So, instead of the Devs guessing and secretly and publically collecting data on sets that people would like to see proliferated, it would feel more involved in the community if they held a contest to let players design their preferred versions of power sets. The devs could give a guild-line and a bare-bones frame for power-set proliferation, what their formula is to create new primaries and secondaries from existing powers, what's kept, what's changed, and what's removed to create 'new' sets, and from there, the players go to town. They list out the powers they'd want for which AT in either primary or secondary in what order, and then it's just a matter of checking for valid entries, degrees of gimped versus overpowered, and then letting the community vote on their favorite entries that see developer approval
Yeah, it'd be a lot of sorting and reading work for whoever was in charge of the contest, but it would certainly let players feel like their helping shape the game just a little bit more themselves. -
It wouldn't be too painful... you just wouldn't be able to skip smoke grenade like so many blasters do.
The devices stalker would toss a smoke grenade, maybe two and fire off AS. The -tohit from the smoke and the -tohit+fear from AS coupled with the 9%-ish defense to all on the unslotted stalker make it decently survivable.
Slot in DO's for -tohit on smoke, +defense on hide and training, (potentially bringing numbers up to 15% defense, 8% -tohit(EASILY STACKED 3 TIMES)) And the power set suddenly starts to look like it's got decent mitigation capabilities.
Now consider the area denial of early caltrops on getting hide status, the AoE sleep on tear gas, the -recharge on web grenade, and just the hilarity of a stalker feeling the urge to toe bomb everything... You wouldn't be able to skip the powers you'd expect to skip, but it would still be a viable powerset

Looking at it again though, I do notice that the bane armor thing would be better off switching places with Tear Gas. -
Yes please! Fire makes everything more fun, and frankly, anything getting proliferated would be nice...
I won't be 100% happy until I see an incarnation of devices make it to stalkers though... My preferred version of it below...
-Hide
-Caltrops
-Intense training (inherent +7% def to all)
-Smoke Grenade
-Tear gas
-Super-Body armor (Clone bane armor upgrade)
-Surveillance
-Web grenade
-Trip Mine -
Coming from 3 years playing a claws/nin... It's lost a lot of it's strength. It's a viable build if you want to put a lot of time and energy into the thing, but otherwise... It's not going to be great to just pick up, SO and play.

TP is not viable as a solo travel power or for combat motion. Suggestions include changing the hover after tp to fly, decreasing activation time, removing the hover when tping to the ground, or allowing people to change how far theyre tping.
[/ QUOTE ]
The "Hover" was added to make TP viable as a PVE travel power -- removing it is not really an option. Suppressing the Fly attribute if near ground may be viable, I'll investigate that. Changing how far you can teleport is a UI nightmare, and unlikely to be changeable in a fashion that would meet PVP needs.
[/ QUOTE ] Please DO NOT remove the hover aspect from hover. Often times, I use it on my stalker to deal with caltrops by porting onto the trops and floating just out of reach.
If it is decided that the majority of players don't want the hover, please make the hover coded so the hover portion breaks when you move. This will give TP both the flexibility of breaking into a run right after a teleport, as well as giving a player the ability to float and get their bearings, or like myself, deal with certain obstacles. -
And so the Children of stalker lived and thrived, each with their own unique gift. They fought and slayed many a foe from the shadows from whence the dwelled, and heeded the advice of their Shaded father. But so did evil go that sudden changes would weed out those who cared too much, and those who lacked the strength to stand alone would be trapped in the web of the spider...
The spider, ruler of the mirror world of evil creation had been taken aback by the births of his children's children. He stared with eight eyes and saw that his children had changed and softened with family. The spider yearned to ammend this, and ammend it he would. If his children were not strong, he would be sure his grandchildren were cold and unattached to thier own families.
One by one, he dropped strands of webbing around his children, and one by one they were snatched up and sealed away in a horned mountain dubbed Mount Diable'. All were taken up until only Stalker remained, hidden in his shadow. However, Stalker's pride came from fighting alone, and he had all but lost contact with his brothers and sisters. He had no warning of the coming danger...
