Quote:Again, my first post was writen in such a way it didn't matter if i had at the time read the rest of the tread or not. I accounted for exemping, which you missed in your first reply. My thrid post is where i said i'd read the rest of the thread, after your reply to my first post. I didn't mention anything about the follow up until after i was accused of not reading the thread and knowning the emp was exemped. Ironic, because if you'd have read my post more closely, your have seen i covered that already... (the possiblity of exemping. the arguement is the same where i knew for sure at the time or not)Unless one or more of your posts is invisible for some reason, your first post is the one I quoted in my third, your second post consisted entirely of making light of the superfluousness of FF on a team already soft-capped, and your third post was in reply to me, claiming I misread one of your previous.
Your point is that if said h33lor had used more powers than Healing Aura, Heal Other and Resurrect they would have drained her endurance, resulting in multiple team wipes, or at least you imply such with how much you credit her for the team's success. My point is that using even one of the other nine non-inherent powers available to her, including the attack she could not have skipped, would have resulted in greater success. Furthermore, I have not made any comment on the desirability or effectiveness of Fortitude; I have only mentioned it to correct perwira's insistence that having it available by level 15 would be impossible or an unbearable burden.
If a Kin were to use only three total powers, I think it likely that some would object to their receiving undue praise.
And my arguments in the first post was more then just endurance issues. I listed that as a possiblity along with not having said powers at 20 and lack of expearince. Between the 3, one can at least give a person the benefit of the doubt. Unless they'er healers apprently.
Clear as mud right? LOL -
Quote:Mine is a Fire/Emp. LvL 50.2) Fire
Solo - AoE Stuns, Single Target Hold, Single Target Immob, AoE Immob, Acc Debuff from Smoke, Damage from Hot Feet, Pets that can be buffed (timer may only allow one or two to get major buff ).
Team - Acc Debuff, AoE Hold, AoE Immob, Pets to add damage, AoE Stun.
You can keep all 3 emps forted if you have recharge in fort. Between that and the RA's, your imps are pretty sturdy. Mix in hotfeet, and epic blasts, and you've got some nice solo damage in the post 40 game.
The eairly levels and be a bear though. Unless you build for it. (Pool attack and slotting your holds and immobs for dmg, ect ect.)
I like it alot. The only REAL drawback i've found with this build is, i feel just a little useless in AV fights. Once the team is buffed... you kind of fall into HP wack a mole mode. Your control can't effect an AV during most of the fight because of the PRoD. So you buff, maintain fort and heal when needed it, and cheer your team on!
All in all, i like it, and recommend it if your going to build a controller empath. It's one of the few controller builds that lets you use your teaming powers solo, since you get 3 imps you can take care of! -
Quote:If your willing to find it, you can post it here for everyone or just PM me. I'd love it. heh. I have that advantage that take off the damage debuff to BCR. It's a handy power if you keep using it i've found. I may toy with energy shield. I still have a freespec.. was waiting for more info to filter out before i used it...There's a page that helps you find missed missions. I can dig it up later, if you want. It does take a bit longer than grinding, but is more fun.
As for tank builds - I know energy shield is a bit weird for your classic invulnerable superstrong hero, but laser knight makes you tough as nails, and works nicely with bountiful chi resurgence. Every time you use a melee attack, a weaker version of energy shield comes up. It does reduce your damage, so you should use the advantage that removes the damage debuff from BCR. My might character is low on damage right now (all rank 1 attacks) at 17, so it takes her all day to defeat anything...but it takes them even longer to really touch her health bar.
Yeah, I think three MMORPGs is my limit right now - and I stretched that to the breaking point.
My Global over there is ZeroG661. if you happen to see meh running around. -
Quote:I can accept that.
I don't know how I was supposed to do that at the time - I'm a slow typer, and just saying "CM?" or "Fort?" is rude. Much less telling her to get off her duff and attack things...
(shrug) I was playing a scrapper, hitting the enemies along side the tanks. That's a good part of the reason it took me so long to realize what she was - and wasn't - doing.
