  1. I believe it is autohit, but I'm not 100% positive.
    Slotting for damage is pretty much useless, its a MUCH better control device.
    I would slot for Recharge, Endurance, and Slow in that order, and honestly wouldn't devote many slots to it unless you have nothing better to do with them.
    Damage Procs can be nice, because they will have a noticeable affect on enemies in the field, and can proc every 10 second (IIRC).

    A very minor tweak here, I changed the two serendipity sets to Gift of the Ancients for 5% more fire resistance and some nice recovery and end bonuses. I removed a slot from physical perfection for the Kismet +tohit, which more than makes up for the 6% accuracy loss from the two serendipity sets.

  4. Okidoke, I tweaked it again.

    I added some regeneration, kept 25% recharge, enhanced EA with def and endmod, and swapped ET back in (and if I hate it, its a real easy change to put Punch back in instead).

  5. Finduilas,

    The 2 extra slots in Weave were holdovers from a previous build that I hadn't adjusted for, I think I want 5 slots for the 5% recharge, but that does free up a slot.

    Interestingly enough, I don't need the defense bonus from Gaussian's either anymore, so I am going back to another plan that uses the Rectified Reticle and Adjusted Targeting sets for a little S/L defense and a small damage bonus.

    What would be the purpose of adding additional defense to Energy Absorption if I am already soft-capped to most everything? I don't see much movement of the defense number?

    I took out Energy Transfer because I found myself constantly zapping 10% of my health every time it was up, and figured I could just plink away with the 2 smaller attacks anyhow. Is it really that horrible an idea?

  7. Okidoke, using Lord_Cyclones build as a guide/template and using advice from other posters in this board I came up with the following build.

    The big things to me:
    * 400 extra hitpoints
    * Softcap to all but Psionic/Fire *without* using energy absorption
    * Decent defense/resistance to fire (not great, but playable)
    * I dropped Hibernate, and picked up fly. I really like fly on this character for concept, even if I have to wait to 50 to pick it up.
    * I have a very expensive Numina set, but can swap it out for a cheaper Miracle set (and not use the UNIQUE) to still get my HP bonus if I find it too expensive for my tastes.

  9. Thanks for the information, much appreciated. I should probably switch orders on powers as you mention for sure, I was honestly just a little more concerned with getting all the bonuses and toggles in and slotted 'correctly'.

    Can you elaborate on the 'phase shift nerf', as this is something I don't know anything about?
  10. About 3 years ago I had a 'great' idea for a concept character, and Paragon Polar Patrol was born. I played him for nearly 40 levels before shelving him as too difficult to play, and pulled him out once in a great while and somehow got him to level 43.

    After playing my BS/SR scrapper at the softcap from level 45 - 50, I really think I can play my tank if I just build him better, and so I ask humbly for any advice you can give on my proposed build below.

    Acrobatics

    In my original build I had 9 toggles (including acro), but with franken-slotting I never really had any endurance problems. I know I could use -KB IOs, but slots are hard to come by on my build. Maybe I'm just not being smart about it, I don't know? I don't have gobs of inf, and most of these are enhancements that I already have on this and a couple of other deletable characters.

    Acrobatics

    Hey y'all. I have a dark/dark scrapper sitting at level 50 I haven't played in a long time. I was playing with his build in MIDs, and wondering if Acrobatics will provide enough knock back protection for most PvE content?

    I don't PVP, and I don't care if I get knocked down a little here and there. Slots are tight, and I like the idea of using Acrobatics if it I can.

    Any insight is greatly appreciated, thanks!

  14. Thanks for the advice guys. I can't remember if I fought Nosferatu or not, I just picked up playing this character after sitting on him for about a year. I did finally take out Ghost Widow: by dropping my difficulty, popping LOTS of orange and green, and jumping about like a twit.

  17. I have a soft-capped BS/SR scrapper that jumped in on Ghost Widow, and got spanked... hard. I assume her attacks just ignore positional defense, is this correct?

    Is there anyone else out there I should be a little more trepidacious about fighting?

  20. Snow Storm is a toggle, it will last as long as you have the endurance to keep it up, or your target/anchor is dead.
  21. Does any portion of the defense provided by 'Invisibility' suppress when you attack? I haven't toyed with that power in a very long time, and am actually surprised by how much defense it provides!
