  1. Stairs... Honest to god stairs that go a full flight up, so we can make better use of the alotted space available in our bases. And maybe additional floor/level partitions, even if we can't add more equipment, the ability to make use of all of our bases' spaces would be really nice.

    Hero Corps

Perhaps it would be a good idea to give Hero Corps a more active roll in CoX? We already know that they set the difficulties for Heroes; but, aside from Henry Wong in Atlas Park, there really isn't any true presence from them in the game, save that some plaques explain about them being set up, and that there's friction between them and the community at large in Paragon City. We should see a TF and a serious arc leading up to the TF. This is something that would seriously give the game a little more fullness. You could use them as contacts for Rogues or Vigilantes doing missions in Paragon City, and maybe even figure a way to involve them in the affairs of the Isles. Makes more sense than Longbow, in alot of cases.

Yes, he uses lethal force. It doesn't say anywhere that he uses it all the time.
He is the head of Wyvern. Which means he takes responsibility for their actions, which are the assassinations of villains and others of an unsavory sort, rather than taking them in.

I gave you a link. Go check it out. It's the official CoH Biography for Manticore.

    *edit*
Additionally, the entire rhetoric that "heroes shouldn't kill" really doesn't apply to City of Heroes given what we do. You can choose to have YOUR hero not kill, but that doesn't make MY Mage-Killer any less heroic in my eyes.
Read Manticore's Biography. It does. Shall I give you a link? Try this. It's as official and real as it gets. You can play YOUR version of the game in YOUR head all YOU want. This is the game as written by the writers: http://www.cityofheroes.com/about_th...manticore.html

(Also, given that you approach the game from a "what would I do in this situation?" angle, it worries me slightly that you'd just dismiss an entire culture as "primitive" like that.)
They sold their souls to demons in order to wipe out the Mu to the last man, woman, and child. That's fairly uncivilized and primitive, I'd say.
  7. I realize this has probably been brought up, but, I can't seem to find the thread to discuss this, nor any comic book referrence; so, I'm discussing it here, and not doing anymore legwork. That said, here I go...

This whole Sister Psyche and Manticore thing put a bug in my craw. Eventually, his secret, no matter how well he tries to hide it will become known to Sister Psyche. So, what's going to happen? Is she going to say nothing and allow Justin to simply assassinate people at his own jurisprudence? Will she confront him? Or... will she tell the others, and participate in a group discussion? The fact remains that the thing Justin Sinclair hides is that he is the head of Wyvern, a known mercenary organization that /hunts down and kills/ those who /they/ see as villainous threats. And, if Shalice allows him to do this, is she any better than the villains? Does she figure her stature gained from past heroics allows her to stand by and allow acts of villainy to be performed?

It is in CoH print that she is capable of finding the identities of villains and their weaknesses and telepathically notifying her teammates. I wonder how many times Manticore used this information to ruthlessly and unheroicly stalk and slaughter an unsuspecting foe? Surely, Sister Psyche would have to realize, once she finds his secret, (and it is inevitable, if she is his wife, that she will find it out) that her relationship has just hit a serious crossroads. Now some would say I have something against them. Well, I don't.

I have something against Manticore, and it dates back to when I first played CoV in its beta days. How can a hero in Paragon City go around sounding as sanctimonious as he does, and get away with what he does? This effectively makes Manticore the all-time epic winner of the Top Villain Award. Defend it as you will, but the truth is standing right there. I'm not here to talk about Batman or some other vigilante. I'm here to discuss why Manticore is still a hero, when he isn't. He's a murderer; and, if he can hide it from Sister Psyche, then psychics in this universe truly suck.
  8. On a thread speculating post level 20 Loyalists...
  9. Uh, wait a second. The Crusader faction of the Resistance indescriminantly blows people up, in order to terrorize the population into revolting. How the H--L is that heroic? It isn't. The point being, both factions have their stalwarts, and both have their filth. So far, I've only seen one Praetor and the Provost who I like and only one Resistance leader (well, two if you count GW's Praetorian alt), and frankly, since I am 2 levels from completing 1-20 of being a Loyalist and 6 from completing the same as a Resistance, I still am intent on finding out about a few iconic people I haven't seen yet. Fact remains that seeing the gold star and thinking villain is absurdly naieve, just as seeing the three blue chevrons and thinking hero is likewise profoundly ignorant. The good guys are the Wardens and Responsibility Loyalists, while the bad guys are the Power Loyalists and Crusaders.
  10. The idea is simply this: If one has a toon who is not human, why not allow skin options, so that when you are making your costume, you keep your scales/fur/undead bits/robotic parts, as well as get the outfit stuff? the current Tops/Bottoms with Skin option only work for those who have human-like skin, and not for those who have skin textures that are not humanesque. Changing this would go a loooooooong way for the character creation process. Also, while we are at it, why not make tails totally seperate from belts?