Still point taken.
Eh, I myself don't think it's rude to ask for a buff.. asking is cool with ME. If your mezzed a quick ZZZ is all most people do, and frankly i appreacet that cause i don't aways see a stuned person.
And you don't have to talk to the person in mid combat, i feel your pain about typing in the action. I'm not a slow typest, but i'm also.. not a GOOD types.. and it gets worse if i feel rushed. LOL. A little tell, NICELY, inbetween missons, asking, "would you mind forting me if you have it?" it can go ALONG ways.
But my best advice is, just chill dude. Don't let stuff like this work you up. Many a times i've been on my bubbler and heard the rounds of "good heals man, good heals." I think nothing of it, and most times relise the team is just expearsing thanks for keeping them alive, something I had a part in doing. Healing in other games is vital. Not so much hear, but lets be honest, old habbits die hard. Years of EQ, or WOW, leave you in a mindset that's not easy to shake off right a way. -
Quote:Oh? What kind of tank?
I didn't think you hated it - I have had different experiences wrt how many powers I use, but I did kind of wonder how you were building. I think it's far too easy to take too many attacks and then rarely use many of them. But it's also pretty easy to take four or five attacks with particular synergies and use them as appropriate.
Might mainly, with invlun passive and Str/Con about 260/250 respectively. Still can't lift that !@#$! titanic weight.......
That ticks me off...
I think excagreated at bit about 2 or 3 attacks. When i think about it, i use a few more, but not many, and often frind myself at a lose as to what to train.
My Might build, when i hit that point, i started training active defences. I have them all now... and MA's heal, the small dot one. I've gotten to ware i use them in tandom and can stand up to some ok damage, but i feel so squish for a tank... it's dishearting... and, i haven't been to CO boards in about a week or so, but, there's not alot of help i found up to that point as far as pointers go with building a tank. To much nerdrage still. Maybe it's died down, i 'll have to check.
Then i hit the content wall, and have no patience at all for grinding. I had fairly limited resorces to play around with my crafting... expearment with the non stat stuff to see if it helped...
So i started alting, and pretty much played the same game twice in a 4 week span... relised any other alts would only expearince the same game a 3rd and 4th time, and figured i'd just sit back and give it some time to shake itself out.
More content, and better teaming is about all i really ask. I think they relise that, and will be working on it. Time will tell.
And blessedly i'm able to afford to play both atm. So i will, at least until something else comes along to threaten CO at this point. Only other game i'm REALLY intrested in is TOR... and it's a ways off. STO, is a possibility, and DCU forsure, but i haven't heard much about it lately.. granted, i've not had time to really look... -
Quote:Ahem.
See? Right there? In your post that I replied to? The part that I bolded? The part that indicates that you did not read more than the first post, if that? I see you did admit it to Luminara though, so good for you.
I'll try to clarify things for you, since everyone you are arguing against is apparently being entirely too vague. An actual level 15 empathy/archery defender could have the following powers available to them in addition to the 3 this he4lzor made use of: Snap Shot, Clear Mind, Fortitude, Assault, Maneuvers, Grant Invisibility, Brawl. Using any one of those would have just about doubled her contribution to the team.
We are living, thinking, sentient beings capable of possessing sound judgement and making use of it.
Travel power prerequisites are available at level 6, not 12. Neither Hasten nor Super Speed buff defense. I, and many others, have made it to mission doors in dangerous neighborhoods in the old Hollows using sprint. If the aforementioned h3alb0tt had a leadership toggle she never turned it on. If she took a travel power at 14, she could have taken both Swift and Hurdle, but most people only take one of those and Health, leaving her with a spare power pick. On many of my characters I have taken the primary power available at level 12 right then, and all of my characters take a travel power at level 14.
For the record, I do not hate healers. They just make me, and the baby Jesus, cry. (Like the rad/ defender I teamed with recently, who, in the mid teens, had only Radiant Aura and Accelerate Metabolism from her primary, and Aid Other.)
