Questions about Caltrops.
I believe it is autohit, but I'm not 100% positive.
Slotting for damage is pretty much useless, its a MUCH better control device.
I would slot for Recharge, Endurance, and Slow in that order, and honestly wouldn't devote many slots to it unless you have nothing better to do with them.
Damage Procs can be nice, because they will have a noticeable affect on enemies in the field, and can proc every 10 second (IIRC).
Make a man a fire and keep him warm for the day, SET a man on fire and keep him warm for the rest of his life.
Incarnates: K'lir(Fire/Dark Corr):Hot-House Flower(Plant/Fire Dom):Kinrad X(Kin/Rad Def):Itsy-Bitsy Spider(Crab):Two Ton Tony(Mace/WP Broot):Teeny Weeny Widow(Fortunata/Widow) : Zeroth Law (Ice/Fire Tank)
I could be wrong, but I think the damage component is to-hit, but the slow component is auto-hit. Don't worry about the damage. Caltrops is a damn handy slow/mitigation power.
Never argue with stupid people. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Caltrops were nerfed for MM in I17

They could have just buffed the corupter version to take Melee AoE Enhancement sets but Nooooooo. God forbid we BUFF something.
Thanks a bunch for the input you all. I was not aware of the nerf in i17. Based on the information given, I suppose I can still try and use 4 slots for it with 3 damage procs. Don't think it will be efficient as the 6 slotted it once was but still might count towards being a worthy asset. Last slot will probably be recharge.
Just wanted to say here that If you all ready had them slotted you are now "grandfathered" in. So don't Respec.
They do however still work. So if you have em in keep em!
I was wondering if slotting accuracy matters in this power. I just made a new traps and I have not yet once seen it miss. Also was wondering how much minimum damage enhancement % it needs to make an improvement on the dealt numbers. Any other mechanics about Caltrops that anyone has insight to would be greatly appreciated if mentioned. Thanks for your time.