In one of the missions Maria Jenkins says something like "If the Praetorians do invade then Portal Corp will be ground zero." It would be fantastic if Peregrine Island got a makeover to reflect exactly that - Praetorians controlling one of the Portal Corp buildings, and with a presence on the streets of PI, would be much cooler than the Behemoths in the parking lot we have now.
    Agreed!
  12. - Doorways that are customizable, between rooms (Serious work needs to be done here!)

    - The option for NO trim to ceilings and floors

i love the idea of the monitor, evry body needs the guy on the radio with vital intel.

i also like the npc base minion ideas... all of them. patrols of fully costomizeable solgers marching thrugh my base is great, and how about control/ power items come with a few npcs whos only porpos is to stand near the item and mes with the botons on it.
for exaplel, the the combo start up generator would come with one guy with the SG emblem on his sleve and he just stands near the laptop on it all day and looks like hes working. while the turbine genrator would come with 3 or 4 guys runing around the room cheking things on the turbine and they can mess with the conected items to, these npcs could come free with the power/ control item and would be just for looks.

Or a butler who cleans the place up, dusting, sweeping, and all of that jazz. Gotta have our man Alfred, ya know...
  14. How about more looks for the equipment?

Why not a coppery sheen on the generator, or even a rusty old generator that sparks?

And tech floor lights that are in the corner of the wall and floor joint?

Oooooo! Or even neon lights for a clubbie feel?

Sparkly globe for the old roller rink/disco nostalgia...

Laser tracklights like at Pocket D...

  15. 1) I would like to see a tailor in the areas just above the Vaults, so that when we do these event missions, we don't have to run all over H*ll and Creation, just to get to see what the new costume pieces would look like on us.
    2) I would also like to see DJ Zero or someone else start being able to level us up. Also a big help with doing these event missions.
    3) Perhaps we can have some of these non-interactive bartenders/revelers start giving us co-op missions for the pre-35 crowd. A few of my friends have seriously quit the game, because it caters to the upper end, in that regard, and might actually be coaxed back, if we have that for the lower levels, too.

    Young Justice

Kris O'Sullivan was a talented girl, with a desire to be social. Her mutation allowed her to access strange and wonderous powers, but also opened her to potential harm. Attending Saint Joseph's School was a catalyst for the girl that would forever change her path and destiny. Having lost friends and roommates to an insane assassin, growing pains, and other teenaged dramas, Kris formed a friendship with Angelique DuBois, the Sapphire Angel.

Both girls were remarkably intelligent, and moved quicker than most on into college. Taking an oportunity to become the sort of grown ups the world was going to expect the two to be, Kris moved in with her best friend, in Founder's Falls. But, it was still too close to their parents to let them fight crime and go to college. Moving to Overbrook, the two girls have decided to put together the JusticeNet , and have registered Young Justice as a new Super Group in Paragon City, whose goal is to unite and support young heroes and heroines as they battle injustices in the City of Heroes.

Young Justice is a heroic group of students, and young adults, learning the ropes, and showing the world they have what it takes to take the torch of leadership, when the time comes. They come from all walks of life, and have all manners of occupations; but, in the end, it's what they do off the clock that unites them. If crime thinks stopping the likes of the Back Alley Brawler or Hero One will be enough to win, they have another thing coming!

OOC: The leadership of the SG is in the hands of Kris O'Sullivan and Sapphire Angel, ingame, and the website is administered by palilla and Sapphire. Via email, the SG may be reached at acid0philus@yahoo.com.

Our forums are open to all for RP, because we do not believe that RP should be insular in a MMORolePlayingGame. This doesn't mean anyone needs to leave their SG's to participate in our forums. Instead, we encourage you to join us, as an associate, and bring to us a better understanding of your SG, so that we all learn to link up better! We believe this was the principal behind Coalition Chat, and we want to extend it to our RP threads, as well.

    The Simian Defense Force

We are a Roleplaying SG of Militaristic-Theocratic Simians that hail from the planet of Simia. We have 5 different and unique races to choose from with uniforms for each. We have the Simians, the human Thralls, the cat-like Fel, the stony Mna, and bug-like Krikk. We have been around since almost the release of CoH and are still very active and recruiting. We group frequently and are a very RP heavy group.

Check out our website at puremonkeyterror.com.

You can contact an officer via our forums, sending me a PM on the official forums, or using the /search function in-game and running a search for for the words Simian, Fel, Mna, Krikk, or Thrall.

On the flip-side of that coin there is also the Simian Defense Force: Imperial Fist, on CoV. The Imperial Fist is a secular faction who glories in warfare and total domination of their oponents. In the end the IF and SDF will have a mighty showdown either in the stars or on the fields of Earth!

    RAISE HIGH THE FIST!