Your losing track of post order. I said i knew in my second post, not my fist one. I didn't know in my first one, and honestly, i'm pretty sure i ment to type KNOW instead of KNEW, but frankly , i do crap like that alot... I wasn't trying to mislead anyone as to what i knew and when i knew it. But it's IRRELIVENT. My point stands, from my first post on.
And the part YOUR MISSING is that she COULD have had them, but didn't nessessirly have them at that level, or even at all, cause we all build our heros differently. The OP responded and mention he didn't know what powers she had didn't have. (see, i do read the thread...)
I don't judge people by the powers they take or which ones they use or don't, but on the results of the team proformance. The OP didn't like her proformance... the others obviously did, and you judge her as a bad defender based on her not having fort by lvl 20 an the testomony of one, possible bised, selfadmit overreacting stranger? LOL.
And i FIRMELY belive if it was a story about a Kin that didn't SP... many many people would feel VERY differently in retro spec. Not everyone, but alot.
and for the record, it's rather obvious. -
Quote:A good point you make. Let me tell you a short story about my Rad/Sonic fender. This is a pretty good point. We all probably did something similar at one point or another. I know I was stupid enough to put taunt WAY late in my Tank build once. I also made sacrifices on my /Rad troller to get a travel power and fitness by 20, along with parts of my primary I thought were more needed in teams. You learn as you progress through the game, and through the time you spend playing it. Sometimes you just have to speak up if you think someone would benefit from alternate choices in their build.
The whole "you're doing it wrong" meme is tired. Let's put it to rest.
As i said, i leveled hit to 50 without ever taking fallout. I had a build in mind, and it was tight, fallout was a death move, i tend not to take death moves since, well, someone has to die, and i'm actively trying to avoid that.
Anyways i'm on an STF. We finish, rewards and congrats are being passed along. I get a tell. " Nice work. you have a tight rad man. but i have to ask, no fallout??" I replay, thank, and yeah, no fallout, listed the reasons above. "you have veng?" Yell, yeah, it's really nice and sometimes you can't avoid a death, and veng ensures another death won't follow soon". "Yep. So does fallout, trust me, the work good together. you should at least test it out and see for yourself."
Thanked him for his advice. Didn't take it right away... LOL. But after a few weeks i was looking to tighten the build. as he is my go to defender. I relised i just didn't use total focus all that much anymore. It was very helpful soloing... but now at 50 all i ever do is team, and i only use my sonic attacks for safty reasons and debuffage. I think, eh, why not.
The rest is history. I have fallout and i love it. heck... i have a nagging little voice in the back of my head sometimes routing for a teammate to die... >.> it's wrong i know, but a powerbossted veng + fallout on a AV kind of ends the fight... it just does. LOL
Morel of the story. Offer friendly advice, and let people do what they want. Alot more people will listen then won't i'd bet. -
MORE DAMAGE for scrapper shield charge?!? Are you guys insane... it's already off the hook as is!
Yes, this makes me happy... holy crap... LOL. Ok... i can't wait to see this.
-
I'd have told you to play the one you have the most fun with.
This game isn't hard. Having fun is the key.
I cringe whenever i'm in a pug that starts requesting spesific powers.
We need a stone tank... when any tank or more buff/debuff will do.
We need a RAD. We need a KIN. We need a HEALER. No, you don't. You need PEOPLE. People who want to play and have fun. Thats all.
I have little tolarince for people trying to dictate how others play or what they should play. I always suggest to teamleaders, hey, that TA over there can debuff well enough, grab him, or, that fire tank is fine... ect. Most listen, some don't. *shrug* -
Quote:I don't know much about rugby but I'm not playing or watching any sport played by men with nothing but a shirt on.
Ok.. that made me laugh.
I don't watch football... I know I know, my kid brother gives me greif all the time..
