  3. So this is what my tank currently is. I know there are definitely some areas I mis-slotted, or powers that are useless. I need your help to optimize my build a bit. He is my main hero and is responsible for supporting all my baby alts, so he needs to be able to perform decently in a farming atmosphere. I have about 300m on hand, plus all the IOs shown below. Can any of you help bring my tanker to Beast status? I am not against using temp powers or ninja run for travel if it helps make my tanker better. Thanks much in advance!!

  4. That is a bummer to hear. Awesome that it might show up fully someday though! I will just have to keep my eyes peeled and my hopes up. Thanks Roderick!
  5. I was running around today and noticed an image of a dragon on the back of someone's coat. After getting all excited and stuff I went into the tailor and tried to put it on mine, but couldn't find it. All I could find was the image in "Jackets" but not "Jackets without sleeves". Am I tripping, or is there really no option to have the dragon image on a baron jacket without sleeves?

My hero loves the dragon, but finds the summers in Paragon far too hot to run around in fully sleeved jacket
  6. Um... where would the devs get C4? is it ok to use something else?
  7. I've already bought the Deluxe version, sealed and everything for $6. The code is valid, but when I input it to upgrade it forces me to create a UK account. Major bummer since all my stuff is on a US account.
  8. I have been dying to get power-slide so that I can use it on one of my characters. Unfortunately I have bore no fruit from my search for a CoH collectors DVD that I could apply to my account. Someone mentioned that the CoH Deluxe DVD was the same thing, and it was pretty plentiful online. I bought one, went to apply the serial code to my game, and heard my dreams shatter as the website asked me to create a UK account. Is there no way to apply this code to my US account? Am I just S.O.L on this one?
  9. Awesome, thanks guys. Now all I need to do is decide whether I want to wait for the A1 model to become more readily available, or whether the A2 will suffice for me. I think I might just be impatient on this one and go for the more easily gotten A2.
  10. So due to my ASUS G2's LCD and battery connectors finally going out I have decided that it is time to upgrade to a newer model and just relegate my former laptop to "backup desktop" status. The model I am looking at now is the Asus G73JH. At $1600 standard it looks like a pretty nice deal. So what do you all think? Is this a good system for the cost, and will this system be able to handle some oh-so-sexy COX Ultramode?

  11. Wow, you all have more than answered my questions, and given me quite a bit of food for thought at the same time. I think I am going to hit Mid's and see what I can flesh out there using all your suggestions. Sadly he isn't 50 yet, only just turned 41, but I think these last 9 levels will prove to be incredibly fun now. I am thoroughly enjoying the set now. Thanks again all!!
  12. I've recently made a return to my old fire/rad/psi and have found that I am immensely enjoying the experience now. I am mostly a solo'er, but I tend to find the spawn sizes boring and small without some kind of team. So you can see why I am eagerly looking forward to the new difficulty slider in I16. In preparation though I am trying to get my lil troller prepared for the slaughter that he is going to inflict. So, here are my questions for you all:

    1) How useful is EM Pulse for soloing? I imagine having an extra AoE hold + foe end drain + decreased regen is extremely handy, but the -recovery to myself makes me cringe at the thought.

    2) What powers would you call key for this set? The toggle debuffs, LI, hotfeet, choking cloud, and fire imps kind of go without saying, but is there anything else that will make or break my solo experience?

    3) What kind of bonuses should I be aiming for during IO slotting? -KB is a given. Ranged Def? +Reharge? +Recovery?

    4) How much -KB should I be looking into getting? is 1 IO adequate for the majority of soloing, or should I bump it to 2? He is a flyer (concept reasons) so I don't have the luxury of acrobatics to help in the -KB.

Thanks in advance for all your help!
  13. I'm usually pretty cool about people "helping" me take down a spawn. I give them 1 or 2 warnings, and if that doesn't solve it I tend to /gignore them and go drink some water or something for 2 minutes until they get bored. The one thing that really REALLY burns my biscuits is when I am running around AP or PP on my lil lowbie and some lv 45+ jerk comes in and completely slaughters the groups I am working on. Kill stealing for free XP/phatlewtz is one thing, KS'ing just to be a butthead is quite another
  14. Just as stated, I am looking for an RP-oriented supergroup on the Protector server. I am an experienced roleplayer, having played in many forms from pen and paper face-to-face, to chat roleplay, to forum, and a little bit on everquest for awhile. I'm hoping to add CoH to my list.

So if anyone knows of a roleplay oriented SG on protector, please let me know. Thanks in advance.
  15. When you get invited to a lv 16 group, and the leader yells out "Meet me at mission! be right there!" Then proceeds to ignore requests to actually put up which mission, and then ignores requests to switch leaders to one of us more qualified recipients. bleh, i hate that.
