Talk about your extended previews... I hope it lives up to the hype...

[Castle] A character who switches sides completely will retain their current Ancillary / Patron Powers until they respec. At which point, they will be forced to select from their "current" alignment. Heroes and Vigilantes count toward "Heroes". Villains and Rogue count toward "Villains".
this i belive was the most interesting piece of info revealed
Oh yes. Quite a few of my Villains will be Going Vigilante and using a respec to access the Hero Epics. Then, I'll boot 'em back to being Villains!!

You heard it here first, folks!! Electrical Blast confirmed for GR!!
  5. Wooo! Now that it's been Officialy Answered, I have no worries about bringing a Scrapper to Redside:

Looks like I'll also be taking quite a few of my Villains to Vigilante, doing a respec, and then taking them back to Villain. Body Mastery Brutes, here I come!!
  6. Well, I'm hoping Epics will be shared. Not too fond of the thought of taking a Fire/SD rogue, and losing access to Fire Epic, and being stuck with the Patron stuffs.
  7. With the exception of the downtime to publish a patch on Wednesday, 4/21, and another one today, the Training Room has been up and running just fine.
  8. "Anticipated retail releases like Starcraft II and Diablo III promise to reinvigorate the category in 2009."

They forgot to mention Duke Nukem Forever... >.>
  9. And, of course, you can use 4 Luck AND 4 Sturdy, so that when that 5% chance happens, and they manage to hit you, they only hit you for 60% of the damage.
  10. That was utter garbage. It makes me glad I don't play Aion.

    Samuraiko's vids FTW!!
  11. Yeah, I pretty much settled on Fire/Shield for the Scrapper, though that does mean I'll have to bypass the Television Farm, since it's Nemesis...

And for Brute, SS/WP wasn't an option. Either SS/SD or SS/FA.

At this point, I'm almost ready to just go ahead and make all 4: Claws/WP and Fire/SD Scrappers Gone Rogue/Villain, and SS/SD and SS/FA Brutes Gone Vigilante/Hero. Of course, I may scrap those, and do KinMelee, depending on how it turns out.
  12. Gaia makes a good point. So, I went to the website, thinking that if it's news enough to send in an e-mail, it'd be news enough to be on the website. There's only one news entry for 2010, and it's dated January 14.

Then, I did a Google search. I typed in xfx and the first option to appear in the search bar was xfx security alert. That lead me to this page. Of note on that page: "We know it’s a “gamertainment” campaign because the legal print at the bottom of the e-mail says so."

Interesting way to attempt to hype up the card's release...
  13. Welcome to the game!!

    Welcome to Brutes!!

    Welcome to SMASH!!

And to answer your question, yes, it should still be viable.
  14. I think this is caused because the costume emotes detoggle and retoggle you. If you listen, you'll hear the sounds of your toggles re-activiating when you change costumes...

    In Game Ad?

That has been there for months, maybe even a year. If you come to those stairs leading up to the PO Hospital and the Base Portal, and approach them from the right, you'll see, like, 3 of them, overlapping each other...
  16. I never used my Inspirations. I selfeshly hoarded them, for "an emergency". Then, when an emergency came around, I was too slow to find and use the one(s) I needed.

And then Mission Architecht came around, and THAT taught me to Use What You Got!! I was doing it for the Badges, but still, it quickly became habit. Now, I make sure I always have at least 1 slot open for Inspirations, and use whatever drops as soon as it drops, unless I know a big baddy is right around the corner. Then, I don't use anything until just before I charge. I use the ones that I think I'll need (Accuracy and Damage at the very least), and then CHARGE!!

Inspirations are your friend. Don't be a hoarder. TRUST me. No good will come of it (unless you're working on the Debt badges... >.>).

And if you wanna make a crazy long string for converting Inspirations, instead of a Bind or Macro, check out this thread for a popmenu for doing it...

Listen to your Uncle Smurphy, and Eat Those Inspirations!!
  17. Until we get definitive info from the Devs, my speculation has lead me to two possible outcomes, with the first one having two sub-outcomes.

Speculative Outcome 1 - Loyalty Rewards
    Speculative Sub-Outcome A - 100% Loyal
This outcome means that there will, in fact, be rewards for staying loyal to your side, Hero or Villain. If you dip into Vigilante (Heroes) or Rogue (Villains), you lose the rewards, and can not re-earn them.

    Speculatvie Sub-Outcome B - Mostly Loyal
This outcome means that there will, in fact, be rewards for staying loyal to your side, Hero or Villain. However, if you dip into Vigilante (Heroes) or Rogue (Villains), it's OK, and you can keep your rewards.

Speculative Outcome 2 - No Loyalty Rewards
This outcome means that there will not, in fact, be any rewards for staying loyal to your side, Hero or Villain.

Based purely on my personal speculation, if there are Loyalty Rewards, Outcome 1B is my preference, though Outcome 1A will be fine, as well.

Regardless of the existance of Loyalty Rewards, my main Badgers will NOT be crossing over, period. It's not in character with them. Actually, very few of my characters will be crossing over.
  18. Thanks for the update of the OP, Ocho!!
  19. Is awesome news, isn't it!!

    Thanks again, VM Crew!!

YES!! For the love of bacon, YES!! It's soo stupid that the Anniversary Badges are Per-Character. Event Badges, sure, but Anniversary? Laaaame!!

  21. OP is a troll. He spends his time making threads like this all over the forums. The best bet is to just never reply to any of his posts. He'll get bored, and go back to WoW.

    Villain Badgers

Monday is the start of the I17 Release & Anniversary Celebration. I17 will be Live on Wednesday.

Some time after it goes Live, I'll be able to join in. Currently, I'm spending most of my time on Test attempting to tweak my settings to as close to perfect as possible, so that come Wednesday, I can quickly & easily make the changes.

  24. All the SGs I belong to have the TPs near the entrance, and easy to find. Sounds like you ended up in some with bad designers.