As if by irony, Stalker gathered his children atop Mount Diable'. There he was to reveal to them their new sibling, Em-may. As stalker revealed himself, the great spider saw, and as quickly as his 8 legs could muster, he scurried along the web which held his world in place to the moutain. There, stalker held his new child, Em-may in his arms. Slowly, he transferred a gift to this child, but with a sudden screech, stalker was gone, leaving his child with but a small portion of the power meant for them.
And so the Children of stalker looked at where their father had once been, and stared at the child. It was then that they gave a small portion of their strength to their new sibling. Ee-ehm gave her new sibling a small portion of her power to stun. Kat gave the new sibling a portion of her swiftness, granting stronger legs. Darq gave this sibling the power to trick a foe into ignoring themselves, which the others would one day recieve, but that is another tale... Claw granted the child the force to knock it's foes back, and Spine gave the child breath, and gender. Slowly the child stirred, the young male being of the shadows had arose from near loss becasue the children of Stalker would always help each other, for the others would not...
-Well, this is all I could come up with to make up for forgetting MA, Dual blades'll come later I suppose, from me or someone else. -Kimishima -
Since other people are adding in, I figure I'll give a tale of one of Stalker's children. Hope you guys like it, and don't mind it not being defender based.
A tale of one of Stalkers Children, Claw.
As mastermind had said before, stalker was strong. He struck from the shadows, and needed not the help of his siblings to complete his tasks. As time went by, Stalker had children of his own. Like the with Statemans children, his power was shattered amoungst his offspring in different forms.
His first Child, Ee-ehm, was the strongest of his kin. Her raw destructive power was unmatched, to a point where she could easily destroy the most armored of enemies without need of the element of surprise.
His second Child, Darq, used the very shadows which concealed him, to strike and blind his foes. In this way, Darq could eliminate the key targets, and continue to baffle his foes with the blinding darkness. So black was his dark grasp, that a glimpse into its depths could leave his victims shivering in terror.
His third child was a frightening creature. Its form was most distorted by the powerful poisons marching through its veins. Large obtrusions jutted from its body, and possessed the toxin which his father, Stalker, used to slowly disable the foes which managed to survive the primary attack. Though Spine seemed most strange, this one could strike from range, hurling its obtrusions in all directions, or focusing on a single target with a large spike.
The fourth child was a swift one. Wielding a steel tool, she could cut through her enemies, but should situations turn for the worst, fell back on her gift of superior defense. Her weapon was a great cutting tool, but what use is a single function tool to a child of Stalker? While using the weapon defensively, Kat Could easily avoid harm, and fight as she would.
Stalkers fifth child however, was born with no apparent special gift. Claw was mocked by the mirror worlds Freaks as Clawls, a derogatory term used to show he could not cause the same harm as his siblings. One cool evening under the red moon of the eclipse, Stalker gathered his children. He looked over them and smiled. You are my children, he declared. You each have a unique gift from me which gives you the power to defeat your enemies. Now go and show me what my gifts can do! When All but Claw had left, Stalker placed a hand upon his shoulder and asked, Why my son, do you not embrace the shadows and go with them? Father, he replied, I do not possess any gift of yours. I cannot strike down foes quickly, I cannot blind my enemies I lack the poison of Spine, and do not have the evasion of Kat. What gift could you have possibly given me?
Stalker smirked and took a step back, acknowledging his sons currently slim physique. You need many strikes to defeat your foes. You use both arms many times and take many blows before you can subdue your foe. Yes father! You see? I need a gift or I will fall behind and continue to be mocked and taunted by the others in secret! My son You already have your gift. You strike faster and more frequently that Kat, and each strike is less tiring than any of other of your siblings. In time, this gift will give you a great strength, but now, fight hard.
