Masterminds are fun!
I have two at 50, and 2 more resting at 3X...
My two 50´s were really fun to grow:
Psiforce Nova - Ninja / Force Field... And yes, i visualized a pinball machine when I chose the sets... She was also my first red 50.
Kaitlyn JMM - Merc / Storm... Really fun to play, and its my only toon without Nova on the name... -
There was a PnP RPG game called Aberrant, that had this same question...
The world was amazed at the supers... and they trully became the focus of the world. The media was hungry for then, for any kind of scandals involving then. They pratically shaped many aspects of the world...
War was changed by the supers. Companies of super-beings were formed, everyone of then able to tackle any government.
Fashion was changed by the supers. What was cool was directly tied with then and their visual styles.
Entertainment was changed by the supers. Television, movies, art, sports... all with a "super" touch...
When I first created a toon, I remembered that game. And I started a minor thing on its honor... On the Aberrant games the supers were called "Novas"... So all my toons have Nova on their names... -
It seens 10.3 was released... anyone tested it yet?

Well, I will never say "Gratz"...
I love personalizing macros and binds...
One of my toons even has 8 different "Gratz" messages... All very distinctive to that toon... most have only one or two...
I make macros for congratulating people on leveling... for saying thank you when I level, for finishing a mission, for welcoming back after a disconnect or bio-break (but that one is always the same for all toons: Wakko, Yakko and Dot). I also do a few macros for teasing some specific people too *looks at Casa and Pepsiman*.
There is a part on this game that its social... and chatting is part of it... -

And Yes... Change it!!!!! Granite armor, as it is now, makes me few like rejected DE... I spend lots of time and love on my costumes... and everytime I press the "Granite Form" button I sense something crying inside of me... -

First let me share my position on kicking:
I Kicked a person only once. Dont even remember what we were doing (TF or Radios or whatever). I kicked because that particular person was insulting personally one person in the group, a person that 1) did nothing that explains the insults and 2) is someone that I know enough to say that he doesnt deserved that. Actually, everyone on the team was glad that I did that kick.
Back to the topic:
I never say or expect someone do play their character a certain way. I play expecting to do MY best, and its all I need. Rarelly I PUG. I mostly play with people I know, so we normally make efficient teams. If for some reasons someone isnt contributing to the team, I may send a tell asking if he need any suggestions, but otherwise I let everyone play the way they want. By the same token, when I play I dont care about how others want me to play. If they make a suggestion, I will hear and may decide to take it. If they make an arrogant order, I may get angry, and even slash back. But otherwise I am easy going. Need SB when I am on a Kin? Sure, get your SB. Boss me around and tell me what to do? Prepare to be in rough waters...
I dont believe in a holy team makeshift. Any TF can be beaten with any kind of team, it just takes more time and strategy to adapt to the situation.
Personally, I wouldnt have kicked that guy. I also wouldnt care about him. I would play as if he wasnt there, and if something good came from him, i would see it as a bonus.
If the team asked me to kick him, I would ask a vote. Open, so he can see the impact he had on the team.
Finally... Kins (and SB) are a luxury. They make things easier, but arent necessary. You should be able to live without then. -

All my toons have some kind of Kay factor... that means that they have their own internal consistence (sometimes yicky, some times yummi), but they all are very playable.
I dont expect the same from everyone. If, for some reason, someone makes a strange and ineffective build, i will only make a note saying that and move along.
I dont expect people doing what they are supposed to do. After all, its clear that I should be nominated The Empress of the World, and pretty and strong guys wearing thongs would be launching thenselves in front of me so I never had to touch the floor with my feet... Maybe someday... Right now I will play along with what I get... ^_^ -

I did one thing too...
On Pepsi´s Citadel I orchestrated the death of a tanker that got me angry. Used extreme knockback (storm/energy, all powers slotted for heavy kb and accuracy) to bring 5 or 6 mobs against the tanker. Level of team: 27. Level of the mobs: 31.
Pepsi was fine. Died only once on this fight... -
Raised a few levels on two defenders (some 6 on each).
Raised 26 levels on the new DP/Dev blaster.
Got the cow to level 46.

My two tankers will stay tankers...
The Stone/Dark Melee will go Rogue... Not fully villain, but she is tempted by the darkness in her heart.
The Shield/Ice will stay pristine and pure as a primeval iceberg. She wont even touch the islands.
My one and only brute (Fire/Fire) will turn into a hero. Full hero. She is on RI because she is mentally ill... and she will find a cure... -
They are balanced to me... lets look:
Ninja Run: costs $, average speed, average vertical movement, cant be slotted.
Super Jump: costs a power selection, very good speed, good vertical movement, can be slotted.
Super Speed: costs a power selection, Premium speed, terrible vertical movement, can be slotted.
Fly: costs a power selection, good speed, Premium vertical movement, can be slotted.
Teleport: costs a power selection, Premium speed, good vertical movement (with hover it goes Premium), can be slotted.
They all have their strenght...