My scrappers are all pretty much quick and nimble types. So the fast guys who run for passes... I have 2 big bulky guys that can play on the line i guess. (at least i know that much. heh)
Oh, an one of my scrappers is a female, so she can be a cheerleader. (sexist i know... >.> <.< ) -
my tank, is 39 and 3 blocks or so from 40. I just refuse to "grind it out" and am waiting for blood moon.
my fire is.. hmm. 34. ready for Lumaria, i just haven't done it yet.
i have about 4 or 5 others in there late teens.
Now, i relise i didn't put my cavoit in the last post.
I LIKE CO. Even with it's flaws i see atm. It's fun. I've enjoyed my play sessions so far, but i'm kind of running out of stuff to do.. and i'm finding that as i alt.. the gameplay.. just feels the same dispite the fact i'm playing a Might/Fire/Dark/Singleblade/Elec/Techy hero.
There are difference to an extent, but it's very similar, and all the missions are exeatily the same... cause there isn't enough content.
Once the add more content (which they are) and add new powersets (which they are) and start refining the teaming process (which i hope they get to soon) CO will IMO be a pretty fun little game. It just, IMO, needs some work right now.
CoH wasn't perfect out of the gate, and i don't expect Co to be. I'm hopeful at least. -
Quote:And a Kin who doesn't speed boost is doing it wrong?Any Empath who isn't casting Fortitude regularly is doing it wrong, unless they're too low level to have it. The Empath in question was neither too low level to have Fortitude, nor was she casting it regularly. She was, thus, doing it wrong. And getting complimented anyway.
If there'd been any discussion of why she wasn't casting Fortitude, there might have been a good reason. Some builds are not very Exemplar-compliant. Instead, it seems that expectations are so low that nobody but the OP even noticed she was lacking a critical power. When expectations are so low nobody notices the lack of *FORTITUDE* on an Empathy Defender, and healing is so overvalued that an Empath who isn't casting fortitude is told she's awesome, there's something desperately wrong.
An Ice defneder who doesn't sheild is doing it wrong?
Your basing your assumption of this defender on one possibley bised account and the lack of one power... Something I doubt you have done if the player in question were a kin not speedboosting or a Ice not shielding.. or, a rad.. not HEALING.
And since the defender in question isn't here to defender herself, we don't know if she even HAD the power at lvl 20, to use in a posi. It could have been her first time emp defender build, non respeced, and she put it off out of ignironce. I'd taken powers on other builds later in life that i kicked myself for... god knows if i had it to do again i'd have trained quells eairler then 47... Fallout.. i respeced into at 50... and numoris others. -
For all of CO much lauded open customation, the heros you end up with IMO feel pretty generic...
I mean... you can make and us any combanation powers, but you end up really only useing 2 or 3 accual attacks. One good AoE, one good Singletarget... maybe a gimic attack... a heal.. a passive... your travel.. and that's it. The rest of your powers are just for show.
Then the game brakes down into the same endlessly repeated sequince of, block block, nuke nuke, block block.. wash rince repeat. ALL my heros, dispite the fact they all have very different powers, seem to play the very same way... Even my offince "glass cannon" plays in the same style my hulking "tank" does. block block, attack attack, block block..
That's what's bugging me about CO right now. I'm hoping they work that out somehow. And improve teaming. Oh god, is teaming a joke IMO.
Right now, CO is my, "eh, i don't feel like CoH right now" game. It's there to help me through my coh burnout phase. lol. -
bah. I must have copied the link wrong. Anyways, it was 100% Honest.
First try. Do i win anything? -
Quote:When doing a bank mission, after its over everyone always wants to do side missions. Im always voted out lol.
Am I the only one here who doesnt like doing them?
I dont like doing them because they just feel so scattered to me, running all over the place.
Id rather exit and do a new mission
I think hate is too strong a word, but I only do side missions if the team requests it. If i'm solo, never. I'm not a badge hunter, and I just don't care about them. -
Quote:And here we have a ton of speculation on your part... that you don't KNOW for sure. The original poster was upset because a player who deliberately underutilized his/her tools was complimented. Excessively complimented, despite contributing practically nothing to the team. The discussion has been about whether that player deserved the team's appreciation or not, not about whether or not Empathy is good, or whether or not Empathy is easy to play, or whether or not Co* has "healers"
How do you know it was Deliberate?