With hope that His father spoke the truth, Claw went out to defeat his foes. Many times he took a knee to wounds, but never to exhaustion. When he found his Sister, Ee-ehm, panting but unwounded, he asked, Are you so tired sister? You who strike down any foe in but a couple blows? Silence brother! She hissed. I may be tired, but I have defeated three foes in the time you defeat one. Claw continued, leaving his sister to rest. He came upon Kat, breathing heavily, but with much less exhaustion than her sister. Sister, you are tired as well? Kat looked at Claw, and spat upon the earth. Youve no right to judge me brother. While I am tired, I remain unscathed. You have been injured on more occasions than I, now leave me to be! Claw continued along his journey. He saw Spine and Darq in the distance, fighting through enemies and grew in frustration. Surely their gifts were better than his! Why couldnt he have been given a greater strength?
With resentment in his heart and anger in his blood, Claw entered a state that was repressed, granted from his mirror uncle, Scrapper. Claw entered the Scrapper-Lock, and began cutting through a grove of trees. Hours passed and he continued in his lock. Morning came and his siblings retreated home. Jokes of how his weakness was holding him behind floated amoungst his siblings, all the while, Stalker watched the tree grove, smiling at what he knew was to take place. Days soon turned into weeks, and his siblings grew worried. Even if they were the Spiders grandchildren, they still cared for family. They searched for days, but never found their brother. They pleaded with father Stalker to search with them, but Stalker simply smiled. He pointed out towards the horizon where the tree grove once stood, and spoke. Youre little brother disappeared into the trees almost over a week ago, but you will not recognize him children. You will not recognize his strength. His children shared a laugh and one of them spoke. Father, he is not strong, Ee-ehm is the strongest of us, and he cannot possibly compare! Stalker shook his head, speaking once more. His smile still upon his face. Go to the Tree grove and see what your weak brother has done while you all rested. Go see what strength he has gained.
The siblings looked hesitantly towards the horizon, then set off. Traveling miles to reach the grove. There they came across a great field of mulch, rotting chips of wood littering the ground. Stumps stood where a massive forest once was, and Claw, in the distance, was still whittling away at the last stump. Brother! Come home with us! Kat pleaded. Her voice was gentle and almost apologetic, but Scrapper-lock was a dangerous condition. Claw could not tell enemy from foe, and in a great swing of his now muscular arms, a force ripped through the air, Knocking Kat onto the ground. Brother! Why do you attack us!? Darq pleaded, but his call went unanswered. Claw raised his other arm and swung it, creating another burst of force. Hes gone mad! Surely father Stalker means for us to stop him! The siblings blended into the shadows, all but Ee-ehm, whos pride and power told her to charge headlong and attack.
Claw, once more, drew his arm back, and this time, swung it in a great arc at Ee-ehm. The forceful Shockwave ripped through the air, and knocked the shroud of shadows off each of his siblings. Even Kat, who was most gifted in defense, could do little to block a force like this. To end the fighting, Stalker appeared behind Claw, whos eyes slowly softened as Scrapper-lock faded. You see my children, Claws gift was not entirely his ability to fight longer, but rather to discover his own strength, his own power. But father! argued spine, His gift is like my own, he strikes from range with the sudden movement of his arms! No, Stalker shook his head and placed a hand on Claws shoulder, who looked up to his father behind him. His power was discovered, not given at birth.
-Kimishima, Who likes claws more than food, and also likes copying Jock's end post thingy. -
I was waiting on a friend to show up in bloody bay, so I look down and what do I see? a smily face of dark spots. I zoom in to take a screenshot, but then what do I see? A cat or a foxes head!. I started looking around more and found some other animals. If anyone else finds some, feel free to post them.

Maybe it's just the fact that it's size puts the RV heavies to shame, but it was awesome! -
The blackmarket truck is really... OPTIMUS PRIME! check out the similarities! The only real difference between them is the lack of the Autobot symbol. I haven't started running around in CoH yet to find something similar...
the license plate reads OP1357
Now, if that isn't a coincidence, OP, Optimus Prime, Then I don't know what is
