You're suppsed to escort the villain to the map exit? =0_o= Geez, and I thought the reward was having an NPC helping you out in the fights. <_<

    [/ QUOTE ]

No, you're supposed to take a kidnapping villain to the exit of the map, not the NPC villian.

The NPC villain is there to help you blow stuff up.

If you ever get a mystery Key or don't know exactly what the side mission is supposed to do, check your CLUES tab. A short briefing of the side mission should appear.

Also, if you get a key with no waypoint, you can always check your mini-map for the non-bank, non-police station waypoint (its usually near the spawn you defeated).

    [/ QUOTE ]
well, there seems to be a bug with the mystery key then, because i've looked at the map after getting it, and there is no way point to it.
  2. funny, my bots have no problem "Seeing" night widows.

maybe for a scrapper they're better since you can get 3 of them, but for a stalker 2 isnt enough, esp. since our HP are a fair bit lower

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Good point.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Wait stalkers have hit points? I though they only had the one

[/ QUOTE ]they have 2, actually. sometimes they rub them together to keep warm.

I mean... you, like, know this is live already, right? And it has been for... I mean, a long time now.

    [/ QUOTE ]
And what? That means I can't comment on it?

All I'm saying is that you don't see characters in the comics getting hit all that much if they possess this kind of power - As far as I'm concerned a game about superheroes should try and stick close to its genre.

Does anyone disagree with that statement?

If big old bosses are hitting the /SR character too easy then there is a flaw in the implmentation of Super Reflexes and it should be fixed.

(goes for invunerabilty too for that matter - invunerable, don't make me laugh, more like "slighty tougher than the average joe" than bullet bouncing hard bodies).

    [/ QUOTE ]

yeah, but if SR never got hit, except for AOE's, well, there would be a big nerf cry, and the devs would take SR in the same alley they took regen and beat it with the nerf bat till it screamed.

So much for multi-casting vengeance now:

but did they change Nemisis LT's vengence?

This one bothered me for a week after I started playing.

You can turn Profanity on in the option menu. It makes conversations MUCH easier to understand, especially when you're dealing with people who seem to have been raised by sailors (guilty!).

    [/ QUOTE ]

or the fact that the filter is a little weird now. i see words censored that make no sense.

Do NOT and I repeat do NOT, call yourself a puller...run out in the open, fire off your blast AND STAND THERE. Cut a damn corner, get out of line of sight. Especially if your fighting ranged enemies. It baffles me how some people dont understand this logic.
Then complain when they're kissing the floortiles, 'why didn't you guys help me?'
I never boot noobs for being noobs, but man they can try your patience.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Yeah. Love when I pull, go to back up and run around the corner and am able to backpedal 2" before slamming into the team. "Uh guys... MOVE!" followed by ::trampled::

[/ QUOTE ]Or just as bad:
You go through the time and effort to expain what you're about to do, set up a corner with Ice Slick, Caltrops, Tar Patch... whatever; then take a beautiful shot, and go around the corner waiting for the enemy pain to commence, only to see the melee characters rush past all your traps and engage the enemy before they reach the setup...

My main is a Scrapper, and even I find that painful to watch...

    [/ QUOTE ]

LOL My robots tried doing that last night with my */traps corrupter teammate.

At least when I bark at them to get their [censored] back here they listen.

Traps were successful once they came back.

    [/ QUOTE ]

...or when you do a perfect pull, then some jackarse starts shooting the moment the mobs get into his range- with an AoE preferably.

At least they usually die fast. Unfortunately they don't necessarily learn.

sorry, didn't know all you bullet points were for the exact same thing. plus i was tired when i posted that.

Don't go AFK in the middle of a Siege fight.

Don't send a tell asking if you did something wrong to get kicked.

Don't get your only toon PL'ed from 1-50 and then pretend you have ANY clue about anything. Going AFK in a Siege fight pretty much confirms why people say PL'ed people know jack.

    [/ QUOTE ]

actually, i was mysteriously kicked from a team, midmission once. first time it ever happened. i send a tell, asking what i may have done wrong, as i had been playing that char for a while( a brute), and had no complaints up to that point of my 30+ levels. i was told it was because a SG mate wanted on the team.
  9. [ QUOTE ]
    Mastermind:

The Boy Scout: His motto is to be prepared. So once he enters a mission, he will proceed to spending a seemingly endless period of time getting his pets set up just right, then waiting for all his pet powers to finish recharging, and then doing even more unknown stuff. This process can take 10 or more minutes. He will do all of this siliently and even if the party begins fighting, he'll still be at the mission door. When confronted about this, he'll blame Cryptic for forcing him to resummon all his pets everytime he zones in. You can often complete a mission without ever seeing this MM or his pets.

    Dominator:

Weatherman: This guy saves his Domination inherent for a rainy day. Strangely, despite multiple team wipes, that rainy day never comes. You can be grouped for hours and never once see him use it. Then suddenly, this same player will often pop Domination at the very end of a mission when your team of 8 has only 2 even-con minions to kill. Much like real like, the Weatherman and the weather are not in the least related. Oh, and if you're fighting an EB or AV, you can be positive this guy won't be using Domination, because he might need it later.

    [/ QUOTE ]

thus, why you run in a 2 mastermind 2 corrupter team. and you got the time on setup for pets wrong. takes me roughly 4 and a hal, maybe 5 minutes to get my bots ready. if i'm felling impatient, 3 minutes, as i'll just buff my first tier bots and the big bot with the big upgrade, and get the protector bots later, as their upgrade is kinda meh, at least neck to the little boys full auto lazer attacks. if others don't have the patience to wait 3-5 minutes, then they shouldn't have invited me to team.
  10. when your server goes down, do not go to another server that is up, roll up a hero toon, and skip the out break tutorial, just to spam in atlas broadcast, that "*server_name they are currently on* sux, *server_name they play on* is better".