How do you know the defender DIDN'T deserive the prase others gave?
Frankly, the OP, IMO, came off sounding a tad elitest. The team gave her undiserved prase? The other 6, or however many, seemed to be satisifed with her. The OP discribes her as being shower in prasie... maybe... this defender... was better then the OP give her creidit? But he dismisses her, and them, in effect, (they OBVIOULY don't know what a good defender is eh?) and you just accept it out of hand?
and who excacitly are we to decide who diservers prase and who doesn't? -
Quote:Oh no.. you pawnzed me... Oh wait.. lets.. reread my frist post... Notice a few things about my first post. You see that yes, i didn't at the time of the first post, see his follow up. But that's irrelevent as my first post doesn't touch on healer hate at all... read closely.. and you'll see i mention the possible of exemping and having EXTA powers as result.. i didn't mention 16 specificily i know... but one could conclude that.. well here, i'll point it out to you...It's possible to do Positron's TF with no healing at all, so the fact that there weren't any wipes doesn't reflect positively on this Empathy defender unless the entirety of the team was also incompetent and/or totally inexperienced.
This TF was run after I16 was released. The player in question had access to his/her powers up to level 20.
I'm not even going to bother to address the rest of your post. You're attempting to defend a position which no-one was arguing for or against, and doing it with faulty reasoning, no less. You didn't read the thread (no, you did not, your reply made that quite evident), you aren't taking into account the ease of the TF in question, you didn't acknowledge the availability of additional powers due to the new exemplar rules, you're just jumping into the thread to thump your chest and argue against what you perceived to be an "anti-healer" sentiment.
The original poster was upset because a player who deliberately underutilized his/her tools was complimented. Excessively complimented, despite contributing practically nothing to the team. The discussion has been about whether that player deserved the team's appreciation or not, not about whether or not Empathy is good, or whether or not Empathy is easy to play, or whether or not Co* has "healers".
Read the thread before running in and spazzing out. It helps avoid feeling like you need a crowbar to remove your head from your rectal cavity.
*** So your complaining about an empath... doing there job... apperently a good one with no teamwipes... on a posi? Was this empath an exemp empath? If NOT, then, she prolly didn't have all that many powers at lvl 15 besides them 3 slotted to be all that effective. SURE, if it where me, i'd have fort and be using it, did you ID her build to even know if she had trained it yet?
If she were a lvl 15 empath with level 15 powers and DOs, your expecting WAY to much at that level. *** If she were exemped down, she'd have had more powers,*** (how could she have MORE powers if she was exemp under the old rules??) and better slotting (maybe) but that all then depends on how her build exemps. It's normally an "DOH" moment once i relised i'd put off fort to 20 or something, but it happens.
At the end of the day though, you had an empath that did what she could to keep a team alive at a point in the game when she had limited access to her powers. And you didn't teamwipe, so, IMO, you need to count your blessings.
As for clearmind. I use it to brake mess if i see them or people call it out. I DON'T active try to keep it on everyone. It's a hassle. And most times, a waste. If she wasn't using it to brake messes, well, she should have, if the team called it out.
And as for attacking... again, lvl 15 we'er talking here. Endurance at a preimum. I'd not waste it either, seeing as how we have no recovery aura or stam and healing can be costly... ****
I didn't even bring up healer hate till my 3rd post, when i was informed that the real problem was all the prase this HEALER was getting... prompting... my second post. And i was talking to HIM in general, not the defender counity, until i mentioned the hostility of the defender boards, which you just highlited for me...
Yeah... my bad... i feel REALLY stupid and you TOTALLY set me stright...
