's how I found this one).

Then you need to resize it to 80x80 (crop the image you want first if it's a part of a large image), I'd recommend the free program irfanview for this.

Then as others said, upload to photobucket. Photobucket itself has a resizing feature but I found irfanview to have best results since you can sharpen the image and apply some visual effects.
23. Nice upgrade, I based my claws/sr scrapper on your old guide, she's only level 30sh because I've been playing villains too much. Also provides an easy way to achieve 'perma Elude'.

Not to nitpick on it but if I didn't have access to Mid's hero designer I'd like to see the Damage index for Follow Up and Spin, as well as the buffs Follow Up gives you.

I know you didn't mention procs (maybe because there are so many you could fit) but Focus and Shockwave both take the lovely Force Feedback: chance for +rech IO so you can have a ZOMG defense build with very nice recharge

And your avatar is full of win
24. I have to say I dislike trash talking a lot.

I was being pwned solo on my pve Ice/Psi dom by a TA/A def with Phase (don't laugh) who held me and slowed me so his BS/SR scrapper friend came to kill me. That's fine by me, I'm new to PvP, learning the ropes, etc. Managed to get the def a few times.

Then a Brute and a Therm joined me, and we started doing well. The two then started complaining how 'unfair' it was that we had a therm. I didn't complain they were killing me when I was solo before, but I though 'Nvm, let them cry and all'

A bit later (RV was quiet) the Brute and the scrapper decides to duel so me, the def and a fire/kin who showed up started to watch it. Then some Spines scrapper appears and kills me and the therm (we were chatting with the other heroes and all). Ok no problem, it's a zone after all.

But the Brute said 'aw man you interrupted our duel' and the Spines guy replied with a lot of trash (he could've just said 'dude this is a zone, duel in the arena' but no, it was 'lol @ duel n00bs go to arena lrn2play') and of course things went downhill from there. I kept quiet because I didn't want in this kinda stuff but it bothered me a bit.

While on my first villain arena kickball (and only so far), I was dying more than the other people on my team and I got a lot of tells after the matches - not saying 'lrn2play', but giving me tips, saying I didn't go as bad as them in their 1st time, asking me if I had any questions, if I had fun.

I'm all for making fun of people I know, even if only in-game, but being trash talked by a lot of people I never even chatted in my life bothers me. If I get owned by a game friend and he calls me a n00b I reply nasty stuff to him because I know neither of us are getting offended by it.

From what I've seen in all the posts in which people got angry in pve due to some team/teammate attitudes, I assume most people would be equally as annoyed by trash talking. Since I really don't like it (not that I actually get angry at the internets anymore) I even abandoned teams I was on my hero because they were talking too much trash to the vills (I'm yet to see villains being too rude on the zones but as I said I haven't pvp'ed a lot - Hell once on my Mind/Emp I said 'aww no fair, I get hunted by everyone cause I'm an Emp' and a vill said 'Roll another hero, you might have more fun, Emps are usually our first targets when we see them, a good starting pvp build is a fire/em blaster').

Yeah I tend not to take it too seriously, it's only a game after all, I didn't get angry with being ganked while watching a duel, but I can see how something like this discourages people in PvP. Nobody called me names and all because I was never impolite in the zones, but I'd be a bit annoyed if I was called a n00b lrn2play just because I got myself killed in some situations I know I shouldn't have.
