Honestly, I HATE that first one... it drives me bonkers just looking at it. I was going to delete it from my scraps, but I thought it might be good to learn from it.

The lesson learned, don't drag a Tigershark through the mud and expect him to turn out shiny.

Ok, I know there was a lot of great art in 2006. And I know we had a thread showing it all off - but this one is different.

I'm hoping that some of the brave artists on here are willing to take the step with me... and post some of their worst stuff.

Sure, sometimes we have ones that just really take off, but there are far too many pics that just sputter and die.

For me, these are it.

I drew this picture of Tigershark for a Villains Jam on another forum. The sketch looked fine and I thought it looked cool enough... but by the time I was done I had totally butched it. Not only does his face look like it went through a meat grinder... but the shading makes him look like he washed up on shore. I eventually decided to totally re-do it using my (newly aquired) line skills and some wetter highlights.

So, anyone else willing to step forward and show something their not so proud of?

(I would love to see something from Gill or DJ - I know you guys can't be as perfect as you seem )

Great idea (I'm fond of Calendars this year), but yeah - I'd ask 'm first (if you haven't already).

I honestly thought that I'd have a thread each month to highlight that month's calendar.

But now I see soooo many screenies in here... and I'm not sure if I want people to post that many of them each month (with only one chosen per month)

Well honestly, yes.

I'm hoping that it will be "part of the magic" for this project.

Each month people will "try out" for the spot (I'm wanting to have different months lsightly themed).

Part of the thrill of a contest is the suspense - I'd like to keep that in here somehow.

I'm going to give this until about mid January. Then I'll pic it (and keep it a secret) until the beginning of Feb.

Hmmmm, maybe worthy of a calaendar appearance?