-
Quote:If the two of you had bothered to at least skim the other posts by OneWhoBinds (on the first page even), you would have learned that the healor in question was level 47. Also, Fortitude is available at lvl 12, not 14. She used a total of three (3) powers the whole time, so any possible endurance issue could only have been from spamming heal aura when no one needed it. An actual lvl 15 empath could have had Fort 5 slotted with DOs and still had all the powers she did use and a travel power and maneuvers or assault. She also never used her unskippable archery attack against Vaz. Vaz. With their negative lethal resistance, my lowbie axe tanker chops through aboms like a greased scrapper.
Above all, though, you two failed to discern that the specific issue that so incensed the OP was the fact that the h34l0r was praised for doing a great job. She did an adequate job, not great. Great isn't even on the same server as her. I don't know about you, but I am somewhat sympathetic to the idea that a player should not be personally heaped with lavish praise for a mediocre performance that could possibly be out done by literal facerolling.
Nothing i've said is invalided by the fact she was exemped, which i knew, cause i have read it. Reread MY post more clearly and you'd know.
An no, i relise just what the was doing, and what he was whining about. healers. Your healer hate is blinding you. That what hate does, after all.
Bad player are bad players. (no in refrence to anyone, just in general) The people you are disgused at for rocking the aura, would be even worse and MORE detremantel to a team if they rolled a Storm user. God knows the havock a BAD storm summoner can do, far far outways that of an aura rocker. Yet, the aura rocker is generally lothed and hated, where as an out of control stormer is geneal met with a bit more compasion, i've found.
Empathy is a FINE set. This Defender in this circumstance did FINE. All star profromance? Prolly not, but fine. The venome in this thread is undiserved and, frankly, undefenderlike IMO. Yet, it's a prevelent feature of the defender boards. Odd that the AT most assouted with helping and supporting teammates is the most hostail of all the AT boards. Heh. -
Quote:I think your overusing SB and ID from the sounds of it.I agree with that completely, if it wasnt for having to focus solely and completely on SB and ID when I am using them, say by increasing their duration, I wouldn't be in this situation. Now, I have a few respecs (gotta love vet rewards) and I was wondering the other day if there is anything I could change in his build to be more effective. Any feedback would be fantastic and greatly appreciated.
You SB the stone tank 24/7, or they tend to cry. Other then him, you can SB at your leasure inbetween battles. Noones going to die because they don't have it. If you notice one or two guys that burn end like it's going out of style, pay special attation to them, but don't get all OCD over it. That's all I do. The stoner, any end whores i see, and everyone eles as we'er running to the next mob. If i miss you, you'll live a few mins until we'er done, and moving again.
As for ID, use it to brake mezzes and that's about it. You try and keep IT on 24/7 and you will go insane.
I think the problem is, your over buffing. Trust me, you can blast like a champ and still use all your key powers. It's really not all that hard.
If you really just can't get into it, maybe its just not your playstyle, in which case, do what you need to to make it fun for you. I won't fault you there. -

Heh. They pick the one weekend, in MONTHS, and i mean MONTHS, I'll be really busy during. I have a 2 day convension i'll be attending that weekend... it's about a 2 hour drvie from my house, give or take, runs about 4 to 5 hours, then 2 hours back. (I opted not to say up at the suite. 2 hour drive isn't bad and i'd save money.) Roughly 20 waking hours of 2xp weekend i won't have access too... whatever shall i do?? LOL
Eh, this is a bonus weekend anyways, and i've got... WAY to many 50's as it is, so i guess i really can't complain TOO much can i? *shrug* it is kind of a bummer though. :/ -
Quote:Just to give you some clarification on the new and old systems...
In most Heroic/Villainous missions, foes can normally be either your level, or one level higher than you.
Rugged/Vicious made your foes 1 level higher than normal.
Invincible/Relentless made your foes 2 levels higher than normal.
That meant that, on Invincible/Relentless, you could meet +2 and +3 foes.
I16 kept that functionality but added two new tiers: 3 levels higher and 4 levels higher. Foes still float +0/+1 levels above the new I16 settings.
