OK, I took the side panel off, and stuck my hand under the PSU. It seems that the fan in, in fact, sucking air up. I stuck my hand behind the case, and felt a light flow of air coming out.

So, it seems I was wrong, and the fan is working as it should.

It seems some people in this thread are having problems with the latest drivers (258.96), so I'm going to try to find and install a prior version (257.21).

I'll also download EVGA Precision. I run in windowed mode (HATE full screen. I always multi-task, so it's a royal PITA to tab out in full screen), so I should be able to leave it running.

Thanks for the info and ideas/suggestions, all!! I really hope I can get this card up and running. I REALLY loved what I saw of the game for those few moments before shutdown...

This might be what's causing my new GTX 460 to overheat and instantly turn off my computer...

I think I'll look for the 257.21 drivers, and try again...

Was on a team running Renault SF tonight. Deathsurge spawned right as we entered the mission in Mercy. After we finished, we went to Cap, and took out DS. No badge for us Vigilantes, though we did get Reward Merits.

However, @Jets said he had fought DS earlier, and sent a /petition. The reply he got was that it's a bug, and that it will reward retroactivly once they fix it.

The Bomb Trigger 45-50 Tip Mission with Maelstrom in it has some PraeClocks that count. It had 2 for me, and I now have 2/100 credit towards Technophobe.

GR available via Steam. Guess that means the Tech Issues forums will be getting hit with people having problems again.

Oh well. The more ways there are for people to get GR, the better, even if they have issues!! Bring it on!!

CoP Over. It failed. Miserably the first time, not quite so bad the second.

The first run, we were totally out of synch. I think the biggest problem was the fact that even though there are 3 markers on the map for the Pillars, you can not click on them and see what one is what. Add to that the fact that the pillars spawn in a random location every time you run the CoP, and that's just a steaming pile of ********. We ended up with 2 teams on the same pillar, and didn't realize it until after we started.

However, lessons were learned from that first run. We never managed to get all three pillars down. The second run, we got them down within... 10 mins, I think it was.

And then Rularuu kicked our *****. His Regen was retardedly high. I think he surpassed the retarded Regen of GMs back in... I7, was it? Or I8? Even Shivans and Nukes had no effect on him. Someone mentioned that they thought there were multiple versions of him, and this was the Retarded +Regen one.

Here's hoping we get him next run!!
