Has anyone dropped 'shadow punch' for 'dark blast'? It looks like the damage would drop just a hair, but -tohit would stay the same... and it opens up 'Shadow Meld', which looks like it would be a lot of fun.

Any thoughts on doing it, I am seriously considering it for a level 47 respec?

This is roughly my build. The levels I picked the powers are all screwed up, and the levels of the IOs themselves aren't quite right, but the power choices, set choices, and IO choices are what I currently have slotted.

I tend to BU/AS a boss, and then scrap out the rest of any group I'm facing. I run this character solo at +2 x3. I use ToF to stack a heavy -tohit debuff with my 2 quick punches, and basically never take a scratch.

I'd be happy to post my build in a bit, I need to finish some work but thankfully I am home today and probably have it up in an hour or so.

Holy carp.... this character is AWESOME. I mow through mobs! I have 2 heals, a ton of -tohit, decent defense, and soo much damage!

This is my first stalker, and she is now level 46. Are there any other secondaries that can perform as well as Ninjitsu? On paper, it looks like I may have stumbled onto the perfect character through pure serendipity.

With basic SO slotting of Shield Defense leaves you with ~25% positional defense (counting Combat Jumping). You also get ~11 resistance, or ~17 resistance if it is elemental damage. Unlike WP, you don't regen any faster.

So... how would one survive with these (seemingly) low numbers? The only way I can figure to do it is with Dark Melee (ToF and Siphon Life), however I already have about 200 levels of Dark Melee (scrappers, brutes, and stalkers), so I would rather not try that.

Anyone have some good advice on a primary and how to stay alive on a budget?

Thanks all. I downloaded a couple tools and I will run some diagnostics tonight. On the bright side it is still under warranty, so hopefully its something simple like a bad stick o' RAM.

Hi y'all, any help/advice would be greatly appreciated with the following (very weird) problem:

I can turn my computer on and play games, dial in to work, do whatever I want for 8 hours straight, no problems... ever.
If I install software (windows updates, or *anything* else), that then requires a reboot the computer simply does not.
It will power down, and then begin the boot process, and then fail with beeps.
I've listened to the beep codes several times, and it's either one of these two:
1) 1 long beep, 3 short beeps
2) 1 short beep, 3 short beeps (it's just hard for me to tell if that first beep is 'long', but there is definitely a gap between it and the next 3.

After that the only thing I can do is turn the computer off, wait a few seconds, and power it back up. The computer will then boot up properly again (most of the time, sometimes I have to turn it off again and wait a few more seconds).

The system specifications are below, and any help is greatly appreciated.

If your character is fighting in melee and being attacked by a melee fire attack, and your character has 10% defense to fire, and 20% defense to melee, which defense is used to calculate whether or not you get hit?

I hope that question makes sense... I've been wondering about for a while now, but it is mainly just a curiosity.

It has been a loooong time since I played my Dominator (Plant/Fire), but double XP weekend had me enjoying her all over again.

Now that she is in her early 40s, she is going to find a LOT of missions with EBs in them, and I was wondering if anyone had some good advice for how to deal with them?

My current plan is to use a lot of inspirations and making sure that 'Domination' is ready so that I can have 'blue on demand', mez protection, and more control. Then... I basically just hammer them and hope I don't run out of purple inspirations.

Scrappers are very survivable, and DM/WP is near the top of the heap in my book.

You can't power level another one of your characters with that character though, you can only log 1 character in at a time. (Unless of course you have 2 or more accounts).

Congratulations on your daughter. Mine just turned 4 the other day, and she is the love of my life.

Week 3 down, and I have lost 10 pounds. I'm up to a 45 minute cardio workout 2 times a week, a 25 minute cardio 3 times a week, and a little weight training 3 times a week to go with the 'lighter' cardio workouts.

The weight is starting to come off, I just hope I can keep it up and get down to where I want to be.

To be honest, most of the time I look at benchmark reports they seem like they're written in greek. My hope was that I would end up with a system that booted MUCH faster and didn't have any degradation in other areas of performance.

If it is going to make only a minor difference in boot, then I may be better off with a 10,000 RPM raptor.

If I decided to build a new computer using the Intel X25-M as my boot drive and my CoH/CoV install drive, would I have performance problems? (I would obviously have a larger drive for other installs and storage).

I've read some stuff about SSD drives having problems with small reads and small writes, but this drive appears to be in a class by itself. Does anyone have any insight into using a drive like this?

How do you know this part? Is this something my drill instructor at the gym could provide me with, or is this a doctor's measurement?