Edit: I16 also separated out the size and level of the spawn into independent variables, so you can go solo a spawn of even-level foes sized for an 8-man team, or solo +4/5 foes sized for a team of one, or any combo in between.
Oh, so a +4 map could spawn +5 guys? Intresting. I've mainly been teaming and TF'ing for the last week or so i've been back, (mainly at -1, which has been kind of annoying me...) so i haven't toyed with it too too much, thanks for the info. This will make my new Spine/Elec scrapper much more intresting to play... more mobs... that's good. -
Quote:Yes and no. Yeah, i new the changes allowed for more dramatic stuff to happen, like setting missions for 8 people and such, but no, i didn't relise that +3 was a new difficulity setting. +4 i did, but i always though Invic on live set things to +3 levels. And I couldn't see how +1 extra level made that much of a difference. I'm still not sure how +2 levels up did. I didn't understand how going UP in diff was the problem, which is what your post seemed to indicate. You are aware that the new I16 settings allow +3 and +4 settings which never existed before, right?
I always figured it was the going DOWN that was the issue, and they had to disable the whole feature to prevent it. Which is think is what the red name above just confirmed. I also alway figured they'd fix it eventually, since, like i said, going up wasn't the problem, it was going down. But your post i replied to seemed to indicate that may not have been totally accurete, and i was confused as to why.
I get confused easily... plus I've been away a while and am still learning new features about I16 each and every day i play. -

1. I have 50's in every AT, both sides, with the sole exception of the Veat. My crab spider is currently lvl 45... meaning, that while not accually 50, i can run any TF in the game with an AT, well, as long as you count the epic at's as one class and not 2 or 4. I only have one peacebringer and one crab. I tend to favor building a concet for my heros instead of having one handed to me. So, i play all rolls. I tend to favor support or dpsing. I don't seem to have a nack for tanking. I can, and i do OK, but i'm hardly good and feel the least confident in my tanking skills. I feel most confedent with my defender/controllers.
2. My very first creation was a controller named Zero G. I rerolled him like, 2 days later on a different server, (Triumph) because.... my brother, who played at the time, like the name better... (I think i was on Champion at first...) Then promply got board of the game and left... So no, my very very FIRST creation no longer exisits, but the hero, Zero G, lives on to this day. My first concet, my first 50, and the one hero i tend to consider my "main". But in all honesty, I don't play him now a days as often as i do others heros i've made. He's a gravity/Kin, and i feel Kins are a little to fast twitch and reactionary for me to play really REALLY effectively. I'm OK with them, but i tend to prefure the debuffers, like my Plant/TA or Ice/Storm.
3. Gah. How to answer this... I'd have to go rolls... because DO have fav heros i play when a roll is need to be filled...
If i have to tank or play meatshield, my Fav build so far is my Invlun/SS tank Carbide. He's S/L capped with resistince, and i'm working on capping his S/L defence with just one mob in range ATM. He's very sturdy, and moble, and is able to keep argo much MUCH better then my willpower tank.
If i'm playing support, prolly my Rad/Sonic defender... or my Ice/Storm controller...
If i'm dpsing, my Fire/ice/lighting blaster... or my BS/Shield Scrapper.
If they say bring whatever, I tend to favor my Rad/Sonic. He melts AV's, and if someone should die, his powerboosted, HO'd out veng makes sure it doens't happen again. I've NEVER failed a TF with this hero. He prolly gets the most play of all my 50's. Thus, i guess, is my Fav build to play.
Villian side, my meat shield is my softcapped Elec/Sr Brute.
Support, either my Thug/Pain MM or my Fire/Thermal Corr.
DPS is prolly my... Bots/Dark MM or my Fire/thermal Corr.
If i get a, bring whatever request... i bring my Crab. He's got double leadership, so it's like having a controller fort, 24/7 on the whole team with me just standing there, decent aoe damage and pets. what more can you ask for? He plays like a sturdy blaster who makes the team better by just standing there, blasting. Got to love it. Prolly going to end up being my go to villian.
